I almost never would rate a franchise fast food restaurant publicly, mostly due to the fact I try to avoid them. However if you live in San Antonio area, you can't help but appreciate Taco Cabana for something. For me the Cabana salad bowl is my weakness, especially with how few places offer black beans on the menu. All that being said most TC restaurants are pretty good and that's what you expect. I am writing this review mostly based on service and specifically the Manager of this location whom I encountered twice while doing bulk orders for my office. Juan, is a stud at customer service and runs a great restaurant. This is how all TC stores should operate. read more

Very messy. No lids for 20oz cups. Salsa bar is not taken care of and large lids all over counter top. No clean tables. Need to have someone clean tables after people get up and wipe down. Chips are different and taste store bought. Some chips seem stale. read more

I am sitting here waiting forever. I have kids and they got their kids meal wrong after the guy taking our order was distracted with another order that was wrong. I told them of the error and then we waited about 10 minutes. Other people came in and got their food. Still nothing. Told them again and then still waited another 10 minutes or so. Finally got some damn kids quesadillas with no meat. Sheesh. Prepare to spend forever here. Thankfully my 4 year old boy and 6 year old girl were very patient. read more

WORSE TACO CABANA ON EARTH! I was driving a moving van & couldn't drive up to the "drive thru" option so I parked & walked in HOWEVER THE DOORS WERE LOCKED even though they were already open. I found a side door & managed to walk in. When waiting for the employee to get my order, I witnessed both ladies that was working argue who was going to assist me. The "shift leader" told the employee, it's your turn & walked away. It took 8 minutes to finally give my order. The actual food order took 38 minutes & the reward for waiting was a little piece of paper that was hand written "SORRY, PLEASE COME BACK FOR FREE CHIPS & SALSA" - ok?!?!? Went in. Ordered. 45 entire minutes later!!!! I get my food. I am not making this up. When complained, they offered me a free soda, which I don't drink. I'm not much to write a review about anyone but this had to be my first considering how the outcome was I visited this location late in the evening order a meal although my meal was fine my wife's order was wrong she was very upset so that prompt me to call the restaurant Christopher the manager on duty did offer to replace the order but although we live completely on the other side of town from this only location. I wasn't going back, the manager insisted that he would satisfy my order that he offered to replace total order, kudos to Christopher for knowing exactly what to do to keep customer happy, great job read more

I don't know why this location has such a low score. Due to food sensitivities I go here often to get a side of black beans and rice when I don't feel like cooking. They are always fast and I have never had an order be incorrect. Typical, good Taco Cabana food. read more

Absolutely horrible. We sat in the drive through for 45 minutes waiting for our food. There was literally one car in front of us. This company is a shell of its former self and should be shut down by the health department. This place is filthy and the people working here are just sad. You can just tell they aren't happy working for this company. I don't know what happened...TC used to be one of my favorites back in the early 90's. Never again. I've boycotted every location. The chicken quesadillas are OK , no flavor and kind of cold -there was little to no wait because I called my order ahead of time to beat the lunch crowd . Rice is mushy and unseasoned , flauntas are soggy not crispy and they didn't give me my queso . Won't be returning but the customer service was polite though . read more

Good food and great prices, the customer service is great as well. I love the Grilled Papusa especially, it's always cooked just right and never too hard or burned like I've had elsewhere. They also serve excellent breakfast tacos. For fast food Mexican food this place is as good as it gets, there is no need to go to a Taco Bell when you have a Taco Cabana in your neighborhood, also want to note that I never have to wait when I go here, they get my food out very quickly and it's always piping hot. read more

This is my first review on Yelp. I love their food, but service at this location is the pits. The last straw was last night, we did the drive through, and they completely screwed the order up, again. The time before that, guess what? Order was screwed up as well. We refuse to go in because our last 3 visits there, our orders took anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Walked in and went straight to the restroom....walked in as an employee was coming out from "cleaning" it. Apparently they only mopped the floor by the urinal, because the stall toilet had crap smeared all over it. TL;DR - Check your drive thru order thoroughly before leaving. I've frequented the drive-thru of this location twice within the last week. I placed the same order each time. On the first visit they didn't give me tortillas with my meal, which sucks, because their tortillas are delicious. During the last and most recent visit (June 24, 2016), the drive-thru was abysmal. I ordered unsweetened iced tea, but received sweet tea. Luckily, I checked it immediately and told the girl at the window. She seemed put out that I wanted a new glass of tea and I had to ask for another straw. Then when my order was handed out, half of it was missing. I had two kid's quesadilla meals, one with chips & queso, and one with rice & beans. I received two cheese quesadillas. The girl (same girl as the iced tea incident) told me that everything was in the bag. I told her that the chips/queso and rice/beans were missing. She again said that they were in the bag. I had to hand the bag of two quesadillas back to her to prove that I didn't receive half of my order. The drive thru staff here BLOWS. My kids love Taco Cabana, so I will probably stop here again. But I will be checking my order before I leave the drive thru. read more

Kids that don't care about anything working there. Got my order wrong and did nothing about it/including not refunding me on food not served. Half the staff was out back playing kissy kissy with there high school girlfriend/boyfriend. Complete crap. My first review in a year of being on here goes to a fast food chain. Awful experience! Went through the drive thru and got a bean and cheese taco combo with a Coke. The chips and queso were fine but the tacos were poorly wrapped and when I opened the tacos too see inside, it was extremely messy. Beans were covering all of the foil and the tortilla was not even wrapped completely around the beans and cheese, so it was practically all falling apart when I opened them. It was disgusting. AND the beans were cold. So I went inside, and asked for new tacos and they were extremely rude about it. As soon as I asked one of the employees, she rolled her eyes at me and walked to the back to make new ones. She started talking to another employee and kept rolling her eyes and the other employee also looked at me and began rolling her eyes so I knew they were talking about me.
