I come to this Taco Bell on occasion in the morning to get my toddler his cheesy rolls for breakfast when we are having a morning. I was feeling hungry myself so I added on a Cantina Chicken power bowl. I asked for no rice and no beans but to add extra lettuce. They didn't swap and instead charged me an extra .35 cents for lettuce. When I got to work and opened up the container, I got a really sad looking power bowl. No extra lettuce (that I paid for) at all. I will just stick to cheesy rolls for my toddler from now on. The service in the drive thru is hit or miss. I came to this taco bell and ordered a mexican pizza and crunchwrap supreme on my way home to Mililani and didn't open my food til i got home to find multiple bites in both orders, with a slice missing from my mexican pizza! (there is teeth marks in the bites of the crunchwrap) after driving all the way back to waipio to report this, the manager was rude and did not apologize for this disgusting behavior on behalf of her staff. she continued to go to the back and tell the other employees as they all laughed about it, we asked to review the camera footage and the manager took my name and number. this whole experience was bad and very disappointing, i will definitely not be coming back and make sure that people are aware of this. read more

The Waipio Taco Bell has been my place for late night food recently since they're open until 1:00am. I've always liked the restaurant as an option to burgers or chicken sandwiches, especially because they have a fresco option that includes a little more vegetables. What really brought me back to this location and Taco Bell in general is the Cantina Chicken Burrito. The seasoned chicken is definitely more tasty than their usual chicken, but the mix of sauces, the vegetables (sliced purple cabbage), and the return of pico de gallo in the burrito caught me off guard in a good way. Since having my first burrito about a month ago, I've been somewhat of an evangelist and must have shared at least 200 of them with friends by now (yes, it's that good to me, and I have yet to meet anyone who didn't like it and gone back on their own to get it multiple times since). Back to the Waipio Taco Bell: their late night crew is solid. Last time I pulled up, I asked for 25 Cantina Chicken Burritos (I was getting for friends who work late), and they worked so fast I barely waited 5 minutes at the window for all 25. They were so pleasant about it too... joking with me that they're gonna get scolding from other customers now because I made them run out of the seasoned slow-cooked chicken. I felt terrible, so after I distributed the burritos to my friends, I bought some appetizers and pizzas for the Taco Bell crew and delivered the items to the crew using the drive thru (they DID run out of the chicken, but I wasn't the only reason for that... there were multiple large crowds that came through due to a nearby track meet finishing past 10:00pm). I'm getting pretty disappointed with this Taco Bell. It's close and convenient to my location and I gave it a second chance after many years of getting good food from them however lately in the past couple of months given the span that I've waited between those months to go again to see if they would redeem themselves have once again fallen short of my expectations . The first month that I went there, I got my usual order of four soft tacos, Dorito tacos, crunch wrap, supreme chicken, quesadilla, and grilled cheese burrito. Everything was fine except anything that had lettuce. It was the first time that I seen the rapper of my tacos wet and I couldn't understand why I had never seen this before. It was disgusting pretty upsetting so I drove back to the location to question the manager who told me that oh this is how they received it from corporate. I had to express my discussed that never in the many years of going to this location have I ever experienced this. Fortunately, they were able to refund my order, but have the audacity to ask for where the rest of it was the rest of what I chose to eat to see if it was something edible was what I had responded so unfortunately, that could not be returned . I go today fortunately, none of my rappers are soaked from lettuce or moist meat. I come often in the mornings because I fell in love with their breakfast Crunchwrap. But when I come in the mornings, their service is fast and my food is hot and I'm always greeted both through their intercom and at the window. However, there is an advertising issue. I came to this Taco Bell to redeem my T-Mobile free bean burrito. I came to this location the last couple of times and it went pretty smoothly. This time, I redeemed my burrito and on my side, it showed that it was being ready. When I arrived to pick up my burrito, they stated that I owed them money. I then said that it was free and it's already ordered on my side. Then the manager and a couple of the other workers kept on repeating the same thing and now it's been at least 5 minutes of back and forth. Then the manager touches something on their screen, and then says, oh you cancelled it. I said, "No! I didn't even touch my phone! You guys must have done something