We got one order of the Cayo fish tacos to share. Each order comes with two tacos. We chose a bench in the shade on the patio where some chickens were wandering around picking up bits of food dropped by the patrons. It was fun to watch them run in a group when one spotted something had fallen. Our tacos were ready quickly and after the first bite we immediately regretted not getting a table because they are a bit messy with all the delicious toppings. Oh well! I persevered and used a napkin to soak up the juice and the chickens took care of of the rest. I will never miss an opportunity to visit Garbo's when in Key West.

I'm typically averse to spicy food, but for this place, it was completely worth it. I ordered the island salad with Jamaican jerk chicken added, while others in our group had the hot tuna tacos and mahi tacos. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and had just the right touch of spice.
