I have been pleasantly surprised by my meals here. I used to always go to Chipotle, but decided against going there ever since they had computer problems with their ordering system. I ordered the surf n turf bowl (chili lime shrimp with steak) and, as you can see from the picture, the man who prepared my meal made it look nicer than any meal I've ever had from any other Qdoba or Chipotle. I don't know if he does this regularly, but the man has flair for making something nice out of Qdoba ingredients. Rather than just slopping things on a plate like other places, everything is arranged in a pleasing manner and the colors of the food are very inviting, making me delighted to eat this. I hope Qdoba knows that this particular man is a skilled artisan at what he does. read more

This location is so hit or miss... I've come here in the past and the service is so-so. On this day, the person who was at the front of the line seemed a tad disgruntled and distracted. When I walked up - no greeting - "what are you having" was my greeting... note to service workers and employers: greetings set the tone for how service will be... anyhow, as I moved down the line with my order, the other 2 associates were much more pleasant... On this visit I ordered a burrito - usually the burritos are stuffed so much that they associates always seem to have a hard time closing them and wrapping them with foil but in this visit, my burrito was wrapped perfectly! I've always been team Qdoba since I grew up next to one at home. It's our go-to when mom doesn't want to cook, when I'm starving after school or practice, or just any old Tuesday because I have no shame. It is no different during quarantine. No, we can't sit down and eat in the restaurant, but that's fine with me. I've ordered a couple times for pick up off the website and I'e had nothing but a positive experience. There is a door on the left that you go in through to get pick up orders. The right hand door is used for customers who want to order at the store. Aaaaaand they still offer their free guac and cheese. How can you not pick them? Also, I do not normally name drop, but I've tried ordering from starting with C and ends in hipotle during quarantine and we waited outside in a **sea** of people for almost an HOUR after our designated pick up time. read more

First time getting food from Qdoba (delivered via GrubHub). I ordered 3 crispy beef tacos with guacamole, shredded cheese, pico de gallo, and Fiery Habanero sauce. I cannot understand, for the life of me, who decided to squeeze these 3 tacos into a small SALAD bowl. The tacos barely fit in there, the toppings had spilled out into this already tight space, and because of the odd packaging, made the tacos a soggy mess. If I wanted soft tacos, that's what I would have ordered. Sheesh. read more

This review is long over due ...I am a regular here, This is my go to--qdoba ...my experiences here weren't always the best of the bestest but overall like with any relations of going to one of your favorite restaurants I've come to love this location. The location is perfect-it's on City Ave and near the high way..the workers here are all in all A-one...the employees are consistently attentive and the food here is madddd fresh...I mean like you can literally taste the freshly diced onions and tomatoes...freshly crushed avocados...and of course you get to watch the cook handling the variety of freshly grilled meats...I mean I love this place...I seriously think there was one time recently that I over dosed on qdoba...I was like non-stop coming here for 6 days straight ...can you say obsessed with qdoba? And not just qdoba as a corporate organization but this city Ave location ---and the workers here, no matter if you come when they are just opening or are about to close the workers here never display attitudes, management is always on point....well okay a few times I had a problem with a line worker here but I informed the upper management and I immediately saw a major improvement in the employee the next couple of times that I've attended here. I have to honestly say that qdoba makes me feel valued...as if I'm apart of the qdoba family. I can go on and on...but i will just say this ...whatever you order know that your business is appreciated...I can attest to that...oh and add queso!...omg I forgot to mention their amazing guacamole ...yikes ....dude I seriously love this place!!!! I normally go to this Qdobo because I live in the area. Today was an awful experience. The young man preparing my food literally threw the burrito wrap from the heating thing to the foil. The wrap landed half on the foil half on the counter. I was irritated but didn't say anything. He wasn't pleasant which again I gave him a pass on because perhaps he was having a bad day. Only to get home and take one bite of the brisket burrito and see these disgusting chunks of rubbery weird meat parts. The entire burrito was filled with this. I immediately threw it out. I can get over poor customer service but not poor quality food that I'm paying for. read more

