Literally three out of three times I have ordered here the food is wrong. Every time the vegetarian items still have meat, they randomly give you things from other orders and give your stuff to other people, and they have no quality control of any kind. In the drive thru they "forget" your sauces. They burn your food to the point of inedibility. Horrible service! It's been several months since I last went to Taco Bell and tonight I was craving my taco Supremes and bean burritos. When I arrived at 9:10 PM the door was locked with the Taco Bell employee in front of it stating that they were closed which is 40 minutes early. My bf and I love Taco Bell, so we have been coming had made it a point to come here weekly. No more income stream from US Taco Bell! The previous week, we tried a 99 cent grillers. They're small but very good. This week, we went and they gave it to us in a large tortilla with only maybe a spoonful of "stuff" inside. It was pathetic. I looked at it and it was literally 70% tortilla in each bite (because of the many layers the tortilla had to do to cover the spoonful of stuff. I asked her for another one but they refused, saying that that's why it's 99 cents. They lied to my face, saying that was normal and how it was meant to be served. On more than one occasion I've visited this particular Taco Bell location and wished I had not. Most recently my wife and I went through the drive thru. Upon arriving home our Taco Supremes had virtually no Beef and the Chalupa Supremes had virtually no Chicken. My wife called the restaurant, spoke with the Supervisor I believe, and was treated very unprofessionally in my opinion. Being strategically located isn't enough. Normally, Taco Bell's really not that bad - decent quick meal or snack for a decent price. THIS particular Taco Bell, however, is incredibly skimpy with the goods. I went through the drive-thru and ordered some regular tacos - nothing fancy, just a taco with beef, lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes. When I unwrap my taco, the shell was barely filled with anything. I've been going to this particular Taco Bell since it first opened it's doors in 1995-1996. I used to walk there as a kid. I remember they used to sell ice cream there. It was like a TCBY or something. Then after they closed the TCBY they started selling Choco Tacos for desert. I digress. This location has been through a lot. From 2000 to 2004 it was horrific. Bad and slow service tons of mistakes. Since it's renovation and management change it has been good now. They are pretty quick at getting the good out and the mistakes are at a minimum. The one issue I have with this Taco Bell, and I'm not sure if this is a universal problem or even some sort of upper management decision. But the problem is, I will go through the drive thru and order say 6 or 7 items. They will say " Do you want any sauce with that?" I will say yes, hot sauce please. They will then either hand me 2 or 3 hot sauce packets or 1 hot sauce and 3 milds. So I have two options. Either I park my car and go inside or I will say " Can I have 6 hot sauce packets ?" If I ask for a specific number of packets they will still short me. If I ask for 6 or 7 hot sauces, they will give me 4 or 5 of them and one or two mild. So I don't know if they have been given an edict or something, but the dispensing of their hot sauce is disastrous. If this wasn't an issue, I would give the joint 5 stars. It's in a rough area of new haven too. " Four corners " is a tough spot. A lot of the surrounding blocks are really tough neighborhoods. read more

I worked at this store back in 1995 when they had TCBY and Pizza Hut. TCBY went out the door because the machine kept breaking down.....then we shrunk the Pizza Hut to just wings, bread sticks, and personal pan pizzas. Service at first was good, I was a shift leader/manager and trained new people but they never stayed....one of the managers kept taking large sums of money putting the store in the hole, and I hope after I left that this manager was thrown in prison. I went back after I left New Haven to go back to Nursing school and returned home to Minnesota. I had a friends wedding to attend to and decided I would stop here and eat. BIGGEST MISTAKE I ever made!! I got food poinson, and had to miss my friends wedding and had to go back to Seattle where I live now. At that time, the bathrooms were out of order, stinking up to high heaven, food was awful as well as the service, plus Pizza Hut was gone. Things were ok until one of the managers kept stealing money! This store is awful! I wouldn't come to this store for all the tea in china! The customer service of this Taco Bell i would give zero stars if I could. Me and my boyfriend wanted to make separate orders at the drive thru and they wouldn't let us. Their reasoning was that they were really backed up with orders. There were 4 cars ahead of us and NO cars behind us. So my boyfriend said sarcastically "what do you expect us to do, drive around again just to order the second order?" And the woman told us yes!!!
