Just a horribly disappointing experience tonight here. Phone order made as usual, arrived at pickup time and associate immediately ran my bill and had me sign, telling me my order was just about ready. I proceeded to sit and watch others arrive and successfully pick up their orders for the next 45 minutes! Hell, as I sat waiting, a couple came in, sat at the bar, ordered and got their pizza. I asked two employees if they hadn't started my order until I arrived and paid and one said, "that's not what happened'. The other said, "I don't know what happened". My order completed literally an hour and 20 minutes after our phone order. Painful. (Only fair to note: they were busy, offered me a drink, then offered to give me a credit or refund my ticket). Brooklyn Joe's is my go to place for pizza. You can get it by the slice or by the pie. The contents are great quality and customizable. They also have great sandwiches for those no wanting pizzas. The wait staff is very attentive and helpful. It's not fast food. Your order is prepared when you order so it comes to the table fresh and hot. Live lived in the area for 9 years and never tried Brooklyn Joes. I went last night and placed a to-go order and had a beer while I waited. Since it was my first visit, I orders more food than usual so the family and I could try different things. My order consisted of: 1 large half meat half cheese pizza 1 Artichoke and Spinach dip 1 penne with marinara and meatballs 5 lemon pepper wings 5 buffalo wings 1 Yuengling while I waited Service was friendly and attentive and the beer was wonderfully cold after a long day at the pool. Food came out promptly and I drove it straight home for the family. The pizza was some of the best I've had in the area and I will definitely get that again. The buffalo wings were pretty generic tasting and the lemon pepper didn't have any discernible flavor. In all I would not get the wings again. My kids raved about the penne and red sauce with meatballs, saying it was the best they had ever had,l and my wife enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip. I would normally give 3.5 stars, but am bumping it up to 4 since the kids loved their meal. Overall, I would go back for the pizza, pasta, and dip, but skip the wings. read more

Second time ordering from this place and just as good as I remembered the first being. The Joe's sampler is 2 meals on its own. The zucchini fries are so tasty, the tenders are good, wings solid, and love the mozzarella sticks. My wife got the calzone and she loved it with mushrooms and pepperoni, came looking filled with toppings and she had it for 2 meals also. Through mutual friends, we were told about a "New York" style Italian restaurant (Brooklyn Joe's) in our area that puts out an expanded bill of fare at reasonable prices and that their pizza is the closest to N.Y. pizza in the Atlanta Metro area. Six of us traveled to Rte. 9, Alpharetta last evening for dinner and were joyfully welcomed by the wait staff and ushered to our seats. Upon being seated, we were presented with menus as well as a card with "specials" of the day and asked what drinks we wanted. The drinks came out with a bowl of garlic knots while we perused the menu for our choices. The specials were mentioned again while a pleasant server took our orders. He heard our accents and was curious as to where we were from. He was born in Syracuse and lived in NYC before his family moved to Georgia; a connection was made. We all ordered salads to start. The House Salad was made from fresh mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded carrots and red onions with a choice of dressings. The Caesar Salad contained romaine, topped with Caesar dressing, croutons and Romano cheese. The "chopped" Antipasta Salad, in addition to lettuce & tomatoes, contained ham, salami, capicola, provolone and was topped with a vinaigrette, roasted red peppers and Kalamata olives. My wife and I shared the Greek Salad which contained the usual ingredients including crumbled feta, Kalamata olives, pepperoncini peppers, red onions and a Greek vinaigrette. The small salad was enough for two people. We 'tested the waters" by ordering a plain cheese pie for the table as an appetizer. The crust was thin like the Mid-Atlantic pies that one gets between Philadelphia and D.C. While it was quite tasty and somewhat crispy, it was not a New York style pie. Then, it was on to the mains. Chet had Joe's Ravioli that was stuffed with ricotta and seasonings and covered with their meat sauce that contained chunks of meatballs. Marie ordered the Tortellini Cardinale that were filled with a variety of cheeses and covered with a homemade meat sauce with a touch of cream and Romano cheese. Arlee ordered