    Tacos Al Pastor

Ordered the Pastor and the carnitas street tacos. Four to an order and they were so stuffed with meat you could have made two tacos per. The best Al Pastor I've had since I went to Tacos Del Rey in San Diego. If you know this place you that's a high bar. Even the salsa with chips was authentic. Not just crushed tomatoes and some dried oregano. It had a nice little heat and you could taste the cumino

Cute little spot on the Main Street. Parking is in the back and was pretty packed since it shares with other businesses. There were only a few tables that were full but it was SO noisy for some reason. It definitely made us speed up on eating. The staff was friendly and the food was good but not hot. We weren't about to complain though due to the noise level. I'd try again but with some earplugs in lol.

*Ordered from DoorDash* Loved that my food arrived piping hot! You can tell the food is made to order because my tacos were too hot to even hold! I couldn't decide between beef or Al Pastor so I like that they had a combination for just $1 more. However for 4 street tacos, over $14 is kinda pricey. Maybe I'm just used to the $2 street tacos I used to get. I like that they include both salsas in your to go order. You HAVE to get the onion & cilantro! They add so much flavor to the meal, and you can tell they were cut fresh this morning. The only bad thing was my limes were both dry, so I could barely squeeze any juice out for my tacos. Also ordered a $5 flan for dessert (hand for size reference). It was a pleasant treat to end the meal, not too sweet either. Minus one star for the hefty street tacos price and the dry limes.

Boerne Taco House: cute little restaurant on Main Street. Service was good, only a few people since lunch was over. I had the Birria tacos which came with onions and cilantro and consomme. Tacos were huge and stuffed, delicious. I had 2 but could only eat 1. I ate the other one later. Chips and salsa included, nice flavor and chips were crunchy. This was a lunch with my coworker, we killed the chips and asked for more. Also queso was a good flavor and complemented the meal. Cost was 42.00 for two. There is a small parking lot but shared between multiple restaurants. I am sure it's hard to park when crowded. I had no issues though.

I LOVE this place! It is consistently delicious. My go to is the Beef Street Tacos, always perfect! Birria taco plate, amazing! Pirata Plate, shown in one of my pics, flawless. Today I decided to get the puffy taco plate. OMG! The chicken and beef both were very flavorful and juicy. The salad topping was fresh! The lime was an excellent flavor add! The puffy taco shell itself was the best I have ever had with its lite and non-greasy crispness and just the right amount of crunch, didn't even break apart. I can honestly attest that this restaurant is IMMACULATE!. Staff is always on point!

Looking for a tasty treat in Downtown Boerne Texas? I highly recommend Boerne Taco House! The food is divine and the service is outstanding. I took the picture after I started eating because once I tasted the Pollo Poblano I instantly fell in love with this place and had to share it with everyone. The rice and beans were delicious and the guacamole was top notch! The ambiance is awesome as well.

Delicious! Went for my first time. I had the pirata plate and they were so hefty I had to take one home! The meat is so flavorful and the drinks are yummy! The menu doesn't have a very big selection but everything they do have is gourmet. Absolutely tasty:)

Cocktails menu! Try that "Green Tea Shot"!

I can't rave enough about this place and can't wait to go back! The building itself is cute withe a fresh clean aesthetic inside! The staff are so friendly and have excellent drinks recommendations! I suggest trying the "Green Tea Shot" if it's still on the menu! Now the food.. the food was fantastic! We tried several things and all of it was so good we struggled to decide on a favorite! We had Chips & Salsa, Fajitas, Street Tacos (one of each meat), Enchilada Verdes, and the House Burrito! I would recommend all of these dishes. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Only ordered 2 drinks-41 minutes to receive, bartender says oh my bad -owner delivered several drinks to others that came in behind me -and acted like he didn't understand

Puffy taco special for the win! Great guac and fast service albeit counter ordering. The menu is super interesting and the food spot on and full of flavor and freshness. I can't wait to come back.

Fantastic! I got the keto bowl with chicken. Service: completely friendly but hey, it's Texas, not Topeka my dudes! Ambiance: loud but it's expected since it's small.

I came back to Boerne Taco House, eager to give them a second chance! I heard multiple great reviews at work, all of which said the enchiladas are the thing to get. Unfortunately, I do not agree. I was very excited to try these red enchiladas, especially when I saw the red sauce described as a mole sauce. I am not the best judge of quality Mexican food, but this was no mole sauce. It did not have any spice to it, no hint of cinnamon or chocolate, and clearly lacks the color. As for the rest of the enchilada, it was filled with queso fresca. The inside was straight cheese. It was not melted, toasted or warm. It was apparent that they had simply rolled up shredded cheese in a tortilla and then topped it with sauce. I can confidently say, that I will not be coming back at this point. I will give them more credit for their rice this time. It, too, was lacking the traditional flavor of a Mexican rice, but it did not taste like it had sat in a plastic container for a few too many days this time. I also saw a huge improvement in the chips as they were nice and crisp this time. Overall, the service was slow. There was one group ahead of me without food and it took a little over 20 minutes for my enchiladas. This place has a lot of potential and I've heard lots of great things about it, but it is not the restaurant to go to if you are looking for authentic Mexican or tex-mex cuisine.

