We requested taco bar services for 75 people for a wedding after party on 11/1/24 and omgggg. All of our guests were sooooo happy to have late night munchies after our beautiful wedding ceremony on dia de los muertos. We also got the elotes, agua frescas, & rice + beans. Everything was delicious, I'm pescatarian so I was soooo happy they offered shrimp/camarones because a lot of the taquero catering we reached out to did not offer that. The food was delicious, the service was amazing, the process to book was seamless. They arrived promptly ready to make food before guests began arriving, they had great communication throughout the booking process and on the day of. I wasn't sure if we were going to do a different type of catering because we requested a quote less than 30 days before our event and they were so prompt with everything that I felt confident to proceed with their services. I was part of the planning committee for a work event in which Enrique & Ames catered. We basically had like 1.5 weeks to plan this event and Taco Bout It was very quick to get us a quote. We were aiming to serve 300 people with a mix of tacos & quesadillas. Our contact provided an estimate on vegetarian options and Ames thought it was kind of low for the Silicon Valley area we are in, so she bumped up the percentage knowing the demographic of the clientele. Ames worked with my team that moves canopies and tables to create a flow for the people to get their tacos then move outward to get their toppings so the next person could get theirs because we only had 2 hours for the event to feed the 300. The Taco Bout It team got through the lines pretty quickly. We split it up into 2 lines for meat options, 1 for vegetarian. They came at like 1:30 for our event that started at 4 so they could get their griddles setup and get the meat cooking. The toppings they had available was green and red salsas, onions, cilantro and limes. The Service Experience. Love the name! The service and dedication to their food is the utmost first commendation. Enrique and his Wife were able to prepare a standard taco bar on a day they were booked for an actual catering event. I didn't need full service and was only wanting to pick up the food for my event for a small birthday celebration for my daughter turning two later this month. Love how flexible AND CAPABLE they both are and the advice for helping keep food fresh and in good standing since I was picking up the food in the morning for my afternoon event. I'm impressed, happy and pretty satisfied with the overall experience. I've ordered the standard: 3 meats (standard: chicken, steak, and pork each in its own small tray that can fit in a chafing rack in two pairs side by side) but had a request for one vegetarian and opt to switch from steak to vegetarian for a couple of my guests in which doesn't eat meat, street taco tortillas, two salsas, and three toppings including chopped white onions, cilantros, and limes. Each items were great portions and they've given me more than enough food so I didn't have to worry about not having enough food for my guests. The Food. My husband is extremely picky and critical when it comes to food and not easy to please, but he like the food and didn't really complain. The pork was my favorite surprisingly and I'm normally one to eat chicken on account of poultry being a bit more healthy but it was the flavor and consistency of the pork that did the trick for me. I've had guests coming to me and saying how good the food is! I'd love to try the steak next time we order from Taco 'Bout It. This was only the standard option and would love to see what more advance options with more choices for meats, more toppings (sour cream, pico de gallo, avocado slices, bacon bits) and more additional sides to offer like maybe refried beans, Spanish rice, chips and guacamole but that would be more of a bigger package I'm sure Taco 'Bout It would be more than capable to offer. read more
