Food is really good and priced well for what you get. I was impressed with the large serving sides of rice and beans. The service is really really slow, but the staff is very friendly. One star deduction for the slow service and being out of salsa and a two star deduction because the lady making the tortillas dropped one on the floor, picked it up, and then put it back on the tortilla making machine. read more

Hadn't been to Taco Casa in quite a while. I remembered them using high quality products for a fast food chain with a drive thru but I couldn't remember much about their menu. They really do use good quality items just for the packaging of their food. I don't believe I've seen sturdier straws anywhere, their cups are very thick plastic and their lids fit perfectly. This may sound silly but it's not silly when your drink top pops off your large drink and gets your car sticky- looking at you Schlotzsky's! Besides, if a company is willing to put money in behind the scenes it usually bodes well for the rest of the visit. Today we decided to go inside. It was my first time inside this location and they had really nice flooring, tasteful pictures decorating the walls, a variety of clean tables and booths and... is that mood lighting in a fast food restaurant? Why, yes it is. Okay, not what I was expecting but in a pleasant way. When we got to the counter there was a woman and child placing their order which was great, it gave me a chance to peruse the menu and change my mind 4 times. There was a gentleman that approached the counter looking for a refill and he waited a very long time. The woman who was working the front counter was very friendly and a good worker as well as a gentleman in the back who appeared to be working drive thru. Both of them were hustling, helping customers and cleaning. However, there were five other people in the kitchen who seemed to be working slowly and no one approached to help at the counter. Even when someone brought the food for the people in front of us, they didn't even look at the gentleman waiting on the refill. This was awkward, and maybe not unexpected in fast food, but bothersome. My husband is a big fan of these guys because he has a big appetite and the portions are large here. We apparently forgot that though, a lot of food was wasted here today. I got a medium sweet tea and should have gotten a small, their sizes run very large. I also got a taco, chilada and the Casa Delights. My husband got a large root beer (he did end up getting a refill at the counter because they use a lot of ice), a combination burrito and the regular nachos (they have another kind with meat). The total was $16.70 which was a great deal for the food but in reality we could have saved $5 and still been full with less wasted food. I'll have to keep that in mind for next time. The taco is only meat, cheese and lettuce but it was very tasty for a fast food taco. The shell was crisp and the meat was much better quality than I'm used to from a chain. They are super generous with the shredded cheese as you can see in my photo, you can't even see the chilada. This was a very good value as the tortilla was really good quality, there was a generous portion of meat and a ton of cheese. I couldn't finish it. By the way, I mentioned earlier the quality of their products- I ate that chilada with the fanciest plastic knife and fork I have ever used. A note you may want to consider, the first couple of bites tasted typical fast food Mexican and it's the red sauce that comes on the Chilada. It's not bad but I noticed bites that didn't have the sauce tasted more authentic so maybe I'll get no sauce next time. My husband has a big appetite and only finished 3/4 of his burrito, it was very, very large and again they don't skimp on the meat. The nachos were okay but we could have done without them. We were using them as a side to share but it was too big so it was unnecessary. The Casa Delights were sweet as they should be but more trouble than I was willing to deal with on this particular visit. They would definitely hit the spot for a sweet craving, and for only 99 cents, but I got sugar everywhere- no really, everywhere. On a personal note it makes me sad that they don't have rice! I love rice with most meals and always get it with Mexican food. So the breakdown is that the service was pretty typical of a fast food chain with a couple of hard workers who are really friendly and a bunch of people there to get a paycheck, atmosphere and layout exceeded my expectations, the food exceeded expectations of a fast food restaurant, and the bank was not broken by this visit. They weren't busy but there was a steady stream of people in and out of there and some appeared to be regulars so they have some fans. I think 4 stars for fast food is pretty damn good. If they got a couple of shift leaders in there who really cared to keep the entire team motivated I bet I would have been fooled into thinking I was in a sit down restaurant. Definitely satisfied and will rope this into the rotation more often. read more

Best prepared food I've ever had from a Taco Casa, and it was at 9 PM! The staff was friendly and helpful, chips and shells were not stale. Perfect amount of cheese used. I only deducted one star because they were a little slow, but it was well with the wait. read more