on your end to cancel it." We wanted to try the " new" crispy melt taco, so we had in the craving box. We enjoyed this new item and would recommend it. Mom missed her Mexican Pizza and was glad they brought it back. Service was a drive thru so it looked like team work from my observation as I was waiting for my order. Since I didn't go in this time, my recollection was an improvement, so the ambiance was pretty comfortable from my very last visit when the drive thru was too long. I really dont think people come on Yelp to check reviews for Taco Bell before going, but I was looking for places to eat and noticed the terrible ratings here. To balance things out, I figure I share a review. I always have a complicated order because I'm vegan. Out of the million times I've come here, they've only ever made a mistake once. They put cheese in my order, which I cant have. I brought it back and they cranked me up a correct order in a minute. I cant say the same for the countless other locations I've been to around this island. Waipio Taco Bell is always lightening fast and I love that they're pretty much always spot on. I must say this taco bell location in Waipio is very clean and they have dine in. The restrooms is the cleanest that I have seen from any fast food joints. The attendant that took my order was very pleasant and polite. I really enjoyed my lunch. Oh I forgot to mention I ordered the Mexican pizza meal and it was hot and fresh. If you want the worst service available on island be sure to stop by this Taco Bell and ask for Michelle. Came here for food on the go, had two orders, one of which being a mobile order. They messed up and only gave me one bag with half my items. When I knocked on the door to inform them of their mistake, they told me that I had to go back into line in the drive-through to wait another 10 minutes for them to fix the mistake. Once I got to the window, the manager wouldn't even talk to me and had the young, innocent employee, who helped me at the door/relayed her initial message make up further mistake. They remove popular and Classic items from the menu without warning (I had to argue with them to get a beef burrito today) and when they had an upset Customer today, the Manager here in Waipio stayed in the back and wouldnt even come to the window to address the concerns. The drive thru is very slow! Cars don't move up...after 10 mins finally got to order. Since it was raining you would think they would be quicker so the customer don't have to get wet. Nope slow motion omg! Took another 5 mins to get the fries and change. Was excited to try! Nope soggy, ugly (not even picture worthy) so sad. This is my go to place for fast food when I'm feeling naughty. Seriously, I like just about everything on the menu here with my go tos being the nachos bellgrande and a beef chalupa. Although you also can't go wrong with the original faves-- soft or crunchy tacos, mexican pizza, or a chicken quesadilla. Some items are overpriced but I love that they always have a few deals going every time. Make sure you check your order though, as they've screwed up mine a few times. read more

Went today to redeem my free reward after loading the Taco Bell app. I couldn't get to the end to pay/redeem. Clerk called the Manager Jennifer. She was so unhelpful n didn't know how to use the app too. She kept telling me to press the pay button on the app but it didn't work. She walked away. She told me call 1-800-8226-2955 for help. The number was an insurance number. She totally ignored me n all the other clerks too. I used to go here all the time (for years). After this encounter and the total disregard for customer service I won't be going back. I hate that feeling when you eat something and you think to yourself, 'Why do I have a feeling I'm going to get sick or food poisoned?' That's how I felt when I ate here yesterday, and today I'm sick. I knew I shouldn't have gone against my better judgement, especially after there was a case of one of the workers there having Hep A. I ordered a chicken Mexican pizza and two chicken burrito supremes. I always ask for the sour cream to be put on the side and not in the burrito because it ends up being like goop inside the burrito. Well, they did give two small containers of sour cream but soooo little. Two containers had to be used for one burrito. The worst part is, when I took my food home and started to eat the chicken Mexican pizza, I noticed the chicken looked really old and shriveled, like it had been sitting out since the night before. It looked really old. You can see it in my attached photo. That's when I started feeling like I may get sick. Shame on you, Taco Bell for serving poor quality food! I admit. I kinda like Taco Bell. It's cheap and easy, like the...OK, I won't go there. This place, however, NEVER gets the 'fiesta salsa' or 'siesta sauce' or whatever they call it right! My son hates it on his burittos, and we ask that they 86 it, but they keep on putting it on! It's partly a language barrier issue, as often the person working the window isn't that good with the English, and partly a quality of employee issue, as the person working the window is usually incompetent.
