First time eating taco time. I got the taco salad with beef, didn't taste very good, but I just spent 9$. Three hours later my whole body was wet with sweat and I everything was coming out both ends. I'll never eat at another taco time. Just the smell of it is still lingering. Health department needs to check this location. I've seen so many Taco Times around Seattle that I had to finally give it a shot. I heard it gives Taco Bell a run for its money and I can say that it does for one reason...the tater tots...or "mexi-fries" as they call it up here. For fast food, I wouldn't say that the service is all that quick. Maybe they prioritize people going through drive-thru first but it was a while until our food came out when we dined-in. There's a self-serve area and the house salsa seems to be the main attraction. It's just like any other hot sauce if you ask me, except it's not in a little packet. I ordered a beef soft "taco" and it looks more like a burrito to me. It's a good sized "taco" but also a little more expensive than your typical fast food. It's a different take than your normal taco but definitely not as good as Taco Bell's chalupas. However, what differentiates this place from Taco Bell is their "mexi-fries" or tater tots. I loved tater tots as a kid growing up and I was delighted to see them here ~ nicely fried and with a little crunch. Taco Time is a decent option if you're in the mood for fast food. If I want a real fast food taco though, I'd probably still stick to Taco Bell and their chalupas. read more

We like Taco Time food and this location in particular. Service is always fast and friendly.

Food is good, but this location has started heavily prioritizing drive through over pre-paid Taco Time app customers or walk in customers. Was there in the late afternoon and waited for about 20 minutes for two meal items while watching about 10-15 drive through customers immediately get served. Other people were also waiting for their pre-paid orders while drive through customers were being quickly served and leaving. Got told mutiple times my order was being worked on. There's a window - I could see they weren't working on it. After asking twice - and being about ready to ask for my money back to go to the taco truck next door - I finally got my **2 meal items**. I don't mind waiting a couple minutes, but when you see them rush through over 10 drive through orders while you stand there, you don't feel like a valued customer. This location used to be excellant, so I'm not sure if the team changed or what happened. I can walk into the competing taco trucks or family restaurants and be served tacos and be eating in less time than it took to get my pre-paid advance order. Lots of places make good tacos in Kirkland. Hope they get their service team sorted out. read more

Rave specifically to this Totem Lake location! Friends and I had lunch there the other day. Everything was shiny and clean, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious for "fast food." And, it's one of the few chain restaurants to use ONLY compostable containers and serving ware. Just imagine if all FF places did. Bravo! read more

IMO Taco Time is one of the best fast food Mexican places in the PNW. They have tons of options (vegan, gluten Free). I found their burritos and tacos to be the best. They beat Taco Bell hands-down. They just knocked down the old building which was overdue and put in a brand new one. Its a huge upgrade if you care about what the inside of a fast food place looks like. Fool me once shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I ordered online on May 13th. When we arrived at the pick up window, I noticed the person preparing my food was not properly wearing a mask and I complained via email. Amy from Guest Relations contacted me and said she would "contacting the management team to give them the opportunity to coach their staff" and also gave me a credit toward my next order. Due to us having credit, and the fact that it had been more than a month, we ordered food again online on June 19th assuming the issue had been properly handled. When we got the the window,the same employee was preparing food with her mask not properly secured. This is unacceptable! All of the employees and management are complicit in allowing this person to prepare food and not practicing proper hygiene. Both times I ordered were via online and were prepaid. The location could greatly used a remodel to become more modern in terms of appearance and the location is so far back in the parking lot it is almost hidden from the road; however, the food inside is fresh and flavorful. Staff is friendly and the inside although very old and boring in terms of a welcoming environment is clean. Overall when in the area and wanting Taco Time this will do but this location is so outdated that it is very much worth a drive to another location. With Wendy's recently bulldozing their location on the same street to make a more modern and appealing location, hopefully Taco Time follows suit. read more

