Food remains very good with super large portions....but here's the weird thing....they charged us about $. 75 more per item than what the menu listed. When questioned, the attendant said "oh we just charge all bowls at that price". When prompted that the huge menu on the wall, clearly listed every bowl with different prices, she seemed comfortable (as did her manager listening to the conversation), to stand firm with charging the higher price. I think it is very awkward for the customer to be charged more than the price listed because it's easier to pick a universal price. Just change the menu prices! Lol read more

You can Dine with the RATS !!! Yes bring the family ! We pulled up 10 feet from back door and were greeted by a disgusting foul smelling overflowing garbage pail (pics r nice). Then just 30 feet to our right is the most disgusting Dumpster I've ever seen (again pics say it all), overflowing with Joes rotting food , the stench was unbearable, upon approach a Rat scurried away ! We don't dine @ establishments that serve Rats. Do you think sanitation starts at the door, I can imagine the practices inside based on their Dumpster sanitation & Rats. Look in the third picture, now if you were a Rat would you dine in that silly rat poisoner or would you Munch Out on Taco Joes Dumpster Buffet ? I'm appalled to see our neighborhood/Town being a filthy breeding ground for bacteria & disease. I was so happy when I heard they were opening another local Taco Joe's. The Massapequa location is always packed and the service there makes me uncomfortable. Taco Joe's in general has great quesadillas. I've tried tacos before and wasn't a fan. The chicken is always fresh and perfectly seasoned, and I've never had any chewy pieces at this location. The prices are great and the kids meals are such a great value. They come with a side of chips, a small drink AND frozen yogurt all for under $8. This location definitely provides an overall better dining experience between customer service, wait time and product. If you're in between both locations like myself, go to this one! read more

Stopped by for a quick bite during the week. The menu was pretty straight forward. You have tacos, burritos, fajitas, salads and even a kids menu. (I may be missing a few things I'd go check out their menu online :) ) You walk in and there is a bunch of ingredients to choose from along with some sauces and in the back you can see them cooking all the meats. Smelled good when I walked in- first time going there so I was pretty excited to eat there. I got a (regular) chicken burrito.. with a lot of food. Lol I didn't think it was going to fit, however she did a pretty good job closing it and making it stay. The burrito was really big and super filling- just what I needed! Then I got two soft tacos- one with (spicy) chicken and another with pork.. & guac. I would get both the burrito and the spicy chicken taco again but I don't think i enjoyed the pork as much as I thought I would. The pork looked delicious- but it just didn't have the taste I was looking for in a taco. The guacamole is extra. And it was just little pricier than I'd like however the burrito did come with chips... which kind of helped. I would probably be back - but I'd probably try something else next time. read more

The food is good but seriously can these guys STOP getting orders wrong? We order a lot from here and I'd say 75% of the time it's correct, but 25% of the time it's wrong. We've had constant issues in the past with them not building the burritos right. One time they re-delivered the item with their own staff (we use Uber Eats) and the employee told me the best thing to do is write in the comments how the burrito should be built. So we did that, and sure enough it fixed a lot of issues. However a few times now we get a COMPLETELY different order. For example today I ordered a burrito bowl, 2 tacos and a bag of chips. What was delivered was one quesadilla. That's it. Completely messed up the order. Calling doesn't get you anywhere, they ask if you want to come pick up the order and apologize. Very annoying. The entire point in delivery is I could not drive there and get my order. I also paid a premium with the delivery service. I just don't understand WHY they constantly mess up orders. I'd love to speak to the owner of this particular franchise some time but the staff won't give out their info. If I could rate this zero stars I would. I use to work here a week ago and I recently quit. This place has turned into an absolutely crapshoot ever since the new manager took over. The old manager here was wrongfully terminated without two weeks notice and currently has a young kid she has to feed. They fired her without any valid reason. I went back later to get food when I received a dirty look from both the manager and one of the employees who made lies about the manager to get her fired. The boss of the chain restaurant, I use to think he was a decent man but he replaced the old manager with his daughter who doesn't know one thing about operating a business or being manager. She cannot work under pressure and even said so. It all seems odd that she got fired like this and when I asked the new manager what does she think about being the new manager, she replied with " I've always wanted to have my own store ". My opinion is that she wanted to be manager and have her own store so she got her dad who is the boss of all the taco joes to fire the old manager so her daughter could be the little princess of taco joes. My word of advice is DO NOT COME HERE!!! Customers are getting angry with the new proportions when it comes to food. Company policy is for a burrito or bowl is two scoops of rice and two scoops of meat. They now give less and charge you more. Customers now don't want to pay and have become frustrated because their use to different prices and proportions. I'm telling all my friends and family to not come to this establishment after it has turned into a terrible place Bc of the new employees and policy. read more

Was rather impressed with this West Babylon Tex-Mex eatery in a small strip mall that's quite a bit like Chipotle. You choose your what have you from the assembly line of various meats, veggies, rice, beans, salsas etc. Ordered a ground beef burrito and it was quite tasty and very filling. Service at the counter was quick and courteous and it's cheaper than it's chain cousin. Would definitely come back here and recommend trying this place out. read more

This may be my favorite place to eat ever. I eat this for dinner every night. The food is so fresh and portions are huge. I have had so many things but the favorites are Chicken and Cheese Quesadilla, the Meteor Crater is my all time favorite. Pulled pork is also great. I can't say enough about this place. I just came from this restaurant I was treating my family to some great Mexican food. Upon my arrival the servers had an attitudes I chose to ignore it and continued my ordering. At the register the rude cashier began totaling up my order. She started to charge me for the condiments before informing me that it would be extra. I asked her to stop ringing because I needed to know what she was totaling. She said in a nasty way "I'm ringing up your food", while rolling her eyes. I said stop stop I need to speak to your manager. I asked was there a manager on site she said no. Then I asked for the name of the manager she asked me why. Then she told me that the lady who was preparing the food standing right next to her was the manager. I couldn't believe it. Beautiful if that was the manager she heard everything. The young lady said to me if you don't like it Before she could finish her statement I stopped her and said " if I what" I turned around finished paying for my food only and walked out to my car got on the phone and tried calling the store. I called 3 times in a row no answer. I waited 3 hours called from my husband's phone and that's when they answered. Have to give respect where it is due. Food is not always the freshest or most appetizing looking; at least to me, kids love it (honestly, I need fresh and chunky looking guac if I'm going to order for myself). My kids are their consumers. If we feel they don't put enough portion wise in meal and we say something to the preparers they comply.
