I love this place. I go here all the time. The food is delicious and the tacos are kinda spicy but not too spicy. Very cheap. The location is sketchy and poorly designed. Some of the employees are rude but the others are nice. I really like their soft shell tacos and the potato oles. Definitely give it a try with an open mind!

Although the service was great, the food was mediocre at best. The restaurant was filthy and the ambiance was sad.

It's fast food. The place is hectic and the food is okay. The dining area is always very clean.

Different tasting from Taco Bell but crunchy tacos are much meatier. 99-cents tacos can't be beat.

The ingredients, including the meat, are a definite step above the mystery meat Taco bell offers, but stuff is a tad more pricey.

When you order a slider, don't think you're getting some tiny sandwich--this thing is full-size and loaded. The kale slaw adds the perfect amount of flavor and crunch, especially when paired with Dave's sauce... such a good combo. The fries are also fantastic--almost perfect. I personally like mine just a little crispier, but the seasoning on them is so good it doesn't exactly matter lol And yes... we're talking about the pickles too. Perfect pickles. They add that extra bite and flavor that pushes the sandwich right over the edge to perfection. Oh and I almost forgot to mention my son wanted to try the macaroni and cheese so bad that he went up there and ordered a side of it, we all shared it. It was good, the noodles tasted just a little bit well done, and it smelled like velveeta. This place definitely gets crowded, but for good reason--it's a hot, popular spot and people know their chicken is fresh and amazing. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and I absolutely love the graffiti artwork on the walls. The bright, bold colors are so inviting, it almost makes you want to come inside before you even smell the food. If you haven't been here yet, do yourself a favor and get over here and check it out. It's great!

I had to use the restroom and it wasn't awful, but certainly not something you would brag about. I was surprised at how many people were working behind the counter. This was Sunday around 3. Not exactly rush hour, but they were busy. I ordered the two slider combo and a vanilla shake. I ordered 1 mild and 1 hot slider. I had no way to tell which was which when I opened the box. I ended up eating the mild first. This really isn't special. The flavor is lacking. The hot was pretty hot. My head started sweating immediately. Anything hotter would have been a mistake. Again the chicken doesn't have a lot of flavor it's just hot. The fries were okay, and overall this was a lot of food. The chicken pieces were big. The shake tastes like any other shake. Honestly o would rather have Canes and probably will be one and done on Dave's. Unless you just really need some hot chicken I would look elsewhere.

Order at the counter and they call your name when it's ready. I had the 3 finger combo which comes with fries, garlic bread and a drink. And of course the secret sauce. They were pretty crowded when we got there and the parking lot was a bit tight. It's kind of only one row of parking and I drive a larger vehicle so it was difficult to pull in or even back in to the parking place. I wanted to give 4 stars cause of the parking lot but instead just making sure you know, parking is a struggle. Once we finally got a parking place we went inside and placed our order. I noticed there was a lot of people that were happy and enjoying their dinner. There's not a lot of seating inside, I've definitely seen pictures of bigger Canes restaurants but it seems like it could be enough if people are in and out when they're finished eating. We didn't have to wait very long for our food and it was all fresh and hot! I enjoy the flavor of the chicken and also the cane sauce. The fries are okay but it'd be nice to try out some seasoning on them I'm not sure if this restaurant offers something like that. I love the art on the walls and I noticed the other two canes that I have been to have the brick wall painted with the canes logo. I love the ambience and all of the decor in the restaurant. I'd like to say that I would come back but they're building one in Peoria so I'll be able to have it there next. Thanks for making my meal fresh and ready!

So right before…read moreheading out of town on a Saturday, we found ourselves in need of a quick lunch and thought Portillo's would be a great choice. The place is huge, with three different dining rooms and an outside patio. The parking lot is large enough to accommodate such a crowd as well, as the place was pretty packed and we had no issues getting a spot not far from the restaurant. We did not wait long in line to order, and I was impressed by how fast the food came out. They obviously have a great system and plenty of workers to make sure you food comes out fast, fresh, hot, and correct. I got the chopped salad, since I needed something refreshing, and my partner relived his childhood with his favorite burger, fries, and a milkshake. The salad was great! I was skeptical about the pasta in it, but it added great texture and held onto the gorgonzola cheese well. Overall the flavors were balanced and each bite was tasty. The bread it is served with is also great. It came out still warm and went amazing with my salad. My partner loved his burger, saying it was just like he remembers, and let me try his vanilla shake. It was thick, creamy, and had great vanilla flavor. While I am not a plain vanilla fan, I found their ice cream very good. We were in and out in an hour and spent probably the same amount of money we would have at any other fast food or fast casual place. The bathrooms were also clean and had plenty of stalls. If given the opportunity again I would definitely come back.

The store in Normal is about a 15 minute drive off Interstate 74 from the south side of town. I started with 2 Chicago-style hot dogs. There was a pickle spear, a tomato slice, and some peppers in with my hot dog, on a poppy seed bun. I devoured them. Then I let my wife know where I was eating. She suggested I try a hot and wet, and the chocolate cake. The hot dogs were excellent so I decided to try them. I wasn't sure what a hot and wet was so I asked the cashier who took my order. She said "I got you." It was a slow-roasted Italian beef sandwich with hot peppers and dipped in the beef's natural "gravy" that dripped off it while it was roasting. I opened the package and started eating immediately. There was no stopping until it was gone. The photo in their online menu is pretty accurate. I didn't pause long enough to take one myself. Then there was the cake. If you like chocolate cake, this is a no-brainer. It was definitely non-dry. It was likely the best cake I''ve eaten all year. The restaurant was nice and clean, with someone cleaning up after customers as soon as tables were vacated. The cashiers were friendly, and the woman calling out the numbers was extremely friendly. I saw her offer to help a woman across the dining area from the pick-up window to package up a large to-go order. She also noticed that I went back for the cake. I will have to stop here again the next time I'm passing through.