We pulled into the drive thru about 20 minutes before closing. Austin, the person taking our order over the speaker was extremely upbeat and friendly and didn't seem even one bit annoyed we were there so close to closing. After we ordered I said to my fiancé, wow, he was really nice. We pulled up to the window and had forgotten to ask for ketchup and hot sauce and he had already handed us our bag of food. He was SO nice and so friendly and polite and ran over to grab the sauces for us without seeming one bit annoyed. He seemed genuinely happy to be working and made even such a quick transaction one that stuck out enough for me to get on here and write about it. He was such a nice change of pace from typical nonchalant attitudes you normally get from people at fast food restaurants. Way to be Austin! Been here 3 times now for a quick lunch on my way to meetings. Service is always been quick and the food is good. Coming from SoCal with Taco Bell's and del tacos I can only say I wish we had taco time! I also respect their composting program and wish my local chains would do more like that. So-- if you know me, tater tots make me weak in the knees. Mostly responsible for this addiction is... Taco Time [why did you have to show me the light?!], which make tater tots even MORE addicting when dunked in their sour cream-ranch mix, or their hot sauce + ketchup [sometimes I can't decide which one to dunk them in -.-]. But enough about those pesky tots.. So yeah, most TTs are pretty much the same. But I decided to give this place 5 WHOLE STARS, because it might possibly be the best one I've been to. Reasons being: 1. Ridiculous drink machine (though most seem to be upgrading to this) 2. Every time I've been here, my tots have been hot! Also, I've had the best fish tacos out of all the other TT's, from here. 3. Nice, spacious seating with nicer decor than others I've been to. 4. They have a clean service area (utensils, napkins, etc) plus they aren't ketchup nazi's (I'm lookin' at you, Kenmore TT)! 5. Undying love for TT. Taco Time used to be my go-to restaurant. Going into the store at least twice a week and drive through at least another time. My bf and I knew almost all the staff on all the shifts and they knew us and our names, and some even our order. The store and bathrooms were always clean and they were the first in this area to get the mega Coke Freestyle machine (you can get almost anything you want to drink other than alcohol). They always were friendly, helpful and accomodating. Those things probably haven't changed. But they have taken away 3 major (to us) things one at a time that have made it impossible for it to be our favorite. First they got rid of honey mustard dressing (taco salads, side salad with Casita burritio, etc). Then they got rid of fat free sour cream (which I absolutely loved on the light chicken soft taco - I felt like it also held the taco together); the creamy goodness replaced by salsa and Pico they already had. But the beginning of this month they stopped doing a substitution I can't abide. Used to say no tomatoes, heavy cheese (always just a sprinkle, we're not talking a whole block of cheddar or light jack cheese). Now they'll take their tomatoes back and give you the sprinkle for about $0.50. Yay for them, more profit. So we are looking to find another go-to restaurant when we're feeling lazy and hungry. Oh, crispy beef burrito, you are the stuff of dreams! So this location has the same menu and prices as any other Taco Time. Which is awesome! I love the sweet potato mexi-fries they currently offer, and adore the flavors you can add to your favorite soda. After 3 wrong orders in a row, I contacted corporate and a person named Amy M listed as a guest relations cooridinator sent me a generic reply email saying she would get back to me but she never did, it has been 2 weeks. I sent her 2 more emails asking for help and I still have not heard back. Meanwhile, during this 2 week waiting period I tried going back to this location and once again my order was not correct. Every had a Grape Sprite? Or a Cherry Diet Coke? You can have those and probably another 100 variations at Taco Time - they have this sweet futuristic soft drink machine where you can tap the screen to create whatever drink you'd like, soft drink, flavored water, flavored lemonades, etc. It's totally awesome. I like Taco Time's NW roots and the fact that they source their vegetables from the Puyallup valley. The food is nothing, if not consistent and its worlds apart from Taco Bell. If I have one issue it's that the fish in the fish tacos is deep fried, but at that price point you can't expect gourmet. When I want an 'American' taco with fresh ingredients served by nice people in a clean environment, I can always count on Taco Time. read more

I've been here a couple times for lunch, and while it's busy, it's not the chaos you'd find at a fast food type restaurant. I took my wife to Taco Time, we ordered Chicken Crispy Taco Lite and Mexi Platter with lettuce, beans and mexi fries. The chicken does not taste like chicken whatsoever! This Taco Time has the craziest parking lot ever. I stop by here on my way around the lake drive, to avoid the craziness of 405. It is a narrow one-way entrance, with parking to the left that is always full, so you end up going through the drive through, which is also very narrow, to get to the parking on the other side. The customer service here is good, however, geez Taco Time, bump up the quality of the food. I'm really tired of the overabundance of lettuce in everything as filler. Side note: I often park between jaguars and bentleys in this parking lot. It always makes me go huh? I personally wouldn't be eating at a taco time if I had that kind of $$$. read more

I can't remember how long I've been going to this location, but I bet it has been nearly 30 years now. I'm following in my parent's footsteps, as it is one of the few "fast food" restaurants that I'll take my kids. Not that Taco Time wants to be referred to as "fast food" and their menu reflects that dedication. It is fresh, delicious and there are multiple healthy options. No brown lettuce, no over-cooked meat, no You'll have to go to a high-end restaurant to find staff more friendlier than those at this establishment. Everyone always has a smile and "hello" for you, even those rushing around to the various tables to deliver the food. The restaurant, while a bit dated, is very clean and well maintained. I am some how a fan of Taco Time - it is because of the food, not location or staff. I like that I feel good about myself when I enter Taco Time and when I leave Taco Time. The food is great. The staff is tolerable. I don't think that Taco Time training includes being on your best behavior when the staff thinks no one is watching or at the counter. From where I sit it tells me alot about the management of this location. I also visit the Redmond location on some weekends, but the Totem Lake location is close to my work. I am a frequent and don't see myself stopping anytime soon. Keep the food excellent and work on staff training. read more

The food is always good my only problem is I wish they would fill the tacos more with lettuce and tomato, I hate it when I get 2 little slivers of tomato and a few shreds of lettuce on a taco.
