Came here for lunch today. Ordered the grilled shrimp southwest salad with extra crispy tater tots. I also tried their peach margarita. My friend ordered the philly with fries. Food was amazing. It's a laid back sports bar atmosphere. The servers and hosts are all really young too. But it's a proficient business to say the least. Everything tasted amazing. Our server Elijah recommended the Peach margarita when I asked for the sweetest drink they had. Hopefully in the future they include more gluten free options because I'd love to try their burgers.

We had an excellent small lunch. My better half and I split the Nachos and 6 wings. Everything had a great flavor. The ambiance is great for families and can accommodate groups. Numerous TVs with an ample bar and selection. Our waitress was outstanding attentive and super friendly with excellent service.

    10 original wings

My partner and I were in the mood for wings so we stopped at Taco Mac for a late lunch. Our contractor recommended them. We took a seat at the bar. We were amazed with the line of beer taps (100) on the wall and the many TVs. We were greeted by the bartender Jess (15 years with Taco Mac, impressive). Since it was our first time here we had quite a few questions. First was about the beer. She explained the frequent program they have regarding the beer. Quite interesting. We asked about the wings and she informed us in her opinion that they were excellent. She recommended a few of the beers which we did ordered (which we enjoyed). We started out with the house made chips with queso and salsa. Interesting that it included 3 folded up nice flour tortillas l. We did think they were a little skimpy on the salsa with the amount of chips. We had order each 10 wings and an order of fries. Mine I ordered original slow burn crispy and wet. Fries well done. My partner ordered med buffalo and also fries well done. Both with blue cheese dressing (was real good, not watery). When our orders came our first response was wow they are small. Especially for the price. Their slow burn lacked heat and honestly taste. My partner also thought his was bland. I requested crispy and wet which they were not but I don't think it would have made a difference. Neither of our fries were crispy. Also for $3.99 thought they should be more of a quantity. They also were not hot (fresh). First; we are new to the area. Second; Since I am a trained chef, Our tastes and expectations are different than most. We really loved the ambiance. Jess (bartender) was really nice and helpful. Would we return? Probably not. There are other places we would like to try. BTW the parking outside of this Canton location is horrible.

No one in town charges more for a beer than this place. For example, I enjoy local IPAs and Creature Comforts (Athens) is everywhere. I can go to several other stops in town and pay less for a 16 oz can or pour of this beer. Compared to another decent stop down the street, three roses is almost 30% more. My wife says one of the wines she likes is a little less than other stops, so that's good. But other drink prices tend to be on the high side as well, but most in town have higher liquor prices. That adds up if you like to frequent a place. Hence, we stopped frequenting. Overall, I like the decor and as noted, the food is decent. The upstairs is better than the downstairs but I'm glad they have the downstairs for some occasion when they could get busy. As for the Tavern / entertainment element, I've never seen any live music but they have several TVs. Not sure this would be my top choice to watch a game but it would work in a pinch if the other places were too busy or noisy.

I sat on the main level which had mostly booths (for 4 & 2 persons), half booths, bar seats, and a few tables. The interior was classy, but the ambiance was not. The mood was ruined by whiny acoustic music, probably picked by the staff and not for the customers. I can normally tune it out, but the uncharacteristic F*bombs coming from the speakers were a mood killer. And while waiting for my meal I heard the following exchange from the kitchen: "Your late!" "Are you going to fire me? Please send me home!" The hostile attitudes in the kitchen was unfortunately reflected in the meal. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fries were nicely cooked. The crust on the fish also looked good. But the fish inside was watery and unpleasant. It was also topped with a mass of cilantro sprigs, which did not pair with the flavors. I managed to scrape them all off. The fish was served with vinegar, ketchup, and (missing) tartar sauce. The friendly and attentive waitress was quick to correct the missing sauce, although it did take awhile. My meal also came with a side of slaw that would have been outstanding if the kitchen hadn't made a misstep of loading it with too much salt. The other seasonings in the slaw were excellent and unique and the addition of red onions was great, but sadly ruined by the saltiness. At the end of my meal I visited their modern and stylish restrooms. I'd arrived just after 5PM and on this weekday there were only a few patrons. So the stylish furnishing of the restroom were marred by the mess I encountered in there. Based on the number of employees compared to patrons, there wasn't an excuse for not cleaning that bathroom. I've seen truckstop restrooms that weren't that nasty.

It was cool enough that the fans did not need to be on and it was nice to not have a distraction of televisions that permeates the inside dining area. I was greeted right away. Our server, Delaney was awesome. She made great recommendations and I loved the new lunch dish that she recommended to me: the Thai Chili Crunch Bowl. The dish was amazing with steamed jasmine rice, chicken, green onions, and more. I loved it! My husband got the lunch 6 pc wing combo. The wings were fresh and a good size. The fries were hot and seasoned. The bathroom was dark but clean. When we were getting ready to leave, someone came out and wished us a good day. Outstanding service!

Service. Strips. Sauce…read more I've been to Sidelines before and I'm never really disappointed in what I get, but it's also pretty simple bar food. The Chicken Tenders were exactly what I wanted, but I'm pretty sure I've had the exact same ones from other sports bars. I think the Tyson chicken breast strips are good (and I'd continue to get them), but they aren't really something special. I'd prefer wings and things. The sauce I got them tossed in was really really good. I got the Buffalo-aki wing sauce flavor and additionally requested the Lemon-Pepper seasoning... yum! The sweet potato fries were great. I really liked the way they were cut, and they weren't too greasy at all (like some fries). They were, however, not really seasoned... but it didn't matter when I paired it with the sauce. Which, by the way, the Honey Mustard sauce was especially good. I don't usually see Fried Green Beans on a menu, so I was expecting something really good and to add a lighter veggie to my meal, but they weren't great. While they were really tender, the breading was very thick and greasy. They tasted good in the first few bites, but it was hard to get through after a while. Would not recommend. The service at this location is particularly excellent. I had multiple people check in on me to see if I had been helped already. I was wearing a shirt with a small emblem on it, and multiple people pointed it out and thanked me for my military service. And they were all very personable and kept up a fun smile. Sidelines would be a great place to choose for wing night, and they've got lots of fun side options. It's pretty average bar food at a pretty average price.

The space, the concept, the vibe all work. The bartender was excellent. Very professional, very kind, and clearly doing everything he could to hold the night together. I honestly felt bad for him. He was busting his ass nonstop and never seemed to catch a break. Unfortunately, the kitchen was an absolute disaster. From the start, four or five items on the menu were immediately unavailable. As the night went on, more and more dishes were 86'd. The message coming out of the kitchen was that they simply did not have the ingredients to cook what was on the menu, which is a pretty alarming thing to hear as a guest. Things got even stranger when we learned there was no chef in the kitchen. Instead, the general manager was back there trying to cook. It very clearly was not working. We ordered appetizers and waited about 45 minutes for what I believe was a seafood dip. When it finally arrived, it came out as a thin, runny soup. Not a dip. A soup. On top of that, it was so aggressively spicy it was nearly inedible. It honestly felt like no one back there had ever made the dish before. The food, flat out, gets a zero from me. If I could give it a negative score, I would. That said, the front-of-house staff deserves credit. They were polite, professional, and clearly trying to manage an impossible situation created by the kitchen. I felt for them, because they were the ones having to face guests while everything behind the scenes was falling apart. Again, this is based on a single experience, and I truly hope it was an off night that's been corrected. If not, I don't see how a place like this could survive. The concept is good, the people up front were good, but the kitchen that night was a complete failure. The entire 2 hour + experience was comp'd.
