I have been coming to this busy Taco Bell, #023450, on a regular basis since it opened in 2007, and I cannot remember any time in those 18-plus-years I was unhappy with the food or the service at this South Salem location. Since the pandemic, I do virtually all my ordering through the App (which I highly recommend, Taco Bell has a great rewards program), and receive my order at the drive-thru. I always receive a cheery greeting, both at the menu board and at the window. The Staff is courteous, efficient and responsive, and I find the food always fresh and affordable, and depending on the time of day, the line is not too long, and it moves fast. I don't always agree with Taco Bell's menu changes (so long, Chilito, I miss you) and some items have been downsized (remember when Pintos-n-Cheese were large enough to be lunch?), but there always seems to be something new on the menu. Not surprised, just disappointed. Prices are up, quality has gone down. The meat doesn't taste like meat (I wouldn't be surprised to find out it's mostly tofu crumble or something). Severely short staffed right now, expect a good 30min to 1hr wait time. We also had an incorrect order, and a 1hr wait time the night before, called the supervisor to have it fixed, and to their credit, they did, but I did have to have the order done twice, cause they got it half right the first time. Only thing I can say right now, be patient, go somewhere else if you want it fast, cause they got like four people running around trying to keep up with all of it. Excellent morning crew, always greeted with a smile. I love coming through early because it's the best time to get lunch food. This is definitely my favorite Taco Bell. My only complaint is times I don't receive napkins or sauce, but that's not happened in a while which was late night. Regardless, no place is perfect, but I can tell this stores turned around and I've had excellent customer service. I also appreciate the diversity, I feel like there's a unique group of people. We order some nacho fries tonight and they did not give us the cheese which is okay because stuff happens. This is the closest Taco Bell to us, so it's the one we normally go to. It always takes at least 20 min. It's the slowest one I have ever gone to and they never get our order right. We always just order stuff off the menu, no special orders. But food is always missing that we pay for. I think once out of the past 10 times have they gotten the order correct. Don't go there unless you have at least 15-30 min to wait for your food and I'm not exaggerating when I say 30 min. It's happened regularly. read more

For whatever reason this location does not know how to make food properly, 99% of the time we have to have them remake at least one item from our order, it doesn't matter if we customize the item or not, they can't even properly make a crunchy taco supreme (not just once or twice but almost every time). They are constantly under staffed, they close the lobby early, they tell walk-in customers to use the kiosks because they don't have anyone to work the counter, they are slow. (I know a few people that have applied for jobs there and never heard anything back so I don't know if it's laziness on the management's part or what.) We've been directed to use the kiosks and then had customers walk-in after us and get served first. This location is horrible and no one that works there cares about customer service. read more

So he goes up to the counter and the "new" cashier says I can't refund your money because there was NO manager. I said that is not right as it was 12:00-lunch time. So he asked the guy to totally cancel our order, again he said there is no manager. We walked out and was headed to the bank to dispute the charge but hubby says he paid cash. So back we go. Low and behold the manager was there, all in less than 3 minutes. Needless to say the manager refunded our money. We will not be going back to this Taco Bell ever. Woohoo As good as it gets! Man oh Man I have read the other reviews on here I am just astonished. I have only been to this location like once a week for the past year and a half during lunch hour. Maybe once or twice in the evening. The Manager in the day time Karley keeps a very tight ship. with that being said I have always gotten the Right food, Hot as expected in a clean environment, with friendly employees who are more than willing to help someone out (the beginning of last year I had crutches). Anyway Today I went in this morning at about 11am and I don't know why maybe it was just the friendly atmosphere, cleanliness, speed & accuracy but my experience today & my order was the best it has ever been, really Great, Hot & Fresh. I've never ordered fast food and had the workers deliberately try to fuck the orders up. All of these pictures are from separate orders in separate cars, all behind each other around 15 minutes before closing tonight. They messed up every single item on all of mine and my friends orders. They didn't know we were together, and there was still even someone behind me, I'm going to guess their order was fucked up too. Our food was cold, not cooked, smothered in sour cream, and just missing ingredients that are literally in the name of the food. I understand we went through the drive thru right before closing and I wouldn't be leaving a review if their attitudes were the only thing wrong with this visit cuz I don't like customers right before closing either but there's just so much more wrong. There's no guacamole on the seven layer burrito, but they did manage to add tomatoes and onions which they asked for none of. They must've just been too lazy/ stupid to 1) tell us they are out of potatoes, it's 10-15 min from closing we would understand, or 2) cook some more damn potatoes? There's no way the workers did not do this on purpose and it's really annoying to buy food and not even be able to eat it because it's so revolting. Please be more sanitary when making customers food cause I can't imagine if my nieces and nephews would of ate that. I just like to put it out there that the lobby is not supposed to be closed intel 10 o'clock at night Sunday- Thursday and then Friday and Saturday are supposed to be closed by 11pm. Last night I went to go into the lobby and order food at 8:10pm they had the doors locked there were employees in the store they had seen me and looked away and refused to let me in.
