Too expensive $50.00 for 6 tacos and beans and rice Tacos are ok they are a new place and it's really expensive

My boyfriend and I are traveling through and decided to stop here and the owner I believe asked us how we were doing and where we are from and what we do for work and was simply just a very nice guy. 100% would recommend. This is more of a fast food style place than sit down restaurant. You stand in line to order your food, but it does have a small seating area to eat in. I ordered four carne asada tacos with a side of guacamole and they were awesome. Quick and easy and less than $15 for a filling lunch. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! Tacos had no flavor and the tortillas we're old. So much for the tacos being $3.49 if that was case I should of just went to taco bell instead. The tacos of longaniza weren't that it was actual chorizo you would cook with eggs lol. We spent $80.00 dollars just to throw them away. read more

The one off Bonita Beach Road is excellent. This place is subpar on its best day, I will never eat here again. A burrito supreme on special is $6. If you ask to substitute steak they charge $10, however a steak burrito on the menu is $8. Even worse, it had very little meat in it, and the meat it did have was full of fat and gristle. read more

Oh I forgot this is SWFL and folks do not know good mexican food or a value for their dollar. It was a a sunday and my plans fell thru. So I was hungry, this was the only place open and nearby. I got without looking at the price my favorite chili rellenois . Staff was nice and food came too fast. Tells me it was micro wave. This entree was 10 bucks and was small compare to other REAL mexican joints in the area. Plus it was so bland, I needed 3 containers of hot sauce. I have gotten larger chili and plates for $6.00 or $8.00 depending on lunch or what have you. Of course I waited a bit longer, also the food was SO MUCH more TASTY. This place was such a disappointment! I ordered the carne asada tacos. I was expecting my tacos to be made out of corn tortillas with the carne asada, cilantro and onions. I got a flour tortilla with carne asada, pico de Gallo and shredded cheese. Way far from what I consider authentic tacos in my opinion. The meat did have good flavor. I also order the tamale plate. They looked great but that's all they had going on for them. The tamales LOOKED like tamales but tasted like straight up flour and the "pork filling" had a very odd consistency kind of like spam. Bad customer service. The nice young lady at the counter was great. Let me stop and say I LOVE TACOS. I eat them at least 3 times a week. I search out the local owned taquerias as I travel extensively. So I wanted to get a sampling and ordered the barbacoa lamb taco, carne asada taco, and soft beef tacos. The lamb didn't taste right. So the hombre in the kitchen came out. I asked if I could get something else, that the lamb didn't taste right. He immediately became very defensive and said lamb is different. Yes, but, I just don't like it. I eat lamb a lot and I just didnt like the taste. Have you ever had my lamb? He asked. What do you want then, he asked. Soft beef tacos. I said. When I got the soft tacos they had 1/3 the meat of the first soft taco. So in honor of Emiliano I protested and I just left it sitting there. This is a cute little taco joint. While the menu does offer some fancier fare, my favorite thing on the menu is is the basic beef taco. They frequently offer specials where you can get these in varying quantities for a little less than the standard price. They also sell breakfast burritos. When I found this out I was quite excited to return one day for breakfast. Alas they don't open until 10 which is not helpful when you want to grab a quick breakfast burrito on the way to work. Nachos and cheese- stale chips, yellow cheese is not what I expected, oh well, but tastes like basic melted Velveda. Now, salsa- what in the world is that?! Chopped tomatoes? Google reviews were high. Never trust google reviews. We both got a taco salad. Both terrible. My diced dry over cooked hard little bits of chicken were flavorless. My husbands ground beef not much better. He said at least it was the special of the day so only 4.95 each and I said Taco Bell's bowl is better. Live and learn. read more

Decided to try this homemade taco restaurant upon advice from a friend. My wife got the nachos (chips were stale) and a coke and I got the burrito. The small coke cost $1.79 which is a steep price for a small coke but worse than was that the meals were inferior to Taco Bell. We were hoping that we'd found a gem of a restaurant that was a mom and pop shop with good food but we didn't. Burrito tasted as though liquid smoke had been added to the hamburger meat along with an over abundance of salt. Taco Bell's burrito has all the typical stuffings for a typical burrito plus guacamole. This burrito imho was substandard as was the nachos so we will not be back. read more

I eat here once a week. Hands down the best tacos in town. 5.99 gets you 6 soft tacos or 8 hardshell. The place is always clean & the portion sizes are always more than adequate. Authentic Mexican in Cape Coral--yes!!! We went for lunch, on a weekday, and the place was PACKED--that says something. They have different specials every day. I have to totally agree with another reviewer on here. The food was quick and looked good but was very bland and not much flavor. My chips were actually quite stale as well. But that was the last time I went. I have been a couple of times. I believe in giving a local business a second chance. Update: Ok I've given up on this place..... As a previous reviewer said...authentic Mexican fare in Cape Coral...YES! The refried beans were always fresh (not that thick mess you sometimes get with Mexican food). I had the Chile Rellenos and they were fabulous. On a previous occasion I had the Burito Supreme that was good to but by far the Chile Rellenos were my favorite.
