First time here while visiting Friends who live in Boerne. Since it was late at Night we ordered for delivery through Favor and got the Nachos and Fajita Quesadilla. The food was nice and warm when we received it and the portion sizes were huge to say the least. We barely put a dent in the Nachos but they were loaded with toppings. Can't wait to try this place again!

The staff this evening was INCREDIBLY pleasant, the employee on the loudspeaker was informative & helpful when we asked questions about the menu and the window attendant who took our payment was happy, joyful, talkative and so very personable! Really pleased with our local Taco Cabana, they have some great employees working!

Seriously!?! I paid $3.18 for 4 pieces of bacon and I got some charred crumbs. This Taco Cabana is the worst anywhere. The line is so long it takes at least 15 minutes to get through the drive through. Avoid if you can, Mary's Tacos or Taco House are way better, but Taco Cabana... UP YOUR GAME ***I went in today, showed the manager my picture and she comped my order! Thank you for making it right! It shows y'all care and are trying to make things better for your customers.***

They are very very small tacos never going here again. One time I think I got cigarette buds in my bean and cheese.

On Fridays and Saturdays there can be a wait, but they often offer a waitlist option, and you can also make a reservation the day before which I highly recommend. For a long time, I struggled with what to order because some of the dishes felt a bit heavy for my taste. They were good but too greasy. And for years I have typically stuck with the chicken quesadilla or a bowl of bean soup. However, I recently tried the mini tacos and that completely changed my experience! The mini tacos come six to an order, and the meat was cooked perfectly: tender, juicy, and full of flavor. They're served on a single corn tortilla (many places use two), so they did fall apart a bit and I had to eat with a fork but honestly, with added lime, onion and cilantro, they were so delicious that I didn't mind. The charro beans are a great accompaniment with really nice flavor and this plate DOES NOT come with rice. I do however like the white style rice that comes with the quesadilla. I know many people rave about the refried beans. While they are tasty, they're a bit too greasy for my personal preference. Service is decent overall. The waitstaff often seems very busy and possibly understaffed, but they are still pleasant and kind. If you're not sure what to order, I definitely recommend giving the mini tacos a try.

Our waiter, Brian was attentive, offered suggestions for dessert, was friendly and gave us a brief history of this El Chaparral in Boerne, TX I ordered the puffy taco plate with carne Guisada and the tacos were great especially the puffy corn tortillas. My daughter ordered the chicken nachos and the little corn tortilla cup with guacamole was so cute! My daughter ordered churo bites with caramel sauce for dessert RECOMMEDATION: I would definitely return to El Chaparral in Boerne, TX for another lunch outing or dinner.

The menu is on par for Boerne, overpriced serving mediocre food. A pint of refried beans $7.50, served very runny, these are the bag of pre- cooked beans from a supplier, they evidently used an improper amount of water for reheating. The tortillas are $10.20 per dozen, which is hard to justify considering most places charge less than half that price for fresh tortillas. We also ordered their Mexican plate $15.99, the taco was served sitting in gravy-soggy shell, cheese enchiladas were okay at best, and again the beans were runny-watery. The chips obviously come from a bag, and many were broken into small pieces. The salsa was actually good, but served in squeeze bottles instead of bowls. This visit confirmed for us that it's worth passing up, despite the convenient location, I'd rather drive an additional 30-minutes farther to San Antonio where you actually get quality food made from scratch in-house at less than half the price with welcoming staff. Unfortunately, Boerne seriously lacks quality restaurant options, and this is just another example.

I was in Boerne this past weekend and decided to go eat there since they close very early. I read that their fideos is the bomb! Which they didn't have! Bummer! The guy behind the counter confused me if he is nice or super short or just no expressions which so ever. He said they have barbacoa and I can order them as tacos. I was by myself sure ok! Then he came back to say that they only sell them per pound. Kindly I asked if I can do half a pound... the only answer I got is: is there anything else I can get for you? He ring the pound up and sent me on my happy way. I wanted to try regardless but hello? A sorry or something similar would have been nice. The barbacoa is absolutely delicious! Finger licking delicious! But for one pound all I got is a tiny bit of cilantro with it and a hot salsa and 6 tortillas. Fine... I asked one of the girls if I can get extra cilantro I couldn't really understand her if they charge extra for it. Regardless she went and got it for me. I kind of felt uncomfortable... I saw in the fridge they have green salsa I wanted to try that too. They got it for me with a warning that it is more spicy than the red one I have... no lime... no fixings... maybe I am used to the shops on the south side of San Antonio. I felt confused but still I really enjoyed this barbacoa. Next time I am going to be firm at the counter of what I want with it... if they charge me for it... fine! This is how good it is The 3 stars is for that weird feeling I got not the actual food. I hope it will be a better experience next time because for sure I am coming back!
