The beef tamale was gelatinous. I took one bite and didn't finish it. I've eaten tamales out of a can and those were better than this one. The beef taco had Italian dressing on it? My husband got Chile verde. This was not good. After trying to figure it out, we believe the sauce was green enchilada sauce and Italian dressing. The pork was tender but everything else was just wrong about it. The flour tortillas tasted like store bought mission tortillas. When the server asked if everything was okay, yes, everything was just okay. The server was good and kept our drinks full. I wouldn't recommend going here though. 36 hours later - this was the only thing I ate yesterday and I've had food poisoning symptoms since last night. Not severe, but definitely have not felt good for 24 hours.

The al pastor taco had good flavor, though it was missing that caramelized texture and sweetness you usually get from meat cooked on a spit. The cabeza taco was probably the highlight -- tender, flavorful, and the salsa verde tied everything together perfectly. The chorizo tacos had a really nice flavor as well, but were just a tad dry. It is a food truck so don't expect the restaurant atmosphere. The ladies behind working there are nice and they had fun talking Spanish with this gringo. lol I only tried the street tacos. Being from San Diego, Ca that is how you know if you have good Mexican food by starting with the tacos. I will go back again and try the rest of the menu. Definitely worth trying if you want a good variety of street tacos, especially the cabeza.