Was then ignored again while they completed more drive through orders. Then, to no surprise, the gentleman who ordered 12 tacos and 5 burritos after me, got his order!!! This the 2nd Taco Casa I've been to recently, that I have not been pleased with. The combo burrito is $3.09 and it's barely anything to eat. It's been a while since I've had the burrito, but I don't remember it being so skimpy. The tea was too sweet and all Ice. When I asked politely for half ice and to top it off with unsweetened tea, the worker dumped all of the ice and refilled the entire cup with unsweet tea! There's wasn't a thank you! Sorry about that! Nothing!! It's confirmed, as much as I love their tacos, I won't be back! Customer service is HUGE for me! And that's not something you will get here! You will get a blank stare!!! This is my most favorite fast food Tex-Mex. I would eat here every week if it was closer to me. If you love cheese you will love this place. The burritos are huge. Don't be looking for chicken here though they only serve ground meat. Getting the sweet tea is a must. This place is so good you get withdrawals. The food is much, much better than Taco Bell or Taco Bueno. For Fast Food Mexican style, this place ROCKS! Love the Chilada, Super Burrito, Tosados, Refried Beans, and Tacos! I always have to get a Chili Burger with Cheese just to eat on the way home! On Tuesdays, Tacos are only .69 cents. WOW! Lots of meat and cheese on everything. I LOVE Taco Casa! Taco Casa is by far the *BEST* Mexican fast food restaurant. This location is clean, has friendly staff, and very fresh food. You can't beat their Taco Tuesday and Frijole Friday specials! One of my favorite things about TC -- CHEESE. The competition serves its tacos and other items with maybe 5 slivers of shredded cheese, but TC fills everything up with cheese. I order "extra cheese" everywhere else but have never needed to here. A secret I've learned -- say you want light lettuce to get even more cheese! I'm surprised it's never busier than I see it, but it looks like most people use the drive-through. read more

I went to your Taco Casa location at 1125 South Loop 288 in Denton Texas. I have been to this location several times and I always find the service extremely slow as do others on this site. So slow, if I drive up & there are cars in the drive thru line, I drive away. Note: your second drive thru lane has not been open in months. Yesterday I pulled up, made my order of ten tacos. There was one vehicle in front of me at the pick up window. I waited for over five minutes for the person in front of me to get their order & drive off. The clerk didn't say a word & took my debit card & had it for at least two minutes. He then returned my card & I waited. Finally he handed me a sack & darted away from the window not saying thank you or anything. All that was in there was one burrito. I sit & waited & finally he returned to the order pick up window. I told him (black male) that my order was wrong. He didn't say a word, no apology, nothing. He returned and handed me another sack & darted away again. In the sack was two tacos. I looked at my receipt & I saw he only charged me for two tacos. I drove away. I called the restaurant to speak to the manager & whoever picked up the phone didn't say a word. All I could hear was noise in the background & they finally hung up. I tried to locate another phone number for a corporate office to no avail. I ask, what has happened to Taco Casa in the last couple of years? The service has gone down & continues to decline. Taco Casa is no bargain place to eat & requires premium prices for what you get. Horrible drive thru service. Long waits, lack of friendliness and politeness. I seen the cashier use the same nasty gloved hands to take flour tortillas out of the plastic and place them in the heated oven just seconds after taking money and debit cards transactions at the window and did not once her hands or change gloves. When she gave me my order I was greeted with: "uhhh.... here you go." No sorry for you 20 minute wait, no thank you, or no have a nice day?????? And the food tasted like crap!! read more

Came in and ordered on 12/19/21 at about 7:05. Put my order name down as Eddie. I could tell the place was extremely short-staffed and in the weeds. On top of that, they were dealing with an extremely difficult "Karen" with a complicated order. They were trying their best to accommodate but this customer was being very difficult. I could tell the staff were overworked and at their wit's end. The order took a little bit longer than what would be normal but I was completely understanding and unphased. I think they recognized how much I understood what they were going through and threw in an extra chilada. I appreciated how hard these folks were working. the service industry is in rough shape these days... labor supply is low and demand for services is high which is not good for business. Be extra cool with your service industry workers. They are often doing work that is underappreciated by folks who feel entitled and have never walked in their shoes. read more

I will never come back to this taco casa location. I always get the taco salad and every taco casa I've been to gives me 1 extra salsa due to the salad being so big. They wanted to charge me .41 cents for it. You spend 10$ for lunch and they can't even give me enough salsa to eat my salad. The manager (little Mexican guy) was I insistent on making .41 cents. Usually the service and food is great!! But there is one person who works the drive through at nights like tonight, and she is rude and very unfriendly... I understand not everybody wants to work here... but if you do, take some damn pride in your work and show some customer service please. Food is okay at best, the problem is the staff does not wear gloves on uncooked food. There is probably 10-15 sets of hands a day in the cheese, lettuce etc...maybe they washed their hands, i don't like those odds. I will not go back unless they start using gloves. read more
