We sat at the bar, Saturday afternoon, not very busy. Female bartender, didn't get her name. Took her 10+ minutes to acknowledge our presence, immediately asked what we wanted. We asked for menus and after receiving them, we waited another 10 minutes. She took one drink order, made the drink, then came back for the other order and took 15 minutes to bring the drink. When the second drink was brought, we asked for chips and salsa. She immediately grabbed a bowl of chips, then handed them to the couple sitting next to us. 20 minutes later, she came back and asked if we needed anything. Only then did she remember what we had asked for. Never asked if we wanted a second round or if we wanted to order food. She then approached us and asked if she could cash our check out because they were doing a shift change and she wanted credit for our ticket. Worst service I've had here and it was very enraging, we usually love this place. Definitely will hesitate to go back because of her terrible service. Stars are simply because the chips and salsa were great and the guava margarita and big orange margarita were very good. read more

I will give good news and bad news, but it is all the truth. I made reservations a week in advance for my husband's birthday. Our reservation was for 6:30pm on Sunday, April 19th. We arrived on time, and the place was packed. I don't think they had the room for us, so we were shown the rooftop. It was chilly out, but my husband said he liked it, so we stayed. Our waitress "D" came within a few minutes and took our drink order. We had both had skinny margaritas and the drinks that Benji made were amazing! So fast forward, we're waiting and waiting and waiting for our food. An HOUR AND A HALF LATER, our food comes out as we are about to leave. We were annoyed at that point. We ordered veggie fajitas. They weren't sizzling when they came out, as they're supposed to be, they were freezing cold. I'm assuming "D" forgot about our food and let it sit there or the kitchen forgot about us, either way, we were forgotten. My husband and I were going to leave, but he was super hungry and decided to eat it anyway. I, on the other hand, decided to have mine boxed up. Ridiculous that we waited an HOUR AND A HALF for food, for my husband's birthday and then the fajitas were freezing cold on top of all that! So, we decided to sit down at the bar. Benji, the bartender, was very kind and gave us each a free drink. He did he would contact the manager for us. I saw him talking with the manager on his microphone. The manager never came up to check on us, never apologized and never even acknowledged our presence even after Benji the bartender called her. (He said it was a her). The waitress, "D", was sweet and kind, but she was at fault for all of this as well as the kitchen staff.... and shame on that manager for not coming up and talking with us! What food manager, after such a horrible thing to do for someone birthday, doesn't come up personally? My husband runs a resort and he would fire mangers over such things as what happened to us!!! Then, "D" told me that she would take care of our bill and gave us 1/2 off our bill, which was nice, but his birthday was still ruined. We went here on cinco de mayo and sat at a hightop by the bar. The restaurant was very clean and well appointed. We ordered the original margaritas on the rocks which were delicious but pricey at 11.00 no margarita special on cinco de mayo cmon. My wife had enchiladas and I had tacos as it was also taco Tuesday. Food was excellent and service fantastic but being in my 70's almost 60 lunches are too much for us. Loco Burro had a Sunday Brunch that was worth the 35 minute drive it took to get to the Restaurant. Yesterday we made the drive once again as we have done on many occasions. The parking lot was very empty and we even wondered if Loco Burro was even open as a line would form outside for customers waiting to get in. Loco Burro no longer has the Sunday Brunch and by the lack of customers in the restaurant yesterday I now understand why the place almost empty. I would not recommend this once great restaurant for your Sunday Brunch. Very sad as the 6 of us will not be returning. And by the looks of the amount of customers yesterday we are not alone. I can't go 5 stars because of a few small negative points-- the menu isn't very varied, first of all. There are lots of things on the menu but all pretty much within the standard fare of all Mexican restaurants. No mole dishes, no molcajete. Same for draft beers-- some good beers for sure (including some by local brewer Xul) but I think only one or two MEXICAN beers on draft. This is the kind of place where I'd expect to find Sol, Pacifico, some of the other Mexican beers besides the usual Corona and Modelo. However-- the food is excellent. I was really surprised that the salsa that comes complimentary was excellent-- 3 different flavors including a very lovely smoky-tasting salsa. (They asked if I wanted chips and salsa...I figured that meant $$, so I was pleasantly surprised to know that they are NOT charging for them). I got the arroz con pollo and it was EXCELLENT. Probably a full chicken breast cut up into 5-6 chunks, grilled wonderfully, over a very tasty rice with cheese along with onions and bell peppers. And the tortillas coming with it were really good-- flour, well heated and thick. Made for great tacos! The prices are a bit high, but I understand it's an upscale place and in a mall. Not the usual type of Mexican place for me, but if all the food is that tasty, I'd be very happy to go back anyway. read more

Good food, great service. Came in for their Sunday Brunch and wasn't pleasantly surprised with the good selection of food. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and seated. Our drink orders weee taken right away and plates were brought to our table to go to the buffet. The buffet had a good selection of breakfast and non breakfast things. A build your own taco bar/ nacho bar, soup, two different salads. In addition there was a carving station and omelette station around the corner. Towards the back there was a waffle bar and desserts with a chocolate fountain. Pretty sure the chocolate fountain was my 8 year olds favorite thing. The food was very good. It was fresh and the quality was there. There were plenty of options for everyone. Our server was awesome. She was super friendly, checked on us quite a bit to make sure we had everything that we needed and that our drinks were full. This was our first time trying Loco Burro, but it won't be our last. I want to come back and try their regular menu items. Their buffet was a great way to try this place and some of the options that they have and check things out. Jordan was AMAZING! Stopped in for brunch for the first time. There were tons of options to choose from and I ate twice as much as I should have. But the highlight of the meal was our server Jordan! He was so helpful and always hustling to make sure we (and all of the tables around us) had everything we needed. We arrived at the restaurant and 8:40, and while it wasn't empty it wasn't busy by any means either. We weren't sat for another 30 mins. Mind that there were only two of us. We didn't get our order placed until at least 9:40 because the servers and staff were all trying leave. On top of that our food was lack luster. Birria tacos where the cheese wasn't melted, old elote, and hard beans in the burrito. And when I got home something I ate turned my stomach and I was up almost all night long because of it. We both had been servers in the past, and so we understand what goes down as you try to close a restaurant, but if I'm going to wait 30 mins for a table at an almost empty restaurant the food better be damn good when I get sat, and it really wasn't. 3/10 overall experience at best. read more
