    Empty restaurant.

We happened across this restaurant when the nearby restaurant we were going to go to was closed and we didn't want a big chain. It was empty when we came in. Literally empty at 1145am on Friday. We were promptly greeted and the staff were all nice. The man that seemed like the manager was very helpful. We ordered two lunch specials and I was definitely disappointed in the size of my lunch chimi (it was about 3 inches long) but it tasted good. As someone said before portions were kids size. I found that to be true on my entree for sure. Plate was full of beans and rice but only had a teeny, tiny 3 inch chimi. My hubby loved his huevos con chorizo and they gave him a lot more on his plate but only 2 tortillas so he had to ask for more. The homemade tortillas were amazing though. Overall a good experience but I can't imagine paying dinner prices there unless the entree portions are 3x what was at lunch. We'd probably try at lunch again before we would try dinner.

This place never disappoints! I was hesitate to try it the first time because they are new and it was empty, but I'm so glad that I did!

This is our second time eating here. It's fresh, homemade and authentic Mexican food.

All were delicious, but I would come back for the BigShrimpin' taco. If you like buffalo sauce and blue cheese, it worked so well with the crispy fried shrimp. Yum! The hubby liked the chorizo tater tot taco. Friendly, delicious, good prices, and faster than fast food. Great work, Chivo!!

Started with salsa & chips. The chips came out warm and the salsa (both green and red) tasted soooo fresh. You can tell everything is made in house. I had steak fajitas for my main course and I'm not exaggerating when I say they were the best fajitas I've ever had! The steak was extremely flavorful and juicy. It came with hot tortillas and all the toppings you could want. My husband ordered 3 tacos (codfather, big shrimpin & tators gonna tate). All were amazing! The service here was also exceptional. The food came out shockingly fast and sooner than expected. The staff was kind and attentive. Bartender Maddie was excellent! This place really exceeded my expectations and will be a regular stop when we're in town. 10/10 Chico love u

First, I thought I had reviewed them already-- so if I do two, that's why…read more I'm giving this 5 stars relating it to other SIMILAR places-- that is, Mexican restaurants within a grocery store--- i.e. more limited menu (although their's is pretty broad), not full bar-service (but they have beer), and not fancy. For what it is-- it is really scrumptious. I had a few tacos, a ceviche tostada and a beer. BIG lunch-- I took one taco home. All the items were really chock-ful of meat. The carnitas on that taco was way too much to be able to pick up the taco with it all inside. They had a good mix of onions and cilantro on them, although I'd have preferred to add my own (I LOVE cilantro). I wish it was nearer; I'd go back often.

The salsa and chips--- First bite tasted like tomato paste to me, very tangy and had a kick of spice. Chips were warm. No Guacamole!!!! What Mexican place has no guac? Chimichanga de pollo-- Shredded chicken with some onions, peppers and covered in cheese sauce. Fajitas mixta-- Steak was a little tough and chicken was very thin slices. Lacked some spices. More onions, green peppers and tomatoes than meat. It wasn't bad, but for our taste we have had better. The whole meal lacked spices. Would we recommend? Yes, give it a try, you might like it. Salsa is good but it's too tomato pastey for us.
