Amazing Barbacoa! Awesome atmosphere. Super friendly and welcoming, like going to grab a bite at a friends house.

First time at La Cabana and the brunch did not disappoint! The food: we had the Super Breakfast…read moreplate and Chiaquilles plate. Both were excellent and we would order the same again. The bacon in the Super was served crispy (my favorite) but if you like some chew, request it. Ordered eggs over medium and they came out perfectly. We had a mimosa and frozen margarita. They were both good for a local small town restaurant. The service: EXCELLENT!! Very pleasant and attentive wait staff who genuinely cared that we were having a good experience. The Ambiance: it was a local non-assuming family restaurant. It was welcoming and familiar. It was like having a home cooked meal. We just moved to the area and happy to have this lovely place to visit and enjoy a good meal.

This is an adorable restaurant near the campground we were staying at. Husband read reviews and…read moredecided we should check it out. I am pretty picky regarding Mexican food, but was tempted. The prices are great. We both ordered the Super Mexican Plate, as we wanted to get a sampling of items. We were both very happy with our meals. The taco was fresh and tasty... The meat was well seasoned, and not greasy. The enchiladas were very good, they give you the option to have them topped with onions. The taquito was OK, the chicken inside was pretty flavorless, but didn't taste bad. I had the Charro beans, which were excellent. Hubby had the refried beans and he said they were very good. The guacamole and sour cream were both fresh. The staff was very friendly and service was great. We are here for another couple of weeks, and definitely plan on returning.

Food was incredible. All of it--from the flameado, crab taquitos, shrimp tacos. Unfortunately I ate…read moretoo much before I was able to try the lobster quesadillas, but I'm sure they're delicious as well. Service was ok/not bad, but I'm not going to say it outshined the food. Ambiance--Restaurant itself seemed fairly clean. I know it's a fairly new building. But unless it's nasty inside, it's usually low on the totem pole of what I'm concerned about. Only negative I can say is that it's a good commute from my home.

I dined in on two different occasions in the same week. Both around the same time of 7PM…read more The first visit, I was sat at a high top near the bar. My server was very sweet and attentive. She made sure that my drink was filled and that I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal. That evening, I tried the Huerfanitos and Ceviche Blanco Snapper (DELICIOUS, will order again!!) I was very satisfied with my service that I decided to return the following evening... Now this evening, I believe there was a soccer game on. We were quoted 50 minutes to sit inside or immediate seating outside. Upon sitting, we were quickly greeted and brought waters. After that, we experienced such slow service. I understand that it was busy, but I hardly saw my server. We had to wait about 20-30 minutes to place a drink order (we got the frozen margaritas, very tasty and strong.) and we also placed our food order at the same time. We had to ask another server to help us a couple times as our server had not checked on us... Very dissatisfied with the service this last time, but I understood that the server had tables all over the restaurant and then later told us that they had call outs and were short staffed... Overall--I enjoy the food, margaritas, and the vibe of the restaurant. I'd like to return to try more entrees and hopefully the service will be just as good as my first time here!