    Order here!

Wow! Even though I don't eat meat, there were many good choices on the menu, and I settled on the Pirata Plate--two shrimp tacos with beans and rice. The Shrimp tacos were very nice size and filled with shrimp and so much yummy melty stretchy Oaxaca cheese. All this yummy goodness was wrapped in the most delicious corn tortilla I think I've ever had. They tasted so much like corn I could have eaten a dozen! Honestly, these tacos are amazing! I did eat some of the rice and beans, but there was so much food I couldn't finish it all (of course, I finished the tacos, but left some beans and rice). So good! The restaurant is airy and bright with high ceilings and nice decore. Order at the counter and your food is delivered to your table. I will definitely eat here again, and if you like tacos, you should, too!

On Fridays and Saturdays there can be a wait, but they often offer a waitlist option, and you can also make a reservation the day before which I highly recommend. For a long time, I struggled with what to order because some of the dishes felt a bit heavy for my taste. They were good but too greasy. And for years I have typically stuck with the chicken quesadilla or a bowl of bean soup. However, I recently tried the mini tacos and that completely changed my experience! The mini tacos come six to an order, and the meat was cooked perfectly: tender, juicy, and full of flavor. They're served on a single corn tortilla (many places use two), so they did fall apart a bit and I had to eat with a fork but honestly, with added lime, onion and cilantro, they were so delicious that I didn't mind. The charro beans are a great accompaniment with really nice flavor and this plate DOES NOT come with rice. I do however like the white style rice that comes with the quesadilla. I know many people rave about the refried beans. While they are tasty, they're a bit too greasy for my personal preference. Service is decent overall. The waitstaff often seems very busy and possibly understaffed, but they are still pleasant and kind. If you're not sure what to order, I definitely recommend giving the mini tacos a try.

The menu is on par for Boerne, overpriced serving mediocre food. A pint of refried beans $7.50, served very runny, these are the bag of pre- cooked beans from a supplier, they evidently used an improper amount of water for reheating. The tortillas are $10.20 per dozen, which is hard to justify considering most places charge less than half that price for fresh tortillas. We also ordered their Mexican plate $15.99, the taco was served sitting in gravy-soggy shell, cheese enchiladas were okay at best, and again the beans were runny-watery. The chips obviously come from a bag, and many were broken into small pieces. The salsa was actually good, but served in squeeze bottles instead of bowls. This visit confirmed for us that it's worth passing up, despite the convenient location, I'd rather drive an additional 30-minutes farther to San Antonio where you actually get quality food made from scratch in-house at less than half the price with welcoming staff. Unfortunately, Boerne seriously lacks quality restaurant options, and this is just another example.

Having been raised with a healthy dose of it throughout my life, it is my favorite comfort food. They also have an excellent selection of seafood dishes, which makes it a great choice for Fridays, especially during Lent. We were seated promptly and our waitress brought us our drinks and chips almost immediately. She was really friendly. The chips and salsa were tasty - the salsa was fresh and not too hot. The salsa is made in-house, so sometimes it's hotter than others. Today it was on the mild side. They had a special Valentine's Day menu. Since this was lunch, we chose from the regular menu. I had the crispy beef taco plate and my husband had enchiladas. No complaints there! The taco shells were crispy and the ground beef was steamy hot and properly seasoned. The rice and beans were quite good, the rice being above average. Their guacamole has no surprises, like funky ingredients or a bunch of onions in it. I like my guacamole simply seasoned, if at all. Just basic mashed avocado, please, thank you very much. That's exactly what I got. I decided to splurge and have a cocktail, so I ordered a black Russian. It took a little while. The waitress apologized and said the bartender didn't know what that was and had to look it up. Because it was the afternoon and we weren't in a rush, I didn't mind. I was a little surprised he didn't know what a black Russian is, but peeps have to learn sometime. The more experienced bartenders usually get the evening shift, I would imagine. In any event, it was made to perfection. My husband liked his meal. He works in inner city SA, and prefers the hole in the wall places. He does like El Rio, though; he's the one who introduced me to it years ago. In short, if you are looking for standard Tex Mex food in a comfortable environment then this is certainly good choice. It's never been noisy or overcrowded when we've been here for lunch.
