Surprisingly good tacos - fresh ingredients. Good idea to pick up and eat at home or at a friends place. Quesadilla was much smaller than anticipated - definitely not a complete dinner so order tacos or a rice and bean dish if you're getting a quesadilla. I spent close to $35 for five tacos and a quesadilla with Diet Coke - thought that would be enough for two adults but was definitely not enough food. This is the best place to go if you are looking for amazing food. I have ordered from this place twice now and both times i have got the Chef Special Nachos and they where amazing. There was just enough of the chicken,shrimp and steak and nachos with cheese with sour cream. I say if you are looking for a new place to try i would say you should try them because the food comes on time and it is hot and ready to eat. I have always heard raves about this place and saw the sign taco Tuesday's so I figured I'd go for a try seeing as it's Tuesday. It's 99 cent for chillie tacos but I decided to go for the grilled chicken... It wasn't that cheap $4.89 for 2 of them, but I figured hey I am being healthy by getting the grilled chicken.... Well I'm not sure if this is even chicken or just really dark meat, my sister thinks it's pork but we are really not sure. My other friend got the one pound chicken and steak burrito which looks a lot more appetizing. I tried a piece of the steak and it was better. Taco King was honestly a great choice. Their 99 cent taco deals on taco tuesday are super affordable and super filling. youd think you get a flimsy taco but their tacos are well filled. They arent cheap with their product. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients as compared to taco bell and such. They did forget to charge me though. If it was any other place I would have left, but the owner is a nice woman and the food was great so I went back and paid. Overall 10/10. This is a great "Taco Bell" spot but it's so much healthier and all ingredients are fresh. I've been coming to Taco King for years and they still have great food. The people are quite and do the job and the layout is simple but you are really there to eat good "fast" food. There is a TV so you can easy eat and relax watching a movie or show that they have on. The prices are very fare and the flavor of the food always keeps me coming back. Taco Tuesday is super cool too, there is photo wall that they have up of all the people who have records during their Taco eating contest. This is one of those Tex-Mex places run by Asians. If you are familiar with that type of place you will not be disappointed. Get your quesadilla in the deluxe version. If you have never been to a Asian tex mex this is one of the better ones in the area. Prices are cheap for the amount of food you can get. If you have never been to taco king, hop in your car, take the cross island to exit 26B (coming from queens) and drive five minutes to fast food heaven. Taco King is rad! Yes, it's typical tex-mex food, but its really good! They have fajitas by the pound, which i freaking love! You can get chicken or steak for around $20 bucks. It comes with onions, peppers, tortillas, black beans and salsa. I highly recommend. The salsa is so good, try the hot, it really is the best, has an awesome kick to it. I could literally eat all of the this myself, it's that good. (I would probably go in to a food coma, but I would be very happy). They have the other mexican staples on the menu, chips and guacamole, quesadillas, tacos. Everything I have had has been really good. This place is indeed as good as it gets. I give it the 5 star rating because you truly get the bang for your buck here. Quality and quantity. I love the half pound ground beef burrito, with the hard shell taco and a simple side order of Nachos and a large drink for under $10!!! You can tell that the food is fresh as opposed to processed garbage being passed of by places like Taco Bell. Very important in these competitive economic times. Most places have seem to have forgotten that people show their approval with their dollars and that should be taken into consideration when deciding what to serve. As the father of three fickle young boys when it comes to food, their eyes light up and they go nuts when I mention making a trip to Taco King for eats - something Mom refuses to to do. Not a place you'd normally expect to have decent food but it's pretty fresh. Definitely a step above Taco Bell but with comparable prices. The quesadillas and double shelled tacos are very good. Eh Taco King. Food was just okay. Burrito was the size of a baby. But the taste isn't there. It feels like a Taco Joes. The signs say they use fresh ingredients which I can't complain about. I am obsessed with Taco King. I think I order from them at least once a week! When I lived in Queens, Taco King was a favorite of mine. And praise the heavens because I moved right near another location of theirs! What I love about TK is that everything is super fresh and super filing. The 1 Pound Burrito and Black Bean Quesadilla are my favorite items. I've yet to try their tacos, but I'm sure they're just as tasty! The West Hempstead location is quite large with lots of seating. I've heard of this place from my sister many many years ago. It was her comfort food while she was going through cancer. She loved it so much that it was a meal for a maybe two or three times a week. When I tried it for the first time I could see why she was hooked. They always do right by me. Delivery can be a little slow but I am not the closest customer to be fair. The grilled chicken tacos are amazing. The steak fajitas are also great and can't go wrong with those two things.
