Better than a lot of fast food when you're looking for more than a good taco. The burrito was moist and flavorful and worth getting again...other places tend to be so dry they are worthless without salsa but not here which gets them a 4 instead of a 3 (meaning I do look forward to coming back for this) Churro wasn't great...I mean I'm not going to turn down fried sugar bread, but the filling didn't really pop and wasn't all that hot even though I ate it first. I went in for taco tuesday. I got 3 tacos; one carne asada , one carnitas and one fish. As well as a small horchata. I need to caveat this review with I am a bit picky on tacos and awful at talking to people sometimes. Together that means, the fish taco is being compared to what I can get in San Diego and the latter is why I had all these tacos without salsa. All the tacos are fairly small so good snacking size. The size makes sense since the usual price is less than $3. The carne asada and carnitas are not bad. They would all benefit from eating with salsa. The fish taco was disappointing. I usually really like the sauce on a fish taco but this didn't stand out to me. It probably needed a bit of lime. Overall, it's good for taco tuesday. It's not somewhere I would go regularly. It is a local business that does encourage silly things, like a speed eating contest for the Totem Lake run club. Something that obviously worked because I spent money and watched. read more

I love this place. The value on Taco Tuesday is probably the best value around as several different taco options are $1.50. Some of my favorites to get are the crunchy shredded beef, the adobada, or the carnitas but they also have fish, carne asada and both a crunchy and soft chicken option. I do rotate which kinds I get but I always make sure to ask for both the green and red salsa as both enhance the food. It does get busy as they have both a drive through and walk-in orders. The staff are kind as well. The only con is the only way to get water is for one of them to get you some from behind the counter so you may need to ask for refills if you are dining in as you can't refill it yourself. They also serve breakfast burritos which I would recommend! read more

The food is decent here for the area but why is it so expensive? I got a taco plate and the tacos were literally Barbie doll size and I really don't eat much. The photos on Yelp of the tacos are like 4 times bigger than what I was served. For $17 for a plate of 3 with rice and beans, that's ridiculous. I think this place would be more successful if they made the prices more reasonable for what you get. A benefit of a drive thru type Mexican place is supposed to be that it's more affordable than going to sit down and potentially getting a more flavorful meal. Unless it's odd hours or for a breakfast burrito, I probably won't be coming back here. Street tacos were not what I expected, the pastor tacos were soggy and didn't have that much flavor, the asada tacos tasted horrible like they were made with really bad quality meat and the salsa was almost like just water. I've only tried a breakfast burrito, the Sounders, which is the chorizo one, and it was decent. It was chorizo, eggs, and potatoes. The salsa that came with it was very watery; I ended up using my own sauce. If I get a chance, I will definitely try their other items. read more

