Came here for a quick bite before going on a road trip. Place was an absolute mess. Tables had old food, trash was on the floor, water was leaking from the fountain station, and the workers were messing around in the back. Took about 15 minutes to get my food. My family of four were the only ones there. Not busy at all. When I walked in, I was told they weren't taking orders at the counter and would need to place my order on the kiosk, even though they were all just standing around chatting. During my visit, no guests walked in and the drive thru wasn't busy, yet the manager did not instruct any of the employees to clean up the dining area. Paid for extra cheese on three of our tacos. Only one had extra cheese. When we asked them to ask add extra cheese on the other two (which we paid for), the lady looked back at us annoyed. When they handed it back to us, my wife said thank you, and they did not say anything in response. No surprise, the restrooms were also a big mess. Paper on the floor and the trash was overflowing. (after rolling my eyes 100 times) but then she told me that she couldn't charge me for it because it's not a button on the register.. at that point I looked at her blankly and said it's a free item that's why it's not on a button.. she demanded that I had to pay for it so I said fine (again..) But because she couldn't find the button that said "free red sauce" I was then charged $1.89 for something that is usually free. If it sounds like I'm repeating myself I am. This exchange back-and-forth I swear lasted five minutes but probably only happened for 45 seconds.. this woman was a complete moron. Free = free. In fact i even called corporate who said " we do not charge for our signature red sauce" OH really ...... HUMMMMM .. guess I'll be calling the manager tomorrow.. This particular Taco Bell has been consistently BAD since i moved to the area 15 years ago. TB has gotten rid of several menu items, including the enchirito and pizza. I haven't been back since they stopped having either on the menu. There was no point. ANNNNND .. i tried ordering ahead on the app (because some options are only app options) and guess what - they don't have the option at this location to pick up or place an order because the store "is getting ready to close" which is damn near impossible since it's 3 in the afternoon. It's amazing that the last food and health inspection was a year ago and apparently they received an "A" with being not in standards compliance. That's the rub of it all, especially after a public health crisis and supposedly "safety" protocols. I went up to the counter to order some lunch and their trash can in the food prep area was overflowing, there is trash on the ground not picked up, probably due to the trash can being overfilled. Yet no managers in sight, just three kids whom I don't have any idea of how responsible they are. Additionally, all the tables don't look like they have been wiped done, much less sanitized and there is garbage and food scraps on the floor, so there is no sweeping or mopping during the day. The drink machine also has a small river and trash in it. Had to watch who made my food and check it before I ate it. There need to be more spot inspections and basic food hygiene practices as a bare minimum. read more

Granted, they were busy (no busier than the neighboring fast food restaurants who are churning customers out), but my modest order of 4 tacos and a burrito have taken more than 30 minutes (still waiting as I write this). They seem to accommodate drive thru above walk-in. Nobody in the location appears to be over the age of 19 and offered little to no explanation for the wait.
