Been a while since I've written a review that is not 4 or 5 stars. I am saddened that I have to for this establishment. I'd specifically give it 2.8/5 (so almost 3 stars if you want to round up). Ok so here we go: Food/taste: 3.7/5 pretty solid, not mind-blowing. I'm from east LV, so perhaps I'm biased. The mushroom and shrimp tacos were very good. However, I'd have to skip on that carne asada. Those were basically the largest cut of cubed meat I've bit into. Hmmm. Quesabirria tacos were ok, but the consomé was ridiculously salty. I appreciated the complimentary chips with salsa and cup of black beans that came with the meal (they only bring it with the first round). Drinks: 3/5; we got sidetracked with "well drinks". Didn't realize Jack Daniel's was considered a "higher" shelf brand, but ok. That was on us. $48 for 4 jack and cokes. Yikes. Aka $12 For less than 8 oz. Downtown drinking has totally evolved, sadly. House Margarita was $6, pretty solid 4/5. Small portion. AYCE: 1/5 it's really not all you can eat because for starters, there's only a one hour time limit. You know they're doing their best to keep things limited. What I'm most annoyed about was that the cashier apparently didn't send out our second order by mistake (which she apologized for), but then it wasted so much of our "one hour" time limit. No wonder why we were waiting for like 30 min for them. I'd hate to think it was somewhat on purpose. But I won't argue with staff over tacos. It wasn't worth it. We all got 6 tacos each total. I didn't reopen my tab. Lastly, it's not 4 taco at a time but 3 tacos. The cashier said it was a typo, no big deal, but they can still update their website. As a Vegas local, I've seen DTLV evolve. Seen what bars/restaurants have come and gone - but always come back to those that have stayed and been there forever. I know this place isn't that old. But one way to keep a business going on Fremont, is to keep their locals happy. Influencers go too far in hyping a place up more than it is for the free meal. Worst tacos I've had , not worth coming here. You have to walk up to order every time. My partner and I went to try the all-you-can-eat tacos, which are advertised as $20 per person. When the cashier charged $21.98, we were confused and asked if that price was per person since we were both eating. He adjusted something on the tablet and showed $21.98 again, so we confirmed once more and he said yes. We ordered the first 4 tacos they weren't good. When my partner went up to place a second order, the cashier suddenly said the deal was per person and that both of us couldn't eat. My partner told them that was fine and to charge whatever was missed. The cashier said it was okay and told him to order 3 tacos, so we did. Still hungry, I went up to place one last order for 3 more tacos. They let me order, but when the food came out, another employee loudly said in front of everyone, "If she wants to eat, she has to pay," as if we hadn't been willing to pay from the start. We had asked multiple times about the pricing and even offered to pay when the mistake was brought up, so the situation felt unprofessional and poorly handled. We left our 3rd round of food because how they handled this was just tragic. The food is not like advertised on socials. This is like prison tacos. It will fill you up but you will never crave it again. Just go to Evel Pie across the street and enjoy some good pizza instead of this tragedy. read more

I heard about Taco Escobar on Instagram and finally stopped by for the first time. I sat at the bar since I prefer actual service than ordering through a tablet. The vibe was great and the music added a nice energy, but there's definitely some room for improvement. The biggest disappointment was that the menu still isn't updated to show the all‑you‑can‑eat taco deal and half off tequila from 3-6pm. The only thing posted is a sign up front for the 2 tacos & beer for $20, which feels a little confusing. My drink was very good, although he forgot to make it with a tajin rim instead like i asked. (could have easily changed the cup, whatever) We also had to ask for extra limes since they only give one tiny lime wedge for three tacos. But the tacos, beans, and chips were really good! Should have come here months ago. I live locally and finally went into Escobar and I regret not going in there when they first opened. It's a hidden gem with amazing food. I actually had each one of the tacos cause the previous one kept blowing my mind so I had them all. Loved the ambience and enjoyed the service of the staff which was very attentive to my needs well not being overbearing and making me feel rushed to hurry through my meal. Definitely bring a date next time cause it's the kind of place you could actually have a conversation and get to know someone over some good food. I walked into Tacos Escobar and was completely shocked by the treatment I received. The bartender grossly yelled at me to "close the door" even though it was already open. I was just coming in to grab something to eat -- I was hungry and had no idea what was going on but her tone and attitude were unbelievably rude. She literally harassed me in front of everyone, and people even stopped to stare because it was so uncalled for. I've never experienced anything like that in my life. We had this super fresh Horchata and a perfectly cold Corona. Started with chips and salsa - homemade chips, perfectly seasoned, with two salsas (mild and medium). For tacos, we went for al pastor, chicken, fish, shrimp, and mushroom with nopales. These aren't your average tacos; they're seriously delicious, all made with homemade tortillas, and came with pickled carrots and peppers. We even asked for a spicier salsa, and they brought it! Happy hour tacos were phenomenal! Great deal and I tried a horchata cocktail that was incredible. However my friend and I had to ask to be served at the bar after the male bartender served four guests before us and completely ignored us and didn't welcome us in or even make us feel welcome at all. we waited about seven minutes til my friend had to butt in and say "HEY we were here before all these people and ready to order." It seemed like people who work in the industry or that actual restaurant were served before us and they came in after my friend and I. Had the worst experience here Monday at 3:10pm. Walked in to try and experience their all u can eat tacos. Maybe ten people there max. Stood there for a few minutes bartender back to the establishment. Never turned around so we moved to an empty register. Stood there another two minutes. Waitress walks by out and in and out and again (passing us 4 times) no contact not a word never looked up. Bartender is making a drink now never looks to assist and reeks with attitude. Another two minutes and my friend ask bartender. "Do we order in the back or sit down" bartender snaps at him "I'm the only one here you're gonna have to wait" and not in any pleasant tone. Whoa. Either this guy was having the worst day off his life or just completely hates his job. Starts with more verbal jabs at we Commented on this guys attitude and lack of customer service. He then starts yelling at us "tells us to f ourselves " unbelievable!! Hopefully the owner of this establishment gets better help cause whoever that guy was just lost six customers with the other friends we were going to meet there. Please advise never go to this place at 300 on mondays. If that this dudes shift. Avoid like the plague. I never write bad reviews but this guy deserves to be dismissed from any customer service job in the future. read more
