Not a bad place to get some good Taco's, and some of the staff are nice and fun to be around, but there are some things that can be changed.

Not much standing or waiting room and the dining area is very small, so there were no seats. It took 15 minutes to order and another 15 to get me food. So not a quick lunch. Of course, have to start off with the street tacos. For $3.75 a pop, I was hoping for a little better to be honest. Al pastor and Carne Asada meats were both tough and chewy. The best one was the marinated chicken. Good, but not great. There are some other items I might try to round out a fuller opinion, but street tacos are my baseline for assessing how they manage the fundamentals.

We were looking for something different the other night and came across El Tesoro's Tortas and…read moreTacos. My wife can be a little picky about trying new spots, so I was hopeful she'd like it -- and thankfully, we were both pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Papa Torta, and it was incredible. I usually skip tortas because they tend to be all lettuce and no meat, but this one was packed with meat, flavor, and freshness. Easily one of the best I've had in a long time! My wife ordered the veggie burrito and fries, and she loved it -- finished every bite and gave it two thumbs up. We're both originally from California, and it's been tough finding those authentic flavors we've missed since moving. This little spot really brought us back to that familiar, homemade taste we've been craving. If you're looking for something different, delicious, and authentically Mexican, give this place a try -- you won't be disappointed!

I had come here once before we moved to Idaho. We came here today (Tuesday) for lunch, almost two…read moreyears after we moved to Star. It was about 12:45, and the place was pretty crowded. All of the booths were taken, and we were left with the enclosed patio area, which was pretty empty. The young blond woman (who would turn out to be our server, and who's name I have forgotten) told us we could sit anywhere. We chose a table close to the street. They had their overhead heaters on, a little too warm for me, but my wife enjoyed them. The table was plain, with uncomfortable metal chairs. Our server brought out a carafe of water, which is all we wanted. We both had burritos; my wife chose the carne asada, and I the pollo asada. Mine came with nicely seasoned, tender chicken, crema, and tater tots. I think there might have been more ingredients. They also have a verde and a roja salsa, both of which were very tasty and packed some heat. The large flour tortilla was nicely browned, and both of our burritos were very flavorful. My only complaint is that one end of my burrito did not have any chicken. So, more chicken, otherwise delicious. Our server did a very good job, checking back with us a few times. She was friendly and attentive. I did not care for the noise level. It was very loud, though I could still hear my wife speaking. However, we had a larger party of women near us that were extremely loud, until they received their food, and then they quieted down. But, not a great place if you want to have some quiet conversation. However, we will most certainly be back.

Everything was tasty and well-prepared, with good portions and a reasonable price. The atmosphere was lively and pleasant, and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall, a solid spot for casual Mexican-inspired food and drinks in Eagle.