the Shrimp Scampi that was sauteed with garlic and herbs in a lemon butter sauce and served over Cappellini. It was under-spiced and she asked for some fresh-pressed garlic to add to the dish. Our server accommodated her. Barbie had Salmon Florentine sauteed with garlic, butter, shallots, fresh tomatoes and spinach in a pink cream sauce. Her husband and I ordered the baked Sicilian Ziti which contained penne pasta sauteed with Ricotta, Romano and Mozzarella cheeses, meat sauce, eggplant and mushrooms. It was then topped with Mozzarella cheese and baked. We both enjoyed our dishes. In fact the helpings were so large that we all took "to-go" containers home and look forward to a second night of pasta from Brooklyn Joe's. The dishes were traditional and reasonably priced so a family night out is not going to "break the bank." Was this gracious dining? No; however, this is a decent neighborhood restaurant that is as close as one could get outside of New York City in Georgia. We recommend it. read more

Let me start with I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. It's a very good pizza place. Location: super convenient. If you live in Canton, Woodstock, Waleska, or Ball ground, it's very easy to get to. Parking: ample and close. Decor: it has a bit of a sports bar theme with some Old World photos thrown in. Seating: pretty good. That said, you hit Friday from 5p to 8p, you are going to expect a wait. Service: hostess was very friendly and prompt. Waiter was outstanding. Food: We had the specialty appetizer of fried mac & cheese wedges. Good flavor, extremely filling. Would be better for a larger party. Our meal was a large custom pizza. Large is LARGE. It's big. Ok, a teenager could probably devour it in one setting, but two adults brought home breakfast and lunch for the next day (hey, cold pizza on a Saturday morning. Don't judge). Would I go again? We went to lunch at Brooklyn Joes on Saturday and the place was pretty busy for after 2pm! We ordered the garlic knots and a XL pepperoni pizza for the two of us. The garlic knots were so good, and the marina made them all that much better. Packed with flavor- if you aren't a huge garlic person- don't get them. Still our favorite pizza place in the area, and here's an updated reason why: the Village Veggie can be made even better by asking for not broccoli and replacing it with the fried eggplant! My wife grew up eating a pizza up in Connecticut that had fried eggplant, so one day we figured we would ask. Lo and behold! They are happy to make that change, and we are happy to eat it. On rare occasions, I do insist that we add sausage too, but as a fairly devoted meat-eater I can still thoroughly enjoy the veggie-only version as well. They have seating outside where my group waited. Once seated (inside), the staff took great care of us. They were attentive and friendly. I like that they offer pizza by the slice. I tried a white pizza with pep and mushroom and a slice of New York pizza. The slices were big and had generous toppings. They were delicious and the dough was excellent! Hubs ordered their special, which was a zucchini lasagna and enjoyed it. My son ordered wings and devoured them. The rest of my family ordered salads, pasta, and pizza. No complaints from anybody. Came here from out of town on a Yelp recommend, and I'm so glad I did! Called to find out if they were dog friendly and Alexa enthusiastically told me to come on in and bring my dog to sit on the outside patio. When I walked in Alexa greeted me like an old friend (the dog stayed in the car because she was acting too goofy for public). I thought, with excellent customer service like this, I'm in for a treat, and they didn't disappoint. The place was packed but I was waited on right away. There were many locals and everyone greeted each other by name. Great vibes here. Christian recommended their limited edition steak and cheese and it was a great choice. I started with a side salad that was huge, fresh, and delicious. The steak sandwich? Incredible. Housemade aioli complimented the thinly sliced, perfectly-cooked steak with white cheddar and caramelized onions. The ciabatta roll soaked up all those juices. This is a family-run business, and Jackson, Joey, and Christian were entertaining, attentive, and really cared that I enjoyed my meal. I felt like a local, too! Reasonable prices, good size portions, fast and delicious. The pizza looked phenomenal, and I may have to go back tomorrow night to try it. Didn't get the pizza since I'd had that dish multiple times earlier in the week. So I tried the burger, which was a disappointment as it was quite bland. The fries, however were decent. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately inattentive.
