I usually like to place an order over the phone or DoorDash. Last night I ordered the taquitos with rice and beans, and sadly the rice and beans tasted really old. They didn't honor the menu price and it was digital so it easily could have been changed. Bucks to lose a customer so early in the game. I always come here for breakfast burritos! There solid burritos, perfect to call ahead and grab and go. They always give you free chips on the side and a salsa bar for you to grab your own amount. Service is fast and easy. Very friendly staff. Location is ok parking is not the greatest but also not hard to get in and out. Ambience is a little hole in the wall. Maybe not best to take out first dates but if you make it on the second date sure it's a great spot to grab some tacos and burritos. read more

I ordered Pollo asado today to be oicked up and I specifically told the girl who answered to make sure the chicken is juicy but not undercooked coz it happened before that the chicken is still bloody inside. But they gave me a chicken that super hard and old. Super dry that not even a dog will eat it. This is very bad food. And of course I cannot return it coz i had someone picked it up. Came here on Friday after dinner time, grabbed a half pound double cheeseburger. The restaurant itself is pretty small with maybe 10 seats in the whole place, it's obvious that it's mostly meant to be a grab and go takeout kind of place. The place isn't super clean and modern, but it isn't dirty either, kind of what you can expect from a hole in the wall. You can see the kitchen directly and watch them cooking, and everything is straight from the grill. Well, for tacos and burritos a lot of the ingredients are pre cooked and sitting on the warmer, but the burgers are right from the grill. My burger was just awesome. Good bun, crispy, well cooked patties, nicely melted cheese, packed with veggies, rich spread, and overall a good portion of food. For $7, if rather eat here than a fast food burger any day, it's like $1 more but like $10 better in taste. read more

Our go-to street taco spot on SMB (Brothers Cousins) was out of commission due to heavy rain, so we loaded up Yelp to find the nearest indoor taco joint. First walking in, it has the nostalgic feel of an LA spot that should be good so I had high hopes. One thing off was the prices (a whopping $3-5 more than expected), but I figured if it's good, that doesn't matter. This was probably the worst torta I've ever had. The bread was soggy, I ordered pastor and it honestly could've been any meat. The entire thing was so flavorless, almost aggressively so. I think if the prices were under $10 like the fast casual spot it looks like, I wouldn't be so harsh. Always fresh! Always delicious!!! Price is Amazing! We ordered 3 tacos and the price was $11.50. My husband thought they must've forgotten to charge something and asked about it. He's so used to paying $35 or more at Tocaya Organica. Service is excellent as well. My husband had Gringo taco and vegetarian taco. I had camarones taco. All are So delicious! I am a foodie and a home chef who shops at Santa Monica Wednesday farmers market along with all the famous LA chefs. I went to this location once, and the one in Culver City is waaaay better. This location is tiny, cramped, and the food is in a buffet type thing or like Chipotle and they just reheat. Yucky. Very very bland. Ordered through UberEats, the delivery was fast and they packed the bag nicely so kudos on that. However they forgot my chips and still put cheese on the beans! I got the veggie taco combo. The tortillas are good, black beans good, the taco itself all together was gross though. The rice inside wasn't good. Adding on the salsa was even worse. Salsa is disgusting and I've never had a gross salsa before. It tastes like straight sour tomato juice, I don't get it. The pico is soggy tomatoes and onions and that's exactly what it tastes like. The lettuce was soggy wet and old, I picked off the pico and lettuce and ate just the rice and beans. Rice also is gross, they use the same sour tomato stuff for the rice I'm assuming since it has a bit of that flavor, and that's the only flavor it has. Only ok thing was the pinto beans but they put cheese on them still even after I asked for no cheese on it. Ughh... Everything needs salt bad, plus a lot of other seasonings lol. Sadly I will not try this place again. Many other Mexican spots to go try. read more

I was not impressed with the food here. I'm more a man of quality than quantity, so I should have known better on the burrito gigante. The flavor was bland and stale. I tried all three salsas they had was the same out of date flavor. Honestly after eating here, I felt bad about cheating on my regular "Mexican Food Place." I was hungry and driving by after work, so I decided to stop for a bite. The burrito cost 12 dollars and with 2 dollar tip was definitely not worth it. It's a convenient location right next to 7-11 off of Santa Monica and Bundy, with an easy in and out. Shame the food wasn't fresher and with more flavor. I will have to go to bed tonight with a unsatisfied pallet and hope for something better tomorrow. read more

Now this is a proper breakfast burrito! Squeezed a shopping center with a 7/11 Parking may be a gamble but with food like this you'll always be a winner! Whenever a place has chorizo I go for chorizo and they don't skimp, this massive burrito is filled with egg, chorizo and potatoes, but they cut the potatoes small and crisped them up so they aren't just filler. I splurged for some avocado for $1.20 more but it made it worth it, the cooking avocado balances out the spice of the chorizo They have a good selection of salsas, the mild tomatillo has enough acid in it that it's tastes delicious and gives it a little give but doesn't over power it I definitely can't finish one of these burritos in one seating so for under $10 it's worth it! They also include a free bag of chips, the employees were nice and helpful and the service was quick I was in and out of there in 10 min and on my way to work read more

