If I could give zero stars, I would, I have nothing nice to say about this location of Taco Bell. All of the female staff here are rude and miserable. The food taste terrible compared to another Taco Bell. The Men staff aren't as snappy as the females, but they aren't quite friendly either. I went almost an hour before closing, and I was greeted with. "We are closed bye" if they hate their job so much maybe they should find a new one. Human hair cooked right into the chicken breading!!! DoorDash driver at this location texted to say she was 2 minutes away. So I go down to meet her so she doesnt have to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to my apartment. After waiting another 20 minutes in the high heat and humidity in the Philadelhpia region, she texts me again to say she's picking up my order at the store. She told me 20 minutes ago she was 2 minutes away. Another 15 or so minutes go by and she finally arrives with my food, but refuses to get out of her car to deliver it. The manager at KFC told me I can come in and have the chicken replaced, which was nice. But when it comes to the refund, DoorDash is telling me to call KFC about it and KFC is telling to call DoorDash about it. I've had to call every day since then, and nobody wants to help, they just want to pass the buck. Today I was told a supervisor would call me back within 30-60 minutes. 75 miutes later I'm calling back to find out where tthat supervisor was. Was told they would call me back, but 2.5 hours later I'm calling in again. So, since they are giving me such a hard time about refunding the delivery fee($6.32 fee+ a little tax), I have no reason to not show a picture of the human hair baked right into the breading. Next I'll be filing a complaint with the local health department. Sad because I have legitimate reasons for requesting a refund. Never asked for a refund before and they are giving me a hard time and no accepting accountability. So save yourself the trouble and avoid this KFC, as well as Doordash delivery. When they screw up, they will make it so difficult to get help because they want you to give up and let them keep your money. Nah, I'll just go up to that location and show people pics of this health department violation. Can't believe the driver wos too lazy to even get out of her car. Avoid Taco Bell/KFC at 835 W. This place is a joint KFC-Taco Bell. Decent staff, but really really slow service. Bathrooms are single-use, and sometimes locked by the employees. Trash cans are flooded with trash. Let's talk about the real stuff. I got the spicy tostada and the loaded taco burrito. You know that feeling when you are eating something you've eaten before and then you question after a bite or two whether they got your order right? This felt like that. While I know taco bell doesn't have the same consistency of a Starbucks, I consider that my goto menu items (e.g. spicy tostada) should taste the same. Where do I start? I can't think of a single positive thing to say about this Taco Bell. The staff are condescending and rude, the restaurant itself is repulsively dirty on a constant basis, and I have never been there and received my order correctly. My most recent trip to this Taco Bell was by far the most disappointing. After placing my order at the drive-thru and being talked to very rudely in the process, I proceeded to wait in line for the better part of 20 minutes behind 2 cars. When I finally approached the window, the person working the drive-thru walked by the window and made eye contact with me multiple times over the span of the next 2 or 3 minutes but never offered a greeting before finally coming to take my card for payment. I then waited another 5 minutes at the window while the staff argued over whether or not the order for the person in front of me (who was asked to pull up to wait so they could help me) was finished. I ordered a Sierra Mist and the person who was working the drive-thru (who I later learned was a member of the management team) said "You wanted a Pepsi right?". Making eye contact with her I stated that I wanted a Sierra Mist. She gave me a look like I was bothering her and shoved a bag of food and a cup of soda out of the window. I was so irate that I took it and drove off without checking, which went against every instinct I had going into this entire Taco-centric endeavor. I finally got home and opened my bag, and to my complete shock(?) and surprise(?), before me sat not the 2 burritos, cheesy gordita crunch and Sierra Mist that I had asked for, but 8 taco supremes and a Pepsi. The only thing they had gotten right was the size of the drink. At this point I did something I never thought I would be able to do. I stormed out of my house and drove all the way back to the Taco Bell, went inside, and slammed my sad bag of now-soggy taco supremes on the counter. The staff made eye contact with me and continued standing around the kitchen area talking while one person was saying unacceptable things to the customer ordering at the drive-thru speaker. Finally one of them gave me a look that said "Is there a problem?" but did not actually speak words to me. I explained to them the situation and the person who had originally helped me at the drive-thru came and tried to explain to me that they were under new management (could have fooled me), and that they were in the process of hiring a new staff (again, could have fooled me), and that that was the reason for all of the confusion. Lots of excuses. They offered to let me keep the 8 taco supremes that I did not order (thanks for the sack of food I won't eat), and to re-make my original order but DOUBLE (wow, what a steal!). Being that this entire ordeal had left me completely drained, I reluctantly accepted and waited another 15 minutes. For Taco Bell. I waited 15 minutes for beef and cheese inside a flour tortilla. Now as I sit here, having eaten double the amount of Taco Bell that I originally wanted out of spite (not sure who I'm spiting, in hindsight), I have this to say: Close the store. If I could give this no stars, I would. This Taco Bell / KFC is the worst one I've ever been to. My husband and I just moved to Springfield two months ago. We love Taco Bell and were excited that one was so close by (we sound like fatties, but we're not, I swear!). However - this is the WORST Taco Bell I've ever been to. The "service" (if you can call it that) is horrendous. The first time my husband went on moving day, he had to wait forever at the drive thru to get the order. He thought they were just having a busy day. Then on this past Friday, we tried to get a quick dinner before going out and someone briefly spoke on the drive thru speaker, we asked for a minute to look at the menu, and then no one ever came back! We waited for another 15 minutes and then drove by the window and no one was even at the window to take orders! We were concerned the place was being robbed or something... Then just last night I went to the drive thru at about 8pm to give it ONE more try. I placed my order fairly quickly at the drive thru speaker, but once I got to the window and paid, I had to wait 20 minutes for my food! It's supposed to be fast food. There was only one car behind me and it looked like only one customer in the restaurant...so who the heck knows what the hold up was. I was told "our taco guy is slow", "hold on just a little longer", and then received a blank stare from one employee asking why I was still there....So basically I interacted with 3 people that had no idea what they were doing. I had to repeat my order about 4 times - just for a few tacos! I don't know if they focus more on the KFC side at this location, but they need some people who know how to make tacos. I love tacos so much and am very sad that we can't eat here anymore. Please hire some new staff. This location refused to honor the prices on the menu. I tried to order a very simple $5 KFC box combo and the person ringing me up added another .20 to my combo. When I brought up the discrepancy she said all they had was large cups and therefore were charging me for the upsizing. I'm told the manager is refusing to order anything other than large cups and wanted me to pay for the add'l charge without even telling me. The manager was finally called to the front and her only response to me was to remove the .20 and I wouldn't get a cup then, now my $5 combo doesn't have a drink? I think not. If you took the neon sign off the side of the building and just walked in, you'd probably think you were at the snack bar of the special Olympics. Come to think of it, that's rude, insulting and uncalled for. The handicap people at the Special Olympics don't deserve to be compared to these dum-dums. When placing your order at the counter, the Taco Bell/ KFC associate will give a look that may lead you to believe that instead of ordering a taco you in fact asked him or her to calculate the atomic weight of uranium. The cleanliness of the the entire property, inside and out could be compared to the interior of port-a-potty after being rolled down a large hill after being used for a week at state fair.
