I had a server named Miguel. He was so attentive and sweet he was the best. Made the food corrections when they came out.

Went for the first time Friday night and it was fantastic. Right when you walked in we were greeted, and we also had a party of 18. They were very accommodating the waitress that we had was for all 18 of us and she had every order as well as Bill correct. She kept up with our table along with the other tables that she did service. I got the trio fajitas. The portion size was gigantic and you still got an entire plate of rice and beans. The salsa was beyond flavorful. I could've just eaten the salsa. Pricing wise I think they're very average compared to other Mexican restaurants. I do not think they were overpriced by any means. We'll definitely be coming back and I love the decor and ambience from the moment you walk through the doors. read more

We stopped by for lunch after visiting Lion County Safari. Nice place, very well decorated for the authentic ambiance. Extensive menu, lots of items to choose from. Tortilla chips showed up first as we arrived at a table, and were very tasty (there lies danger, sigh). Guacamole was made table side and was very tasty (albeit maybe that was the smallest portion we had during lunch, or we were hungry :)) I got chicken tortilla soup which was a very big portion, so I couldn't even finish it - it was tasty but a bit unusual as it didn't have tortilla strips but there was rice in the soup. All dishes were very tasty and, beware, really large, even those ordered from the lunch portion of the menu. Good service, friendly, prompt, attentive. Recommended. read more

Great ambience and it looks like an authentic Mexican restaurant right out of Mexico City. We heard they had a mariachi band, but it only comes in on Sundays. We were not there on Sunday. We were celebrating a Mexican friends retirement, and it was an appropriate place. As soon as you sit down, they put chips in front of you with salsa, and the chips are good. We ordered guacamole and queso to go with the chips. Everybody had margaritas and they come in a variety of ways. I'm pretty sure they're all handmade because they were very potent. Enjoyable. There were various dishes, served at the table, including enchiladas, burritos and tacos. Street tacos .I mean. My tacos were served with refried beans and rice and my plate looked very pleasing. The burrito also looked good and considering they ate about 3/4 of it, I would say it was good. We had a little trouble getting a second drink, but all and all the experience was good. We went on a Sunday night around 6 PM and were seated immediately. So far, so good. They brought out chips and salsa and kept offering to refill... so far, so good! The food was decent. For me, Mexican food is comfort food. Nothing about the flavor is particularly wonderful but the whole thing is oh so good. I got a combo: two enchiladas and one taco. Served with rice (would have liked a bit more... minor point) and beans. Wonderful. Three dings. FIrst is minor: the plate was REALLY hot when it came out. I don't recall the waiter saying "plate is hot... be careful." He may have said it but with a plate that hot, IT HAS TO BE SAID. My fingers were smarting for a few minutes. They're fine one day later, however, so like I said: minor. Second is moderate annoyance: we ordered a pitcher of frozen strawberry margarita and the entrees came out almost immediately and _before_ the margarita. I would have liked to be able to eat chips and drink margarita for a bit and then have the dinner later. This has to be told otherwise it won't happen. Third is major and it's all about the margarita. I didn't so much mind that we got strawberry when I clearly said _frozen_ strawberry: I told our waiter and they replaced it very quickly. I was shocked that the pitcher was $32 but according to Google AI, that's about the going rate these days. What really annoys me is I don't think they put any tequila in it! I had four cups out of that pitcher and didn't feel one inkling of a buzz. For $32, I EXPECT TO BE FEELING IT especially when I'm drinking most of it. I felt nothing. Nada. Cero. Not cool at all. This is probably a 4-star review if it weren't for this final point. The waiters were quite attentive. My friend's fajitas were good. The alcoholic beverage: I'm thinking it was non-alcoholic. We were a family of 10 with a reservation. They sat us at a table for 8 and had to wait for another table to leave to add that section. The venue is authentically decorated- very warm with a bar and wood floors many Mexican touches. Then the the mariachi band came together and serenaded us for about a half hour. It was fun and lively as we waited for our food. We saw other tables come in after us, however they were fed way before us. They weren't much less people than at our table. Finally our fajitas came. I ordered the trio which included shrimp, chicken, and steak. It came with all the traditional side condiments, such as guacamole, grilled onions, pico de gallo, rice, shredded lettuce and sour cream. The others also ordered steak fajitas or tacos. When we were finished, they cleaned up. We asked for a box for our extras more than 3 times. It never came. I had half my meal left over and they took it without asking me and threw it away. I honestly don't think they understand English. They were busy but they had lots of help. I doubt I will ever come back. read more

Genuinely, confused as to the other reviews. This place is authentic to the max (imo). Coming from CA and missing mexican food I always come to casa tequila it makes me feel a little closer to home. I always get the tacos al carbon and lord let me tell you those bean and cheese hit all the time, this is the only arroz mexicano i've ever liked. Service is always great the salsa and chips always hit. I love the seating very spacious restaurant. Really great place 10/10 would recommend. read more

