The bueno is back. A local source told me TB has had management changes and staff house cleaning since my last visit. If that's t true it was not only necessary but showed in our recent visit. Service was helpful at the counter. Orders arrived quickly. Taste and portion sizes met expectations. The dining room was open. Waited 15 minutes at the WINDOW for a platter that they didn't put the queso in the chip bowl (I don't even like guac so I won't eat it), & we ordered no tomato's on the nachos and they were on it anyway. I got food for the family from the drive threw and when I got home I noticed I was missing acouple items. I returned ready to give them the 3rd degree. I have been having one of the worst weeks of my life. but I wasn't able to due to how professional and nice the manager was that was working on the night shift of 9-20-2024. I told him my problem and that I would like a refund on those 2 items. he gave me a full refund and some cheesecake chimis. Every time I go, my order is wrong. I ordered a hard taco, a bean burrito and a soft taco with meat and cheese and of course they give me two bean burritos and a hard taco. I work very close and don't like to taste of Taco Bell so I choose to go to Bueno, most of the time the staff is nice, but the food is never right. My wife and I had an appointment in Owasso but was early so we went to Taco Buano on 86th st.North to kill time. First thing I noticed was COVID-19 safety was being implemented. Employees wore masks, floor was marked at six feet and every other table was closed. My wife ordered the muchaco platter and I ordered the enchilada platter. We to find a table but couldn't find any. Every table was nasty and had not been cleaned. We actually had to ask for someone to clean a table before we could be seated. My wife's muchaco tortilla was dry and crunchy on one side. The tortillas on my enchiladas was very mushy like raw dough. Our refried beens had a burned taste and the fried rice was not cooked long enough or was in the warmer too long because the were hard and cold The only reason I gave them 2 stars was the employees was friendly, not efficient, but friendly. Both locations in Owasso are the same. The food is great 50% of the time. The other 50, food is either dry, cold, or burnt. Or they are out of a key ingredient like beef, beans, or queso. Or they forgot to give you an item. And 100% of the time, they aren't that busy but will take at least 20 minutes to make a single meal. read more

As someone who lives in the Tulsa area, Taco Bueno is a lunch staple. Ironically, I thought I should share that this Taco Bueno (which is undeniably the WORST Taco Bueno in the Tulsa metro) actually got my order right the first time. For the first time in at LEAST ten visits, I haven't had to go back in and get my order fixed. Yes -- I obviously tolerate this, because I honestly just want Taco Bueno sometimes and this one is by far the closest. However, they're the only Taco Bueno that I've seen mess up orders on average of maybe 90% of the time. It's so impeccably bad, that it could only work in Owasso. If you can imagine a restaurant where a GM or an owner is completely not present, this Bueno is the manifestation of how that would work out. read more

Taco Bueno......Let's be honest....it is now 'Taco Horrible. What happened to both Owasso locations over the last couple years? They both had great food quality, taste, value, and customer service. That was before they were on the Undercover Boss tv show. Now the service is so very slow. The orders are rarely correct. I watched people in line that had already paid but waited for their lunch time meal walk out because they had to go back to work and could not wait for their paid for food any longer. I got my refund and followed them out the door. This was before covid at the Hwy 20 location. My family and I visited the 86th St location drive thru recently, and after almost a minute of dead silence from the intercom the cashier advised that they were out of ground beef. Is that unbelievable, or what?!?! My wife and I just now tried the 86th St drive thru. We weren't sure if they were open since there were NO cars in the drivethru or parking lot. I pulled up to the intercom and asked several times if there was anyone there, and if they were open. No answer at all was given. So we figured they were closed and proceeded to drive around and find somewhere else, only to see a car pulling out of the drive thru. The window cashier said that she was the only one working and that if we wanted to place an order to drive back to the menu. Great customer service-NOT. There was no, I'm sorry or explanation as to why she did not answer the intercom. If Taco Bueno management cares, or wants to further discuss, let me know. Otherwise, I think both Taco Buenos in Owasso will be out of business sooner than later. Make 'Bueno' Good Again! read more

This is the best Bueno in the world. Tulsa Buenos should take notes. Friendly staff who doesn't skimp on the portions.

I've never experienced problems with this location. The staff is friendly, the orders are always right, the restaurant is clean and the food is good. Sometimes the guacamole tastes weird. I love the mexi dips and chips! read more
