I ordered 3 steak chalupas and got 3 bean chalupas.... i started to check my order but i was in a rush so i left quickly. I went through the drive thru this morning (8/25/2020) I placed my order at 6:45am give or take a minute. I pulled up to the window, paid... and then NOTHING. 15 minutes go by and nobody comes back to the window to give me my food or to tell me what happened. Notta. I knock on the window. NOTHING. I pull around. Park. Go inside. Ask where my order was. They say there was nothing on the screen to be made. At this point I'm already late for work and i just need a refund. But conveniently there is NO ONE there who can issue me a refund. They said their manager will be in at 9am, so they take my name and number and said they will have it then call me. It's now 3pm and I have not received a call. I have even called them 7 times throughout the last couple hours and no one is answering. So to recap: ordered food, never received food, asked for refund, never received refund. I've worked in the industry. I understand mistakes are made. There is a lady who works here who's name is Lisa and she is rude as heck. They are supposed to be open 24/7 and yet they closed for an hour due to being understaffed. I was told we would be able to order food inside the lobby at 10pm. So we go back in (we are truckers) and the lobby is closed. You are better off going to liberty. This taco bell is owned by the gas station so most prices are DOUBLE a normal taco bell. Couple the exsorbant price hike with what seems to be the worst Kearney has to offer staff wise and you get this atrocious restaurant. Everytime i go here i expect to wait at least 30 minutes to get my cold, sub par food from an apathtic worker only to discover its either the wrong order entirely or half my order is missing. I live in Kearney and if i want taco bell i will drive to liberty. Its virtually the same price and takes less time. The service here seems to get worse over time, the manager can be heard screaming at his understaffed crew, and because of said understaffed crew, wait times are into the 20 minutes plus category and you can not drive through the drive thru. This taco bell though in close proximity to me, has allowed me to decide to not go to it anymore and drive the extra 15 minutes out of my way if I find myself wanting to visit the establishment. read more

I've been frequenting Taco Bells since 1970. This location is inside of the Pilot Travel Center which is primarily a servicing location for Semi truck-trailers and has other services for the truckers which is unrelated to my opinion of the Taco Bell. This Taco Bell is probably the worst I've ever had. That is saying a lot as I've been to many of them all over the USA over the years. Not only is the service slow but the food is generally poorly prepared. I doubt they are able to keep staff long enough for them to become competent. Hiring dependable people is difficult in this area because of competition. I live here and I will drive 10 to 15 miles away to the nearest Taco Bells rather than go to this one. Don't get me wrong, sometimes the staff are polite and friendly, but that's a gamble. The worst time I had was in the morning I was the only vehicle in line and ordered on the speaker system. I then drove forward to the window. No one was there or greeted me. I waited nearly minutes and no one appeared. I left and luckily had not had to pay. I avoid this Taco Bell like the flu. The Burger King and Arby's nearby have much better service and food quality. If you want decent Mexican food there is a La Fuente restaurant on the other side of the I-35 overpass on the north side across from the McDonald's. It is a full service restaurant and while not expensive, it is a bit overpriced. Better to head to Liberty a few miles south on I-35. There is a Taco Bell off of the 152 Barry Road exit about 2 stoplights going west and turn south then turn right. Nice folks and good service there. read more

WOW, is all I can say! We ate here this evening. First thing we see is a kid who cut his finger and was saying God I almost cut my fingernail off. Hoping he was not making our dinner. All the workers are out of control. An older lady who appeared to be the manager comes from nowhere to get the cash drawer and like 8 teenage workers were loud and screwin around. I was shocked all she said what shhhhhh! I feel like I am running a daycare. She definitely had ZERO control over the staff. One kid is banging his head on the presumably clean counter. Someone else is yelling because some water was on the floor by the order counter. It looked like damn circus in there. I was absolutely shocked at all that was going on in there. I really questioned the cleanliness after watching all of this going on. The owners should be pulling footage of this circus from this particular day, I don't exactly think that they would be pleased to see what they are paying these kids amd manager to do. These kids should be trained to act professional in the workplace as well as safety and sanitation. It is making sense now that anytime I come through the drive thru my order is missing something or screwed up. Well it is probably because there is absolutely no structure to that staff and establishment . To all that come to this Taco bell, be sure to check your order before you leave and know that it is best not to know what is happening behind the scenes while you food is prepped. I should have videoed it. The one girl said she was sorry they were embarrassing us. Nope not at all, you were embarrassing yourselves looking Like a 3 ring circus.
