I really enjoyed the steak tacos, the chicken was a little dry for me but honestly it's a taco so I loved it anyway. I would recommend grabbing some grub from here if you are in the Harbor East area, and it was great finding out this spot was where it was. Taco Fiesta is a casual Mexican place with essential Mexican offerings and a full bar. The food is made for you and brought to your table after you order at the register. I generally like the quesadillas but the salads are okay too. I think it's a good choice for a casual meal and with the movie theater less than a block away, it's definitely convenient. I was so excited about this place but I was left slightly underwhelmed. I should have known that it wasn't authentic Mexican but for some reason I was still hoping. I think they had a pretty good selection here, from tacos to quesadillas they had a lot of good items. Any place named Taco Fiesta on the East Coast must be tried. So here we go...I love that this place is in a good area and not directly in Fells Point. Don't get me wrong...I love Fells but not all the time. This place gets points for having a full bar, vibrant interior, and cool employees. The food isn't the absolutely greatest Mexican, but you know...Mexico is about 2300 miles away so beggars can't be choosers. Taco Fiesta is a joke. The tacos are pathetic and over priced at $3. The staff is boring and inattentive. The salsa bar is pretty good but not labeled so you have no idea what you are getting or what is hot or not. I saw some advertisement for some sort of happy hour buffet on Fridays 5-7. But if it's anything like their food ... might as well go elsewhere. If you like bland Tex Mex, this is the place for you! To be fair, most people I see in here are getting chips and Corona or a Margarita, and if that's what you're looking for then this is probably a good spot for you. Just don't plan on getting Mexican food here, because that's not what you'll find. While I didn't have high hopes for my burrito bowl, this was just too far from anything I would want to eat (ever) to even finish it. "Mexican rice," black beans, semi-seasoned chicken, shredded ice burg lettuce, flavorless chopped tomatoes, sour cream, and a salsa bar where I could load up on a few iterations of so-so mild salsa, for a price I can't remember except that I regret paying anything. I kinda loved this place, and wish I lived in Baltimore so I could make it a weekly must-have. It's under construction, but the waiter told me they are adding doors and windows that can be automatically opened, to make the ultimate happy hour patio- sounds worth it to me! The bartender couldn't have been friendlier, introducing himself- offering me chips and the complimentary salsa bar and addressing me by name. The two most amazing items I tried were the "Blood Orange" Margarita and the Mango salsa. The marg is smooth, but make no mistake- it packs a nice punch. The salsa was sweet but spicy, and the perfect addition to my Shrimp quesadilla which was loaded with juicy shrimp. We stopped here last night around 9:30pm after going to the Sandlot. I got the blood orange margarita which was fantastic. I loved how they had a salsa bar but I would have liked to see more fresh salsas. For example, the mango salsa was like a puree versus actually having chunks of mango. The veg taco was excellent. If I lived in Baltimore, I'd weigh a million pounds thanks to this place. I came here with a couple of girlfriends, and we were greeted with hot fresh chips and a salsa bar with many options! The bartender chatted us up, and we enjoyed his company. I ordered a spicy veggie burrito, and my goodness, I'm glad I did! It was so good, and so flavorful. The soundtrack here is pretty fun, too, with a mix of top 40, classic rock, and music in Spanish. For being so deep in the expensive side of Baltimore, I found this place to be a good deal. Wow, I've never felt so alone in a sea of people. I walked into this place a few months ago while waiting for a friend. There were 3 seats left at the bar so I walked up and sat down. I'm not sure if the bartender noticed me or not but after 5 minutes of now even being acknowledged I just decided to play the "When are you going to notice the quiet polite person?" game. BE AWARE when paying with credit: Somehow an extra dollar was charged on my carry out bill. I ordered food at the counter totaling $9, but on my bank statement that transaction is $10. So it took me a few visits to figure this place out. I had some sub par experiences with some bland food, but continued to hear some good things about it. First thing to know - avoid the pork. Both my coworker and I normally enjoy pork the most at any taco place we go, but I have never had more bland pork in my life, across multiple visits. On a more positive note, the retried beans and chicken in the enchilada were both very flavorful. The salsa bar is helpful as it allows you to add flavor that is generally lacking in the dishes as they come. The tomatoes in every salsa were unripened, the mango "salsa" had nothing in it resembling mango, and the retried pinto beans tasted like they were from a can. If I still lived in Baltimore, I would continue to be a weekly (sometimes bi-weekly) regular at Taco Fiesta. The food is fresh and fast and more along the lines of Tex-Mex than truly Mexican. It has a colorful, laid back atmosphere accompanied by the owner who is usually hanging around. I always ordered the pinto bean burrito until I discovered the king of vegetarian burritos: the POTATO burrito! This is the most delicious burrito I have ever had! (reminder: I'm vegetarian) The flavorful horchata is a must try. They have a bar of serve your self salas which I always found met my tomato-heavy-pico preferences. Sometimes my friends could not find a salsa that they loved. The prices are reasonable and I was always full for slightly more than what I pay at Chipotle. Taco Fiesta makes a damn fine burrito. I had a steak burrito, and it was definitely higher quality meat than you'd expect to pack the inside of a tortilla. It's a couple dollars more than I usually pay for a burrito, but hey, it's a pittance compared to the other Inner Harbor restaurants. Good atmosphere too, how many other taqueria-type places do you know that have a bar inside them? There are two things keeping me from giving Taco Fiesta five stars: 1.
