This was my first time at Fat Boys Burritos and it definitely left a great impression. We went all in and ordered a bunch of different items, and everything came out fresh and packed with flavor. The place itself was very clean and open, and it fit our family of 6 perfectly, which made the whole experience even more comfortable. I personally got the soft tacos, and at first they came out hard by mistake. But the staff handled it immediately -- they were super quick to fix it with no hassle at all, which I really appreciated. Shoutout to Julia and Catherine, who were easily the best workers we interacted with. They were friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. We loveeeee Fat Boys! To me, this is a perfect Tex/mex style spot. Is it authentic Mexican? I think not - but that's definitely not why I go. I got for the flavorful sauce and combos - and hefty portions. The bowls and burritos are 100p the way to go here. The Fat Gordo burrito is always my order - it comes with steak, tater tots, bacon, a cabbage slaw and plenty of their signature sauce (which they keep right on the tables). I recently visiting another location and had a great experience so I decided to try this location as I was in the area. I tried the shrimp and bang bang shrimp tacos. Both were incredible! The bang bang tacos has the perfect crunch and the shrimp tacos were super flavorful with the added pineapple. As if the tacos weren't enough I ordered jalapeño poppers for that extra kick. I have never had jalapeño poppers with honey sriacha before. Seriously, it was an unsuspecting and delicious combo. It sweet balanced the spices perfectly! I love washed everything down with their agua fresca limonada and it was so refreshing! And if that wasn't enough, they were offering samples of their coconut rum punch. The sweet flavors on coconut in the rum punch will definitely creep up on you! The vibe of this location was chill and the staff was super friendly. Fat boys is pretty good. I did not care for the bacon chicken ranch quesadillas, so I didn't bother sharing a photo of them. However, I love the off the Cobb corn. Very delicious, smoky and filled with flavor. I was suppose to have hot Cheetos added on top also. Definitely a must to try, I absolutely love this is as a side. The steak taco was okay, i am not a huge fan of how they marinated the steak.. I do not like their marinate sauce for the steak with this taco. So it was eh to me, but not terrible. Welcome to Patchogue!! I've been to the other locations and have anxiously been waiting for Patchogue to open and to make it in. Today was the day! It's bright and clean inside with about 10 tables. Employees were very welcoming. I ordered Fat Bang Bang as a bowl and I opted to sit in. The bowl consisted of Crispy fried Bang Bang shrimp tossed in sweet Thai chili glaze, scallions, guac, rice `N beans, cucumber slaw, roasted corn and Fat Boy's sauce. Garnished with cilantro. All the flavors were great together! I loved the cucumber slaw. There was also a VERY generous amount of shrimp included in the bowl. The bowl cost about $17 including tax. The Fat Boys Franchise has been a favorite of mine for quite some time. Happy to have one much closer to home. I'd absolutely return. 5+ stars! read more

It's been a place I've always wanted to go because of the amazing Instagram videos and it looked super yummy but it was very underwhelming with flavor. The girls behind the counter at Fat Boys are very nice. The place is kept clean, the food is fresh and delicious with a great variety with the Build-Your-Owns, plus the price is pretty good considering it's Patchogue Village. Despite all it's positive qualities, I can't give it a 5 star rating. The location is in a rough area (next to the back entrance of the Pat-Med Library), where parking is very difficult to find. That area of the parking lot attracts a lot of drug addicts, and mentally unstable people who try to climb in to your car if you have the window down, or demand money from you. Also Fat Boys tends to attract a young rowdy crowd, despite how small the restaurant is. Overall this is a great place, with great food, but I won't physically eat here due to the area and the majority rowdy younger customers. Thankfully Fat Boys is available on Uber Eats, and with the same prices! read more

Fat Boys was one of the first times an Instagram ad successfully got me into a restaurant. Tucked away in the back of Patchogue's Main Street, it's a trip worth making. The place is well decorated, and the staff were very nice. I was shocked by how fast the food came out, and it was great! The burrito was loaded with flavor and texture - sweet, salty, spicy, and crunchy all at once. As a bonus, the music in the store was great. Wow! What a pleasant experience. I went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed! Although packed, Customer service was not lacking. Tony, the owner greeted my son and I and even gave him a huge hug! He was very pleasant and welcoming. The best part, the food! Portions are huge and reasonably priced. Stopped recently for a late lunch. Ordered 3 tacos. Fish taco-was just ok. Was expecting more of a fluffy piece of battered cod. Instead it was just a few small thin pieces with a crunchy texture. Taco Gordo-good flavor! Pieces of steak were nice and soft not chewy at all. Crispy Chicken taco- by far my fav! Great flavor loved the crispy shoe-string onions. All tacos were big in size, not skimpy at all. I really liked the pickled onions/shallots they gave on the side and the fat boys sauce is a nice accompaniment. My g/f did the make your own chicken bowel which she said was huge she literally was able to get 3 meals out of it. Not sure if it was the owner but afterwards he came by to see how everything was and gave us a complimentary dessert. Would come back again to try other items on the menu. I ordered the Cubano bowl, it was inundated with cold French fries, guess what, it wasn't supposed to come w French fries. I think they just threw me someone else ordered that may have never showed up, I picked out all the fries and picked through the rest of the bowl of cold half melted cheese with too much sauce, plus the pickle chips tasted fishy like they were fried in the same oil as the fish, the nachos were the same, cold partially melted cheese.
