    Shrimp Burrito

They did not go light on the shrimp. I was happy since I had a shrimp in every bite. In addition, the shrimp tasted fresh and juicy. I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of shrimp they packed into the burrito. Every bite was bursting with flavor. Overall, I was impressed with the food and speed of service.

First time coming to a Taco Maya and loved it. Fast casual Mexican spot with what felt like an authentic menu with American flare. The chips and salsa were amazing. Thick chips with spice dusting made for a unique experience. The Signature taco was incredible, unfortunately the Nashville Hot Chicken was not as good. The Nachos were great because they were made with the same chips as the chips and salsa. Service was fast and the restaurant was clean. Will definitely be back on future Chicago trips.

    Al Pastor Lunch Soecial

Taco Maya has become one of my go-to lunch spots, and after a few visits, I'm hooked! While my first couple of trips felt a bit pricey, I struck gold when I discovered their lunch special which includes 3 tacos, rice and beans! it's an absolute steal for the quality and portions you get. Heads up to steak lovers: the special doesn't include steak, but the rotating lineup of chicken, chorizo, al pastor, and other flavorful options more than makes up for it. The al pastor is my personal favorite--juicy, perfectly seasoned, and consistently delicious. On top of all of that it has pineapple chunks! Up yummy! The location is super convenient with plenty of parking (it's in a strip mall, so no stress about finding a spot). Inside, the space is spacious, clean, and welcoming. But the best part, the salsa bar! From mild to super hot there is something for everyone! The staff is super friendly and nice, ready to answer all of your questions! If you're looking for a satisfying, budget-friendly meal with bold flavors, Taco Maya's lunch special (and that salsa bar!) won't disappoint. Highly recommend giving it a try!

I'd eaten at the Taco Maya location in the South Loop previously, but this was my first visit to this location. I stopped in with my brother before the Missy Elliott concert. We had about an hour before the show and were lucky enough to find a seat quickly. I waited in line and ordered, but my bro ordered on the app while sitting at the table because signage on the tables stated it'd be faster. I ordered one carnitas tacos and one al pastor taco. My brother ordered grilled steak, carnitas, and beef. He also ordered Elote and the Margarita Flight, which four mini margaritas. Those tasted like fruit juice to me. I wouldn't order them again. I only liked one flavor, but my brother liked them all. I received my food within ten minutes, but my brother's food took over twenty minutes. He kept asking about it as he watched other patrons who arrived after us receive their food. The employee was extremely busy and kept brushing him off. That was a turnoff because he should have been upfront about the issue. Later, he told us that the app orders were delayed, so that was the reason why the food was so late coming out. The tacos were pretty good. We both enjoyed our food immensely. My brother especially liked the Elote. He used to live in Mexico, and he said it reminded him of the Elote he'd eat down there. The chips and salsa were complimentary since we dined in, and they were decent. The salsa had a lot of tomato, though, so it took me a second to get used to it. (more tomato than ususal, it seemed) My brother had to woof down his food so we could make the concert on time, but he survived. The food is overpriced IMO for Mexican food, but it was the only healthy quick option. We didn't want Culvers or Panda Express. I paid $15 for two tacos, and my brother spent over $40 for his food. I also got Mexican Coke because it's in a bottle. I'm wary of fountain drinks. The location is small, but it was vibrant and comfortable.

I originally went to taco maya in Logan Square for a Yelp elite event. I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere so I was thrilled to find one near me. This location is in a mall, situated between Target and Ross. Parking is easy. Service was quick you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. They give you complimentary chips and they have a salsa bar of consisting of 5 different salsas which are are pretty good. This place has some unique taco offerings such as a samosa taco and a chicken tikka taco. I'm not the biggest fan of that fusion but it's still worth a try. I am however a big fan of their signature taco. Their carne asada is really good. This is one of the better taco spots in the area. If you're craving a taco give them a shot.

Literally the best taco place to ever exist. I have an unhealthy addiction to their samosa tacos and chili potato tacos and i get them pretty much every day. Amazing vegetarian options ive never been to a taco place where they dont only serve veggies and beans for vegetarians and vibes in there are great. Theyve never messed up my pickup orders either. Highly highly recommend

Super clean. Taco's are solid but the fries got me. Will come back to do the fries ala Mexicana or some sort of mix with meat. Cashier was helpful and friendly.

Taco Maya Rosemont continues to be my choice for eats post attending World Wrestling Entertainment events at Allstate Arena. During the two separate occasions I have visited, I have ordered either veggie fajitas, or the burrito bowl, with the burrito bowl being my latest order. In spite of there being a number of wrestling fans and others in the area post completion of the event, my wait was totally acceptable! I was in-and-out with my order no longer than ten minutes. Along with the service I received at Taco Maya, there were no disappointments in the burrito bowl ordered. I was satisfied with the visual appeal of it along with its satisfying taste, especially with avocado salsa - mild. Oh my! For future orders here or at any other Mexican restaurant, I will be looking for avocado salsa because I surely enjoyed it. In the meantime, I have yet to have any unpleasant experiences with Taco Maya Rosemont. I would surely order from again whenever in the area for likely events at Allstate Arena. ~ Be Kind. If you are looking for a good ol Mexican place, this is the place for you! They do take reservations and are pretty sizable. We went on Saturday night which was a bit crazy. It was very crowded and we were concerned about the service. While the service was a little bit on the slower side and we were there for almost 90 minutes, all the food came out hot and delicious. I got the Enchiladas in Mole Sauce which was excellent. It also came with a soup or salad which was a nice surprise. I went with the black bean soup which was great! If there was any downside, my House Margarita tasted a little weird. I probably could have complained, but I kept with it. Pretty good size, but I think there was a little too much tequila in it! Either way, this place isn't inexpensive, but you do get quite a bit of food and everybody at my table enjoyed their meal. Sometimes thats enough! This is a great icon in this part of Chicago/Rosemont.

Oh, Maria's, Maria's, Maria's! What happened? Maria's has…read morealways been a go-to place, but I don't plan on going back anytime soon. We were seated pretty quickly. It was surprisingly not very busy. We got there a little later, but 9pm on a Saturday night? Seemed odd that it wasn't busier. The server didn't greet us for quite a while. She didn't initially bring us chips and salsa. We placed our order then later comes back to the table and says, "you don't want chips?" We told her that we did. (Maybe the busboy dropped the ball on that.) Now, I've been going there for years, and usually get the steak dinner. Last night, I wanted to try something different so I ordered the taco dinner. There were two meat choices...chicken and ground beef. I opted for the ground beef. What I received was a mushy mess!!! Mushy ground beef with potatoes mixed in, topped with cheese, lettuce and tomato with a side of rice and refried beans. I waited for the waitress to come back to ask her if perhaps she got my order wrong. I really just wanted some traditional tacos. But since it took her so long and I was hungry... I started to eat the tacos. I really tried to eat them, but I couldn't. When she finally came back, she explained that they only come "American style," and the only tacos that come with onion and cilantro are the pork tacos. Well, I wish I would've known. She didn't offer or ask if I would like something else. The tacos were a mushy mess and absent of flavor, and the rice and beans tasted like they came from the bottom of the barrel that was sitting out all day. Honestly, I've gotten better Mexican food from the "roach coach" back in the day when I worked in a factory. The lighting was also weird. It kept dimming and getting brighter. Dim, bright, dim, bright. It sort of bugs me to do this review because Maria's was always one of those place we loved going to....not anymore. P. S. We went for dinner there last month, and it was less than stellar as well.
