I had Mexican style and they were delicious, served with a little container of mild or hot sauce (you choose), fresh cucumber slices, and a really delicious blackened charred jalapeño on the side. Good flavor, good texture, great price! Four tacos came to about $7. As others have noted, it's slightly tricky to find, behind what seems like an abandoned building next to a Walgreens. Excellent and authentic mexican cuisine. The lengua and chorizo tacos are amazing. Even the asada and barbacoa are very tasty and juicy. I am addicted to Taco Nazo tacos. A foodie friend of mine visiting C'bus from San Francisco said these were the best tacos he's ever had. Pick the mexican style if you like just onions and cilantro. I got on yelp to find some good taco joints and I found one with Taco Nazo! I've lived in the area for 17 years and had no clue this taco truck was next to Walgreens. CASH ONLY and they are not open until 10pm during the winter. Their sign says 8pm but i called at 8:15 and they said they were staying open until 8:45, so call before you go! Order ahead if you can. I came over here today for lunch. It's in the middle of this huge parking lot so there should never be a shortage of spaces. And the truck is a vivid yellow so it's pretty easy to spot. I ordered a couple of tacos and they were just okay. Certainly nothing to rave about as some others are doing. And keep in mind that the owner doesn't even give you a place to sit, as some of the other trucks do. I'll stick to restaurants where I can sit down and order. read more

Having left Columbus to live in southern Arizona for several years, I've had a lot of good Mexican street food (and I mean A LOT). When I moved back here, I figured I had been spoiled for life, my craving for those cheap, delicious street tacos would probably never be sated, and I'd be stuck with crispy-shelled, ground-beef-filled blandness. Turns out I was wrong. Parked in a barren parking lot off of 161, this place has still had customers other than me, even though it was around 2 or 3 in the afternoon (not exactly peak hours). That was a good sign already. My spirits were raised some more when I saw the pictures on the menu. These were real tacos! Just meat, onions, and cilantro wrapped in a couple corn tortillas, the way it should be, with the usual lime and radishes on the side. There were plenty of familiar drinks too: Jarritos, horchata, and what looked like some Mexican coke. And the meats... lengua? Chicharrones? This is my kind of place! The tacos themselves were excellent. I tried the chicken, the carne asada, and the pastor. All were very good, if a bit on the dry side. Really though, that's usually what you sign on for with a taco truck or cart. What really matters is whether there's flavor, and there was plenty, especially with the carne asada and the pastor. The chicken was OK but probably not what I'd get the next time. After seeing that they know their stuff, I'll probably branch out and try the lengua or something. Their hot sauce (presumably homemade) was quite good too. I also got a small chicken burrito, which was pretty good, but didn't make me want to deviate from my taco fixation. It was a bit too heavy on the beans and cheese with not enough meat and veggies for my taste, but with a few squirts of hot sauce, it was still several steps up from, say, La Bamba (OK, more than several). I mean, I don't know that this deserves its current position near the very top of the C-bus restaurant rankings, but when it comes to getting good, cheap tacos in the Midwest, it's hard to ask for anything better. Taco Nazo would have fit in just fine with the trucks and carts I used to frequent in the Southwest, and finding a place like this here in Columbus was a revelation. Now I just need someone with more entrepreneurial spirit than me to start selling Sonoran Hot Dogs here. Seriously, anyone trying to popularize those would make a killing. read more

Saw all the race reviews on here and I spend a lot of time in worthington so I figured I'd give it a shot. I ordered 3 tacos 2 chicken and 1 steak. Tacos are only 1.50 so they aren't breaking the bank. First impression of the good was that it looked very delicious. The presentation is good as you can get for a styrofoam box lol. I got mine American style because I don't like cilantro. I also went with the hot sauce to put on it. First I tried the chicken taco and my first impression was the chicken is a little on the dry side. Everything else has good flavor. I put lots of hot sauce on to moisten it up and it was better. Unfortunately the second chicken taco was the same. The chicken was dry. If the chicken was a little better I would be in love with these tacos. Now on the the steak. The steak taco was absolutely delicious. The steak was juicy and had great flavor. Mixed with the heat that the hot sauce gave it, it was perfect for me. I will definitely be coming back to try this again. All their food looks great and I'll have to give them a chance to redeem themselves on those chicken tacos. All in all well worth the money spent and will be coming back. read more

Best Mexican food in Columbus! The sopes and tamales (served only on weekends) are wonderful. Prices are reasonable and the owners are friendly. As mentioned in other reviews, this is a truck. So there is no seating, but I think it's totally worth it. We like to get carry out and eat the wonderful, wonderful food in the comfort of our own home. It's pretty great food, for the price and time you have to wait. I have a few issues with certain things, but I'm a complete Mexican food snob (Native from Arizona). I don't really get why they use mozzarella cheese to top things instead of jack or even cheddar... The carne asada had good flavor but was a little bit dry, same with the pollo. I did go at an odd time though, so maybe it's a little more moist during times that they're making it freshly. Don't get me wrong, the food is great and I'll definitely be back during our stay here in Columbus. I do wish they could throw a couple of chairs and tables down to eat under that little shade structure they have up. read more

I love Mexican food but am never really pleased with any of the Mexican dishes here in Columbus. I've recently gotten in to trying food trucks and was pleasantly surprised by this one!! Their food is DELICIOUS! Best I've had in Columbus.... I've had the tacos and the quesadillas. The quesadillas are my favorite. They make their own taco sauce or salsa (not sure the difference) and it's REALLY REALLY good! Definitely a must-try in Columbus. These are absolutely some of the best tacos I have had in the area. Fresh, authentic, delicious, and inexpensive. I absolutely adore the salsa and the fact that you can get them with cilantro and onions or with sour cream, cheese, etc. They make everything fresh so the service can be a bit slow-better to call ahead. We went yesterday afternoon and were very excited to see maybe 5 cars hanging out at the truck for food at 4:00 in the afternoon- always a good sign. And then it was actually as good as the popularity suggested. This is only my second ever taco truck but I have to say that these tacos were much meatier and tastier than the truck I had before. I also loved the radishes with the tacos, despite not being a radish fan. My husband's burrito was fabulous too- very melty and creamy. Absolutely delicious and cheap! read more

These are my favorite tacos in the city. It is a hidden gem. You are more likely to see Mexicans here than hipsters. There is an abundance of meat choices and the food seems very fresh. I would suggest that you call ahead for pick up otherwise you may have to wait about 10 to 20 minutes if they are really busy. Door dash will deliver food from them also. On our visit they were out of sopes so we tried the gordita, tacos, and tamales. Gordita was so crunchy it was painful to eat. The tacos were simple and just ok. The tamale was very good and authentic. While waiting for our food in our car we were approached by a sketchy individual asking if we wanted to purchase anything he had (assuming it was drugs). Taco Nazo's food quality is great. Great taste and generous portions. We have been enjoying the food since 2008. They orignally used to sit here at 2 Brothers Automotive's parking lot but the city forced them to move due to city ordinance issue. We still order and eat from the truck just have to go a little further down the street. We generally eat at least once a month. Great food and great people.
