Terrible service. Sat in the line for over 20 minutes. How hard is this job and how hard is it to find idiots to do it

I went there today for some lunch. Sat in line for the drive thru for 15 mins before even ordering. Then another 15 mins to get up to the window. When we ended up getting our food, we were not only missing items, but the food was cold. We then went inside to get our food remade. And we waited another 20 mins in the lobby, along with a bunch of other customers that were also waiting. We only got 4 burritos and a taco. Some customers that came in after me, got their food before my food was even remade. After waiting another 5-10 mins and an increasing lobby queue, they hadn't even STARTED on remaking my food, so I asked for a refund and left. Drove by around 9:30 again tonight, and I saw a line of cars waiting in the parking lot for their food, AND a crap ton of people waiting in the lobby. I understand being understaffed, but I have NEVER had issues with this Taco Bell before... until now. They normally pop out food like it's nothing (super efficient and quick). I don't know if there was no management there today or if the employees didn't care, but this is unacceptable. read more

This was one of the worst fast-food experiences I've ever had. I ordered 20 crunchy tacos and the new chicken burrito, totaling $28. The tacos barely had any meat in them, so little that my kids immediately complained. The burrito was even worse. The chicken was completely inedible, to the point where I couldn't even finish it. When I picked up my order at the window, the employees were extremely unprofessional. The food was half-wrapped, causing items to fall out of the packaging, which is unacceptable. What really concerns me is that I believe I was given someone else's food. They asked me if I was "Lisa", I'm not. That alone raises serious concerns about order accuracy and food handling. Given how bad the chicken burrito was, this feels like a major red flag. Overall, this was a horrible experience from start to finish, poor food quality, sloppy packaging, and unprofessional staff. This Taco Bell has rarely messed up my order which makes it stand out among other Taco Bells in Indy. One time the drive-thru had a crazy wait time and they forgot one taco once but other than that it's my typical Taco Bell experience. 1.) Crave Taco Bell 2.) Repeat The key to any Taco Bell experience is to go in with very, very low expectations. Taco Bell's promotional menu items are always like going to a test kitchen for me. I tried their double steak grilled cheese burrito: A double serving of steak, seasoned rice, crunchy red strips, chipotle sauce and nacho cheese. I added guacamole for an up charge. That girl at the counter could care less about providing some sense of welcome for us. We really felt like we were such a bother to make a food order at the counter. Amongst pulling to the intercom to order, we were told to give them a moment. This in which I understand. After placing half of the order the worker says "Does the screen look correct?". We place the second half of the order in which I wanted a few items to not be in my burrito, I told him so. After completing the order I wanted to double check and make sure those items were not it my burrito. He goes to say "that's what the screen says" in a very condescending manner. On that screen it did NOT say that those items were to not be on the burrito, the items were listed and seemed like I said I wanted them on the burrito. This Taco Bell was quick, inexpensive, and fresh. The food was steaming hot when I received it! I truly love not interacting with the employees but still being able to sit and eat here. They have updated seating to where you can plug in a charger. Also I like that there are high chairs available (family friendly). In addition to all of that the food was good. After my daughter's volleyball game, we popped in to this restaurant to grab a quick bite to eat. The employees were friendly and engaging. One gentleman asked my daughter if she would like a cup for water when he didn't think she had a drink. The other smiled and humored my daughter when she claimed her name was, 'mamacita.' This location does not have enough employees to function and should not even be open. It takes 55+ minutes in the drive thru and there's no way to exit the drive thru line once you're in it. The employees are obviously working hard there's just only 2 or less people working at any given time which explains the long wait times. I only give two stars because of the friendly service and the nice remodel of this location. I stopped going here a couple years ago because they just couldn't get an order correct and the food was not edible. I hate to share that nothing has changed as far as the food is concerned! This location is honestly the worst one I have ever been to. My husband and I use this location out of convince and because it's a cheap quick meal. This last situation was not something I could let go....I received such incredibly poor service and it was all over POTATOES!! I have two kids under three years old, the only thing they eat from Taco Bell is a cheese roll and potatoes. Since we order online I ordered potatoes ON THE SIDE for two items since my kids like the potatoes plain and if you order a side of potatoes on the app it still charges you full price even when you remove the sour cream and cheese and I'm sorry but I am not paying $1.60 or whatever for a side of plain potatoes when I know it's much cheaper without. So I ordered two boxes on the app like I usually do. I told them my name at the speaker after an automated voice tried to take my order twice. Anyways, the lady gave us our bag and drinks, we assumed the food was ours because she's the drinks that they gave us were correct, so we pulled off. A little down the street we realized they had given us the wrong order, so we turned around and went back. I told them the issue at the window and was told to come inside. I originally ordered for drive thru pick up not in store pick up. I asked if they could just fix the issue as I didn't want to leave my car, and she said no I had to come inside. So we went inside and they gave us our boxes right away after grabbing the old food from us. The whole issue could've been fixed at the window and I don't feel I had to leave my car. I am giving them a one for cleanliness. Drive through was 12 cars deep and moving steadily, so clearly this is their focus. Dining room is closed for eating but you can walk in and order. Buy, not with one of the many employees standing around......you are forced to use their self service machines. (To which she pointed!!) The machine is relatively easy to use however the debit reader was not working! Only way to pay and it was not working. They still would not take our order at the counter! This is the worst Taco Bell when it comes to being open. They open late all the time. You can be in their line for breakfast and they will open 30 minutes late. They close early all the time. You can go there on an afternoon and find out that they've closed the lobby because they say they don't have enough people on staff to serve people in the lobby. My grandson and I just walked up to the doors at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, and they were locked. We were told by the employees that they did not have enough people to serve the lobby, we would have to go through the drive-thru. We walked away and got in our car. I sat down to make this review only to watch them let another person in, close the door and lock it behind him. Then I watched as an employee left for the day.
