My first visit to Key West and was told to try this place out. I was happy with my order and the price was a little high, but to find authentic Mexican food in the Keys is pretty astounding. I ordered Birria tacos and as much as I want to love it I have yet to find one where the meat doesn't taste tough and dry (maybe it's not for me). This is as close to authentic Mexican street food as their is I had Birria with all the fixings not radish I dont like those and man was it worth the trip. The Birria sauce was rich and flavorful, and the actual taco part was savory and tasty. Also the young lady who took our order was friendly , and provided excellent Costomer service. We had breakfast here. The steak, egg, and cheese sandwich on cuban bread and then pressed like a cuban sandwich! Wow that was on the the best breakfasts we had the entire trip. It's easy to miss this food truck as it is on the corner of a random lot. You have to walk through a fence to reach here. They had some benches to sit on and a picnic table. We went here a couple of times. You can't beat 4 ground beef tacos mexican style with french fries extra crispy for $10. If you get crispy corn tortillas, they deep fry them to order and then fill them with ground beef, onions and cilantro. You get sides of red and green sauce that are both tasty. They are really good if you use both and a squeeze of lime. You see lots of folks ordering take out from here and plenty more eating in the parking lot by the food truck. The green sauce was more mild, the orange sauce was fan freaking tastic. The other item included 2 pork chops which was more than enough for one person. Very bland food. Ordered a taco salad in the taco bowl, chose chicken as the meat. Received lettuce, 2 small pieces of tomato, 4 little tortilla strips and the most bland chicken I have ever tasted in my life - wait, there really was no taste... It was awful.
