A Moses Lake staple! Every time I come home we have to go the Taco Shop at least once. There is a nice outside patio to sit in during the summer and inside there are tables, but good luck finding a seat during the lunch hour. Pro tip: Call ahead! But even if there is a line out the door, the wait is quick. You can't go wrong with anything you order. I like the tostadas and the enchilada plate. The tostadas have a nice crunchy shell smothered in beans and meat, topped with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. The enchilada plate come with your choice of enchilada (I like chicken and it's chicken breast) with house made sauce and rice and beans. In addition, they have great salsa! The Taco Shop is definitely a stop in Moses Lake you don't want to miss! read more

Microwaved stomach ache. Heard the microwave go off and when I got my food it was very obviously microwaved. Couldn't even finish half my cheese enchilada without wanting to throw up. Food has no flavor. Service is very slow. Menu is limited, no stake no nachos. No beans or rice or salsa served with your order. Restaurant is dirty and no space for social distancing. Outdoor area has no shade and is just 2 dirty picnic tables that are a little broken. read more

Not sure how this shop is compared to San Diego, but it was decent Mexican fare. There are a couple truck options that hit the SD quality. Prices are good and service is speedy considering how busy their lunch hour is. Food was fresh, tasty and a nice option other than concession stand crap inside the aquatic center. I use to live in Moses Lake this is the best place inn town. My mom still lives here, every time I visit this the first place I stop. I can not find food this good any place else in the US. Just had the worst taco experience last Saturday! Wait staff was untrained and the first tab came to $96.46. Realizing her mistake before I had to point out, she voided it and started over. When I asked for carne asada tacos, the first red flag went up! Reply "we only have ground beef and chicken." So I went with chicken. 3 tacos with rice and beans, 2 tostadas with rice and beans with two fountain drinks costs $26.86! We were given a number and I indicated we would be sitting outside. After 5 minutes in the sun, no food. I went in and asked if I could get the drinks while we wait. Reply! "That's too confusing!" Only after I gasped did i get the drinks. After waiting another 5 mins. Still no food. We went in to get a refund, and the owner/ manager had the nerve to try and charge for the soda!!! Yikes. My advice, keep driving and find another place to do business and get more authentic tacos! read more

I have eaten here everytime i have had the chance. i always order the same thing. TOSTADAS and a ROOT BEER. The the taco shop has beeen making the best hot sauce in the world since as long as i can remember, i judge all hot sauce against it. IT IS THE BENCHMARK of salsa. When i was 13, my uncle and i drove from seattle to moses lake just to have lunch at the TACO SHOP. it is a family tradition. heres the break down.... tostadas..........10million stars enchiladas.......5 stars tacos.................5 stars i havent had anything else but im guessing its good. either way put some of that homeade hot sauce on it and its guarranteed to be delicious. I created an account today, just to write a review on the Taco Shop. The food is a little more american-style than others would be used to in Southern Cali or obviously Mexico, but it's such a unique flavor with every dish they offer, that I haven't found a single place like it. The problem with authentic mexican food is that it pretty much all tastes the same. It's all REALLY good, but there's no diversity I feel. It's hard for me to describe what's so amazing about the Taco Shop. It's a very small building and has been owned by the same family since the beginning and the original owner still works there. If you're in Moses Lake, you have to try this place, even if it's for a quick lunch. You won't be disappointed. I grew up in Moses Lake and this was one of the main places I went to every week, especially when I went to middle school just a block or two away. I've now since moved over to the Seattle area and have been over here for almost 7 years, but any time I come back over to see family, I go to the Taco Shop at least once. All items are good on the menu, but my normal order is: 4 Bean & Cheese burritos 2 corn tortilla tacos with everything 2 jalapenos An order of spicy carrots (pickled in jalapeno juice) A Pepsi I'm always overly stuffed, because that's a lot of food, but I get as much as my body will let me eat, because it's THAT good. read more

I highly recommend this place it has a great environment and it's family ran which is great! I just don't recommend you spend any quarters on the toys and it's not worth it read more

Authentic taco truck quality! The best childhood memories of this Moses lake institution. Soft burritos cannot be beat. Great atmosphere and great people. The other reviews seem strangely overrated. The prices are super cheap and so is the food; expect very greasy product straight out of the FSA/Sysco can. It's like American-style tacos done by a fast food burger joint. It's just odd how much the locals love this place. Taco shop is not only my favorite taco shop in moses lake...it's my favorite taco shop in Washington state. Only a couple of places in San Diego and la come close, and since I grew up on taco shop the nostalgia pushes it ahead of those places as well. The burritos are where it's at, no matter if you get bean, beef or beans and beef if you can't choose. My mom always gets enchilados so those must be good too. The only thing that can occasionally deter me from an all burrito lunch are the tostadas. Great food, I'd highly recommend it. Particularly if you happen by and it's open...the owners close it for the day whenever they feel like it. Despite being sorely disappointed that it's closed randomly, I will always be a huge fan. read more

One of the better mex food places in ML. (I'm local) Ok, hole-in-the-wall and not authentic - But I like it, and eat there for lunch sometimes. Calorie count on mex food is high, or I would go more often. Lunch is only time they are open. read more

First of all, Taco Shop has been a well-known Mexican restaurant in Moses Lake for their food. Everytime I come to eat at Taco Shop, the food is amazing and delicious. The enchiladas are perfect and the sauce that they use makes them even better! Their tostadas burst with flavor every time you take a bite just like their enchiladas. In the winter time, I usually get their menudo on a brisk day. The service is great, the person at the front that takes your order always has a smile on their face! I tried this place on the basis of a friend saying it was one of the best authentic Mexican places in town. I wasn't super impressed. The food was greasy, the portions were small. It just didn't seem fresh. It was yummy, no doubt...but not the best or the most authentic. I ordered a tostada and two burritos. Good price, good service, so so food. Great food!! I must add They give you a HOLE bottle of sour cream for FREE! It's nice not paying $2.95 for a side of sour cream! Lol:)
