After a long shift, we were looking for a place to relax, grab some food, and spill some tea. Since the Mexico vs. Ecuador game was on, we expected a bit of a wait, and we were seated after about 15-20 minutes, which wasn't bad considering how busy it was. A huge shoutout to our server, Isabella! She brought such amazing energy to our table from the moment we sat down. We ended up chatting about Love Island while keeping up with the FIFA match, and she made the whole experience feel so welcoming and fun. She checked on us often, made sure everything was perfect, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. Service like this is hard to find, and Isabella absolutely made our night. Wanted to try this location today. But the host wouldn't seat us in a booth or regular table. He would only seat at a high top even though the restaurant was half empty, and the tables were literally right next to each other. After years of not being at this location we gave it another shot a few weeks ago. SO glad we did. The host greeted us & took is to our table on the side/patio just off the bar. We asked our server to open the shades & change the tv to the Braves game. She was so accommodating & took great care of us. Got waters & allowed us time to relax & review the new menu. My daughter ordered a burger (cooked perfectly) & my hubby & I ordered wings... crispy. They nailed the cook on the wings & the FLAVOR!!! All day- I shall crave the Chili Lime!!! If I ever decide to go to Taco Mac this location is never my first choice. The food always takes a long time. The dinning/bathroom area seems to be dirty every time I go! From personal experience this Taco Mac seems to operate better during the day. All my bad experiences have been at night so that could have something to do with it. I do enjoy the fact that the location itself is very open, a lot of sun comes through! Taco Mac in general is a good spot to come by, have a drink and a bit of food with your friends (: The Brussel sprouts here are good! And so are the sweet potato fries! Since it was a Sunday, NFL Jerseys were worn by many routing for the Atlanta Falcons, so it was loud and of course we got seated by the loudest of all cheering at every play. I get it sports bar but yelling at each play ahhh, enough said. We were seated immediately despite how busy they were, and our waiter Edward was there quickly, very friendly, and attentive throughout the meal. Didn't check in on us we had to literally look around for her to come. We ordered queso which come with salsa. It was cold when it arrived our table no salsa. She took it back to get "remade" and it was the exact same one and still cold. The wings took so long to come out and last minute she let us know they didn't have the sauce I had ordered. There's plenty of parking when you arrive. We visited in a Wednesday evening and was seated right away.Our orders were taken and the food came out quick, I got the nachos and the portion was huge. Totally shareable. The nachos came with all the toppings on the side, which I loved because there's no way I could of finished it in one setting. Plus the tortillas would be soggy. The tortilla chips were freshly cooked. The cheese is melted to perfection and the toppings are added in just the right amount to give each bite a burst of flavor. Taco Mac had a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We ended up spending a good 3 hours there and never felt rushed. Taco Mac is always a hit or miss for me, and it really depends on the location. Food will always be consistent whichever Taco Mac you go to but the service is literally all or nothing. This is the closest Taco Mac near my house, and my friend and I wanted some late night munchies along with a beer to kick off the weekend. We came around 11pm on a Friday, and I will tell you now -- that is not the best time to be visiting Taco Mac. Service will more likely not be good, as they're trying to wrap up for the night and it's just not a good time to go wherever you are. We were seated immediately and our server took our order. We got all the way nachos and some beers. Can I just say how Taco Mac is really not affordable anymore? It used to be you can get a nice meal for around $15 pre-drinks but now they upcharge on fries for the wings and it's overall just expensive now. I blame inflation. Service was a little weird -- our server would be nice one time and then a few minutes later, she would seem annoyed. She did mention that she was tired and she had to work a double.. I was in a pretty good mood so I tried to have small talk and make her feel better and she seemed to appreciate that and was kinder to us. I thought it was funny that we had to work for our server to be nice to us, but I was in a good mood overall and I didn't want to let something small bother me. The nachos came out actually really quickly -- probably the quickest service I've received at Taco Mac. Nachos All The Way is such a classic at Taco Mac and it never fails, though I will say I just feel like the toppings get less and less every menu renewal they have. Overall -- we had a pretty decent experience, especially for the late-night visit we did. It wasn't too crowded, service wasn't horrible, but most of all - I had a great time. Haven't been to this location in years and was craving some taco Mac and a beer so stopped in today on the way home . Crowded as usual I was able to get a table quick had our IDs ready and got a cold beer while we looked at the menu. We pretty much thought we knew what we were getting but I saw they were now offering a Cuban sandwich so I opted for the Cuban sandwich for my son got our standard Philly cheesesteak and some hot wings. The Cuban was pressed and very good with hot fries and made perfectly. Phillycheese has always been great it's a little different and a tad smaller than it used to be but understand that after Covid tore the restaurant industry apart. Still a great sandwich and the wings are our go to wings. We like 3 mile island or whichever is second to the hottest and we easily ate those up and I ended up taking half my Cuban home with me for a great snack later. This is Taco Mac with all the beer selection you could think of, great staff and service, good price points glad we were in the area to stop by. Looking forward to coming back. We came to this location because I being pregnant had a sudden craving for Taco Mac ranch and wings. The service was good for a Friday nigh, and the food was hitting the spot for what I was cravin, but man I should have asked what kind of seed oils they cook this stuff in, because at 6am you would've thought I had eaten food cooked in castor oil with the unearthly sounds my stomach and digestive system was making. I was in so much agon you would've thought I was actually in labor. Soooo,.... there's an UPDATE! Recently visited with a friend, at the new location in Lawrenceville off Lville-Suwanee Road. I must say, this location is very nice and I love the outdoor seating area. This is in the Old Folks restaurant from back in the day for the natives in the area...lol It's crazy because I never was crazy about Taco Mac food, but I think I was ordering the wrong things. The roasted wings are the way to go and the Spinach Dip is pretty damn good! Not to mention the Mozzarella sticks. I ordered these, and these have to be some of the best Mozzarella Sticks out there. Yard House has ya'll beat but these aren't bad.lol...Size and quantity is GREAT! I see myself coming more often now and then. It really is a cool, casual place to grab a bite and a drink. If I could give this place no stars I would. I placed a to go order over the phone. When I picked up the food and checked it in the car, of course my order was wrong. I ordered Philly egg rolls and wings. The food did not look appetizing at all. I returned the food inside because it was not what I asked for. The wings were supposed to be all flats and the Philly egg rolls were just burnt, dried out and barely any filling in the inside. The wings were small and not flavorful. The host Josh went to tell the manager and to remake the order but by the looks of it, it was the same food. I wanted to give this place a chance because I'm new to the area but I have never had this experience at the Duluth GA location that I frequent all the time. Nice and casual, the bartender was super nice and recommended a different beers to try. Trio Dip: chips was nice and fresh. All the dips taste great, just wish the queso dip didn't harden so fast. Lots of variety on tap, as well ad more selection of beer in a can. If you want a strong beer that is kinda bitter (but not too dark) you should try the Frankstark. A unique healthy dining experience with an always changing menu bringing new and exciting dishes. That's not how I would describe this place. Fun atmosphere, lots of tv's, bartenders and servers who are fun and friendly, a great dining experience. The past 2 years with Covid, and issues retaining staff, has hit this place hard.