I find this disrespectful to the community; we get poor service, and now the tip is mandatory? We've been served by Mónica several times, and the 18% is already included, yet she still expects us to leave an extra tip. Very dissapointed. On Wednesday my daughter and I went to the one in Wellington as our first time and the service I think could have been better. Our server, Paola, unfortunately was very disregarded with our table, she didn't care, never asked us if we needed anything or if everything was ok, simply ignored us. Not welcoming at all. Frozen margaritas are pretty good although the first time we came they were delicious and the second time we came they were overloaded with mix and beyond tangy. Hopefully they will be delicious on our 3rd visit. For me, consistency is key when making drinks. Frozen margaritas should be a no brainer. The chips and salsa are free and I will say the chips are hit or miss. Some crunchy, some stale. The spicy salsa is really good. We haven't tried any actual entrees yet. I've seen mixed reviews about this places food, service and decor. Every review has a comment from the business owner and not once does he mention that he'll work on the issue at hand. The only thing you get from him is a defensive response. I'm trying to be as neutral yet as truthful as I can with my review so let's see what I get as a response. Make the chips the same way every time and make the margaritas the same way every time is all I'm asking. Lol. read more

I walked in and was greeted with a smile. They sat me and I was quickly greeted with my server and placed my order. I started off with a frozen mango margarita. It was perfect. The food was amazing. I got a fajita trio which came with shrimp chicken and steak. It was enough for three people. I had the best experience there was even mariachis playing music. We immediately called the manager and he promised to give us a credit, but never did. When we moved here in 2019 this place was amazing - great food and service. Now ? Absolutely terrible ! Not Impressed. This place used to be a movie theater which doesn't matter except that the high ceilings and bright lights do nothing to improve the ambiance. You still get a ugly lights/last call vibe. The salsa was a step below your generic jar of supermarket salsa. The guacamole was ok, but nothing to write home about. My wife ordered fajitas without onions and the chicken well done. I ordered grilled chicken with rice and beans supposed to be a chicken breast. That is a piece of chicken, sliced salt thin that you couldn't even tell what it was. My wife's was cooked so much did everything on her plate except the chicken was black. I sat looking at it for a little while, and I couldn't even stand to look at it. Never come back here again never never never it's ugly. It's very dirty inside. I use the bathroom. it was not nice. Service was OK if as long as you speak Spanish! He did not want to speak English to me at all! Don't come here! I like to give FOOD second chances so this time I went back, and decided to seat outside! the outside seating was really nice the weather was perfect! I really enjoy the sound of the trees and feeling the wind it felt nice! The restrooms were clean, inside when I walk in was clean and neat, however I think they should repaint the outdoor seating so it looks more clean, plus is not too rust on the chairs it was a little scratchy to seat on specially if you wear a dress or shorts ...Now our Server Noe, was super nice! He provided suggestions of the menu and drinks he was talking to us about drinks, food in general he was very respectful and friendly! The food , I Order the shrimp ceviche nice portion and the combination of ingredients including mango was really good! The chips and salsa felt fresh and this time I had a red Sangria, my friend order the 3 amigos, the shrimps were wrap with bacon and she didn't like taste of the bacon and it looks burnt for her. The food isn't great and the service is always slow. I don't have huge expectations for Mexican in Florida and this place is mediocre at best. I've tried the chimichangas the chicken is the best out of the options. The shredded beef is ok kinda like a pot roast. The salsa has green onion in it which is different. I think it would be a solid three stars if service was better but it is always slow and they try to nickel and dime for things like on the combos trying to charge as a side of guacamole for $4 instead of the menu saying $2. Or they forget things constantly like tortillas sides etc. I never can get lemon for my water haha the drinks are ok sometimes strong. I've been coming here for years and yes I've also tried all the other Mexican restaurants in Wellington. I got to say Casa Tequila by far has the best food. No it may not have the best decor as other reviews have mentioned , but I don't go to a restaurant to look around, I go to eat. Truly authentic Mexican food. They also have real hot sauce on the tables, try the green sauce it will smack you around a bit. Great drinks as well. Always look forward to coming back. read more

I wish I could give this place a negative 5 star. Seeing the pictures of the food online made me want to order. The food reminded me of Torero's that's located in west palm beach but instead it was just terrible. The rice was mushy pretty much inedible. The steak was odd chewy strands of meat. I order the steak ranchero and I am disgusted with not only the taste but the price of this bad food. My husband order shredded beef enchiladas but got ground beef instead that didn't taste like anything, was severely bland. We couldn't even finish the food, we ate some bites, and just stopped when we started feeling grossed out. This place is a one and done experience that I wish I never had.