Two stars because the workers are just so rude. Every time I go to this location they have the biggest attitude. I came at 10:58 knowing that it doesn't open until 11 and planned on waiting the two minutes outside no big deal but when we arrived outside a worker was outside smoking and said in a nasty tone WE NOT OPEN YET. In addition to this, the same worker who made our order refused to give us more cheese and said "nah that's too much cheese" so another person had to get it for us. Also the chips were stale so we asked for new ones and same lady got really annoyed and accidentally poured too many in the new bag so she dumped the excess in trash? Lol just very poor customer service overall and the management needs to up it with their staff. read more

What a disappointment. It had been a long day for me, and I was considering Chipotle but changed my mind, and looked up Qdoba instead. I liked the post-workout bowl option, and decided to order online. Wrong move. I did not receive a complete order, the bowl was soupy and soggy, and had no lettuce which was listed on my order. The chips that I had ordered and paid for, were not included. When I called, I was more or less schooled by the person on the phone about even calling Qdoba, who also abruptly hung up before I could confirm they'd refund me for the chips at least. I called multiple times after that in the attempt to confirm this. First, a person picked up, and immediately hung up. Next phone calls were not answered at all. I finally left a voicemail requesting a refund for what I did not receive. The only reason I gave this experience 3 stars was that I received food. But Qdoba for sure made me regret ordering delivery. I will not do that again. (Bala Cynwyd, PA store 8:13pm delivery). read more

I've never had a bad meal at Qdoba. The portions are quite large for me so I usually get the " Craft 2". You can choose to sample 2 things on the menu in smaller portions rather than one large item. I usually get a small chicken quesadilla and a salad. The food is consistantly good and the line moves quickly. This location is pretty clean as well. read more

Qdoba with a Chipotle down the street- y'all are already set up for a loss in my opinion. QDOBA is what it is- you basically get what you get every-time. If I don't feel like dealing with the parking at Chipotle I will come here to grab lunch. I have had the opportunity to visit this location multiple times and I am reviewing mostly on the service and not the generic major chain food. I ALWAYS wait a long time in line here. There will always be 3-4 people working on the line but it doesn't matter. Still a 20-30 min wait during their lunch time rush. I always watch and it's just chaos. No real structure as to why people are standing where they are behind the counter. This is not a new method of serving. It would be one thing if it were occasionally but this is an every time I'm in there thing. They are always out of food and you've must wait for fresh stuff. Overall this place needs a management boost. The food is what it is. The service is worth skipping. read more

Nothing exciting for me at qdoba. There isn't much atmosphere which is fine as long as I get wowed with something, but that's not the case for me. Tacos were ok, not a whole lot of food in them however, way too light on the chicken and all rolled up they were a little bit bigger than a stick of string cheese. I usually go to el limon and 3 tacos is plenty there, here I'm still hungry but nothing seems all that exciting. My buddy got the 4 cheese nachos, which seemed to me to be chips slathered in mild cheddar sauce and beans and chicken. Half the chips I tried were stale, not even crunchy ( I didn't dig into the cheesy chips) Free refills are nice but honestly, there's much better Mexican fare in the area. read more

Standard mid grade Tex Mex style food, personally I find the gumbo bland, and the salads underwhelming but love the ancho chile burrito or anything in the pick two deal (quesadilla, burrito bowl, tacos). I pass the qdoba sign every day on the way home from work and since it is supposed to be something like Chipotle, i had to drop in on my black friday half day. There were 8 tables that were occupied including myself and the occassional customer grabbing food to go. The guac here is FREE! AND THEY HAVE TACO BOWLS!! I havent enjoyed one of those since freshman year in college, soooo about 6 years. I will admit that there is still something delicious about chipotle, but these taco bowls will keep me coming back! Went to grab a bite to eat at this establishment yesterday afternoon. I've dined at this Qdoba's in the past with generally no issue. Yesterday however, the young woman preparing the food behind the counter was especially rude and seemingly annoyed at another co-worker. She was aggressively throwing food in the bowls of the patrons she serviced. She started to put items in my bowl that I did not want and when I let her know that I did not want them she started to argue with me. I told her to never-mind... I reasoned she was having a bad day...but I'm not going to pay for my food, have it flung on my plate and a side of attitude with it. Perhaps Qdoba should spend some more time training these young folks to have a professional attitude while at work. read more

