So absolutely delicious! I added a spoonful to my Gringo Freedom Tacos on flour tortillas and it was the most amazing combination! Wow! Gringo Freedom Tacos with a side of Black Beans will be my goto from now on.. The manager said they make the black beans fresh everyday! Not from a can! You can tell! Best I've ever had! Love Ms. Destiny! She's bartender extraordinaire! I highly recommend!

We LOVE PapiChulo!…read more We were first introduced to them last year during a team spirit night for our local travel softball team. A mutual friend connected us with the manager, Stefani, and from the very beginning she was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and accommodating. She made the whole process seamless and got us on the schedule--and after such an amazing experience, we knew we had to come back again this year, for another event! Last year also introduced a lot of our families to this location, as we all have been frequent flyers! Tonight was just as fantastic. We arrived around 6:00 PM, and by 6:30 all 12 of our families (about 50 people!) were settled on the patio. Our server was attentive, friendly, and truly on top of everything. As someone who's worked in the industry, I know how challenging it can be to manage a group that size--especially with lots of kids--and she handled it like a pro! The food did not disappoint! We started with queso and chips (a must!), and everything we ordered was delicious. I had the tuna tostada and a birria taco, my girls enjoyed a quesadilla and chicken fingers from the kids menu, and my husband had the taco salad. The portions were generous, and every bite was so good. And you definitely need to check out happy hour! If you get there before 6 PM, they offer great food and drink specials. The Mango Tango (I ordered mine without jalapeños) was amazing, my husband loved the Watermelon Smash, and another parent couldn't stop raving about the Pineapple Mojito. If you're part of a local sports team looking for a fun way to host a team dinner and raise funds, this is a perfect spot. And if you're in the Royal Palm/Wellington area--trust me, you NEED some PapiChulo in your life. You won't be disappointed! Huge thank you to Stefani and the entire staff for always taking such great care of our crew--we appreciate you so much!

We finally decided to try La Cantinita and all I can say is... what took us so long?!…read more After being open for nearly two years, we finally stopped in on a Friday night, and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the live mariachi singer was absolutely fantastic, he really made the evening special. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The chips and salsa were fresh and delicious, and both of our meals were packed with flavor. I ordered the chicken fajitas, and my husband had the pollo asado. Both were excellent! We had such a wonderful experience. La Cantinita has definitely earned a spot in our regular restaurant rotation. If you're looking for great Mexican food, outstanding service, and a fun atmosphere, I highly recommend checking them out...especially on a Friday night when the mariachi singer is there. You won't be disappointed!

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for the longest time, so when my friend asked me to pick…read morethe location for our Sunday lunch date, I jumped at the chance to throw La Cantinita into the chat. My friend had eaten there before, so she suggested sitting at the bar due to experiencing really slow service during her last visit. When we arrived, the restaurant wasn't too busy, with a handful of additional people at the bar and a few tables filled with guests. There are a ton of options on the cocktail menu, so after a long deliberation, I decided on the margarita flight. I must say, the presentation is 10/10. Some flavors I enjoyed more than others, and it's not something I would order every visit, but realistically, for the price, it's a good value. Service was indeed slow, even at the bar. I did have to repeat my order several times, so I do believe the staff may be a little new to food service in general. There were a lot of staff working in the main dining room for it to have been so slow. As for the food, I was significantly overwhelmed by all the options on the menu. I decided to go with the elotes off the cob and the empanada flight (steak, chicken and buffalo chicken). The empanada flight was so delicious! I could only finish two of the three, but I thoroughly enjoyed the third one today at work. They weren't only crispy, but the filling was flavorful, and the portion size was great. The elotes were yummy as well. I had enough to take home and finish with my last empanada. Definitely two items I would re-order on another visit. Overall, the service was friendly. We were asked to take a picture, and my friend and I agreed, laughing about possibly ending up on their IG page. Shortly after, the photographer brought us three framed versions of the photo for purchase, lol. Definitely a more Lauderdale/Miami/Atlanta-type lounge move, but funny nonetheless. We politely declined.

This was a wonderful lunch experience in Royal Palm Beach…read more If you are craving authentic Mexican Cuisine, this is your place! A large interior and bar area with a very friendly and helpful staff. I ordered a Burrito lunch special. My Burrito was great and filled with a generous portion of meat. The exterior tortilla was soft and I could cut it with a fork. The sauces are fresh and wake up all your taste sensations. We shared a caramel flan which was large and large on delicious flavor too!

We had an excellent lunch here…read more The place is large inside with a bar area -- the "cantina" -- and two dining room areas. There are tables as well as booths. The menu is large with quite a few lunch specials from which to choose. It was not an easy decision. We enjoyed addictive chips and two salsas (one mild and one spicy) while looking over the menu. My husband got their lunch burrito. It came with sides of refried beans, yellow rice, and salad. There was a dollop of sour cream on top. He had ground beef as his burrito meat filling. He really liked the flavor. He said the tortilla wrapping was soft. He was planning on taking half home for dinner, but wound up eating the entire meal as it was so good. I had an appetizer of shrimp ceviche. The large serving came spread out on a plate. There was a ton of shrimp -- cut piece of larger sized shrimp mixed in with whole baby shrimp; chopped tomatoes, onions, cilantro. All in a marinade. I added an additional squeeze lime and some of the mild salsa. The shrimp dish was delicious. It felt healthy and refreshing -- especially on the hot day. For dessert, we had (vanilla) flan. A large portion that was perfect for us to share. It came with whipped cream and a couple cinnamon sugared chips. This place is a keeper.