Taco Plus use to be a great place to grab a delicious Mexican cuisine. Unfortunately, the employees working at the Bundy and Santa Monica location are rude and unfprofessional. I placed my or to a very unfriendly employee, who was more concerned about balancing registers than taking my order. After waiting close to 20 minutes to get my order, the employee who was counting the register asked if I had cash because their charge machine wasn't working. I didn't understand why he didn't tell me that, when I was placing my order. The male employee didn't apologize or try to come up with a solution to take care of the situation. When I went into Taco Plus there were 2 men waiting for their order. No one else was in the restaurant. This happend around 2:50 pm on Dec 4th, 2023. Service use to be great there. Ordered combo #1 (2 al pastor tacos and 2 sides - rice & corn) came with a drink as well. This was the place where I got introduced into a good tacos and burritos, I just don't fancy the prices tho, cause it seemed pretty steep compared to any other Mexican food, but then again, being in the West LA that's probably normal. Always luv the service, you can call for a pick-up or just went out there to order, but I would suggest for a pick-up because parking there sucks and they shared little lot between 5 stores including 7-Eleven. Their hot-sauces were awesome, it really went from mild to spicy and definitely luv the generous portions of each order. The burritos were usually huge compared to others and packed with meat, not just rice and their tacos were pretty good-sized too. I tasted the short-rib from my friend's order, it's pretty decent. I would recommend this place if you're looking for an alternative to a King Taco, but don't expect the same sauce, King Taco still on the top for me in terms of sauces. read more

Though Taco Plus doesn't have my fave lengua anywhere on the menu, the carne asada nachos that I got today for lunch were pretty impressive! My to-go package was handed to me about 10 minutes after ordering. 5 minutes later, I was home and dumping the green salsa, cilantro and pico de gallo from their condiment bar on top of the already heaping mound of food. Before I dug in, (and after I took a picture heehee), out of curiosity I wanted to weigh it. I just HAD to know exactly how much there was of this pile of chips topped with pinto beans, carne asada, melted white jack cheese, sour cream and guacamole! It was a total of 1.8 POUNDS of food! All for the bargain price of $6.69 ($4.50 for nachos, add $1.60 for meat, plus tax). As I dug in, I noticed that the cheese was unfortunately not hot and melty, but the carne asada pieces were tender and a little fatty (fatty, gooooood). The guacamole by itself wasn't special, but smooshed into the nachos with everything else, it was sufficient. The chips - when I actually could get around all the messy gooey (I'm not complaining about this) - were the light and crisp kind, vs. the thick and crunchy. I prefer the thick and crunchy honestly, but again - with all the gooey on top, it was sufficient. I think the element I was most impressed with was the carne asada. I usually don't waste my time on this meat when lengua's around, but this stuff was good enough for me to be open to coming back to try it in a taco! Parking was pretty easy, though the lot is tiny - and service was friendly and fast. So I guess if I'm looking for something fast, cheap and decent, I might come back. But it won't be the top of my list - and I'd rather try places that have lengua on the menu! read more

After 6 months of watching my coworkers order countless burritos and tacos from Tacos Plus, indeed it was my turn to get a taste of why they are always coming here when they have the need for Mexican Food. After all, there are countless establishments within the West LA area. One day during lunch, Dennis and I go to Taco Plus for lunch. Knowing how bad parking could be, he parked his car in a alleyway as we walked in to get our orders. My order is always simple. I just want an al pastor burrito and a carne asada taco, my meats of preference. Our order also came with chips on the side, and there is a salsa bar for you sauce lovers. The wait was not long, and long before we knew it, we were back in the breakroom eating our food. Of course I couldnt disappoint my fans and take some pics of whatever I was eating. I loved the al pastor here. It was not made too saucy like the one at Taqueria Sanchez. The carne asada meat was tender too. Something that is hard to find as it is usually either too rough or too chewy. This would be my spot of choice in West LA, if I had any cravings for Mexican food. read more

This isn't a fair review because I did not personally go myself but I had it delivered to me by the bf. He has been on a new taco craze and has been trying to find the best pastor tacos.. it seems he has found it... i don't like pastor tacos cuz it can be too chewy but he says it's not so chewy here but more tender. who knows i didn't eat it. I'm still doing my carne asada tacos.. their meat quality is a little bit better and they do load it up with the meat. the tacos are a bit bigger than your avg taco trucks but they do come at a higher price of $2.35/taco. i didn't like how the onions and cilantro were slightly cooked in the taco and the tortillas were soggy.. probably because the meat is juicier than usual. The only flaw is my second carne asada taco wasn't carne asada it was carnitas.. which as diappointing after liking the first taco I had.