Located in a plaza with other shops so plenty of parking. I've been here a few times. Quick service. I always order a chicken burrito bowl. The flavor is a bit inconsistent. The very first time I went- the flavor was great and good portions. Another time the chicken was salty and today's chicken was bland and portions were small. Been a while since I've been to this location so maybe things changed or it's just staff dependent for portions. Even the lettuce was lacking even asking for extra for certain things. read more

Expect that thirty minutes after the time your order confirmation says "Your order will be ready at...," the staff will not have even started making your order. There is so much I can say about Qdoba I simply don't have the time nor the space... but I will try! Let me start by saying those of you who are all "Chipotle Grill" this and"Baja Fresh" that don't know what a freshly made, great tasting burrito is until you've experienced the Qdoba Burrito. You simply can not get a better burrito that is not in a sit-down restaurant than at Qdoba in Bala Cynwyd. The are huge, tasty and fresh. That being said, there is so much more to this place than burritos -- which makes it stand HEAD and SHOULDERS above Chipotle and Baja Fresh. The soups are incredible. THe tacos are as tasty as ever and while Qdoba lacks the salsa selection of a Baja Fresh, the flavors burst into your mouth like fireworks -- much better and fresher than Baja Fresh. The tacos -- hard and soft are scrumptious and the quesadillas are fresh and HUGE. The staff here is super friendly and fast. They come around and bus your table (a la Chick-Fil-A). You simply cannot have a bad meal here, especially if you only have a short lunch break! read more

I went to this qdoba and it was probably one of the messiest establishments I've seen in Philadelphia. Most of their ingredients were cross contaminated. Also when I asked for my ingredients to be added into my bowl, the sever constantly ignored my request for half a scoop and instead put in multiple scoops. The server also allowed the people in front of me to reach their hand over the barrier to point out food they wanted. City Ave has a great Qdoba here. It's funny, when you have visited a chain enough to know which ones are its better spots, compared to others; isn't it? I've always enjoyed coming here, as it's spacious and bright with lots of windows. It's in an older shopping center, but you wouldn't know it by the insides. And the folks here always seem super-friendly. It's a challenge to keep the tables clean, in a chain that has a university nearby. There have been a number of times where it's unsurprising to find tables with tons of food waste on them, from those grubby scholars. But no restaurant is perfect. There isn't much else to say about a chain with so much written about it, other than my food has always been hot, fresh, and delicious here. read more

Literally just went to this Qdoba since I'm working a lonnnng day at work (nice to know there's a Qdoba only a mile or so from work!) I love Qdoba so much that, although I work right across the street from a Chipotle, I drove all the way down City Ave for Qdoba. Maybe I'll join Rod G's Qdobaholics Anonymous. I like this location! It's kind of tucked away in the strip mall, so I can see why you would easily miss it. This Qdoba serves the standard fare that you'd find at any other location, delicious and fresh Mexican food. I was very disapointed. Half starved and just after reading some great reviews, I was charged $8.35 for 3 pulled pork tacos and a small coke. They were flavorless and watery and saved only by being submerged in cholula sauce (which is in generous supply and the reason for the single star). They're definitely chasing chipotle and running very far behind. I'm from houston, I love philly and the food here. I've been very impressed with philly mexican food and I'm not in love with chipotle. There's plenty of great mexican food in philly, but this place is not among them.