The fish taco was a bit weird because of the ranch flavoring. Overall this place is super heavy on the onions. The pico has excessive onions and the adobada tacos had more onions than meat I believe. It didn't help that they put the onions on the bottom of the taco instead of top too. The ranchero breakfast burrito was alright (again about overpowering on onions) but the rest of the flavor was good. A bit of extra tortilla but some folks like that. I've tried the tacos here before--they were good and pretty standard. I also had a California burrito, which tasted good but felt a bit lacking in substance. Most recently, I ordered the adobada fries and was really disappointed. For the price, the portion of fries and meat just didn't measure up. We went here with high hopes for a tasty dinner after hearing good reviews, but we were quite disappointed. The food that we ordered had hardly any flavor and was not what we were expecting at all. The chimichangas were soggy and had enchilada sauce on them! They were so tough, we couldn't even cut them with the flimsy plastic knives. The refried beans had zero flavor. Beans out of the can would taste better. The rice was tasty. The California burrito was the only thing my party ordered that was really flavorful. The breakfast burrito was okay, but the bacon and sausage were burned. The beef street tacos were pretty tasty, but small. The restaurant feels like a cheap old Taco Bell, and there was a broken ceiling light that was flashing a lot and apparently had been doing so for a long time. The staff were not overly friendly or wanting to make it right for us at all. I don't think I would come back again unless maybe to get the one burrito that was tasty and maybe street tacos on special. I heard about the taco box and it's a very cool concept and probably a hit at parties and IG worthy. You can choose different proteins and so I got the carnitas, carne asada, and crispy chicken. The box also came with chips and salsa, rice and beans. For the price, it was pretty reasonable. The quality of the food though was mediocre and average. Crispy chicken: this is probably the best one out of the 3 as it has flavor and texture. Carnitas and carne asada: couldn't tell these apart and was dry. What a great place for tasty soft tacos variety and very reasonable price too. I would come here weekly if I lived closer. The staffs were very helpful and friendly. The menu is extensive. I especially enjoyed the soft tacos. The carne asada, fish and carnitas were spot on. I am typically a fan of lengua taco but I think the other proteins are better tasting here. We were out shopping and both suddenly got hungry. I've been wanting to try Aceituno's, and it was just around the corner. We decided to eat inside for the whole experience. To start, the chips and salsa were more than we could eat. The salsa was fresh and spicy. Each bite had me wanting more, which then made my mouth hotter and hotter. I ordered two soft tacos, grilled chicken and fish. My favorite was definitely the fish. A little crunchy, topped with the perfect sauce. The grilled chicken was good and better with salsa. They have a salsa bar to add to your food. The green salsa was my favorite. The horchata was some of the best I've had. Next time I'll order a large cup! The crunchy taco and beef enchilada were very good. The beef was flavorful and the enchilada sauce was rich and smooth. They have $1.50 taco Tuesday.... I will be back for that. I stopped by and got a couple of items and churros. The drive thru cashier was super friendly, but the food seemed old and didn't taste that great. The cheese wasn't melted on the nachos. The bread on the torta tasted off. I was told they have excellent tacos, and I may try this chain again at a different location to see about those tacos. read more

Taco Tuesday at $1.50 a taco when you're working late and need to eat dinner? Aceitunos! Any other day? Maybe a different taco spot. You won't find any lengua or tripa here. Non Tuesday prices or on par with other local taco chains. So maybe opt for a burrito (which look super yummy and I really want to try next). Ordered online and they were quoted ready within 10min. I arrived around the 15min mark and food was ready! When I got home with them, they had held up well. All of them were nicely filled with meats and a proper amount of onions and cilantro Adobada (spicy pork) - tender but with bitterness present from the chili sauce. Might not be for everyone Fish taco - I surprisingly enjoyed this the most. Two smaller pieces of fish, well seasoned, and neither overly fried nor soggy Carne asada - second favorite! This is an interesting restaurant concept. The food is better than the concept. I'm not a fan of the menu. I don't like how it looks. I don't like the logic of the layout. And it makes this place seem like a cheap Taco Bell. It's not. The menu does not do justice to the food. The overall concept is the same way. It feels like a jumbled mess--a tossed together conglomeration of a small family taco shop, a Chipotle, a Taco Time, and a Taco Bell. Oh, and a sit down Mexican restaurant. The place needs to decide what it wants to be and have both a clean concept and a clean menu for that. Because the food. The food is good. Been coming here for quick dinners. My fave is their fish soft tacos. This week was my first time ordering the Taco Box. First time was for my daughter's preschool - staff appreciation week and they loved it. I ordered it again today, this time 2 boxes for a Mother's Day potluck. My family LOVED it. They couldn't stop gushing. And now I'm asked to bring it at every family potluck moving forward. They didn't skimped out on the meats. They filled them tacos very well. Unlike other taco joints. Amazing affordable Mexican food just like how they do it in the South (at least referencing SoCal and Texas). My Texican bf super approves this place and this SoCal girl approves their fish tacos. They also serve: California burritos, carne asada plates, quesadillas, enchiladas, rolled tacos, churros, nachos, and fries. Veggie burrito and taco is also an option. They have a small but tasty salsa bar with a red and green salsita, escabeche (marinated spicy carrots and jalapenos) and fresh cut lime. It may not be fancy inside but is bright, clean, and spacious with nice artwork on the walls. The workers are very nice and the food comes out fast. To all the people that complain we don't have good Mexican food up here, or think that Cactus is good real Mexican food, you have to try this place out. read more

I found this spot searching "taco Tuesday specials" and am so glad I did! Tacos (normally $1.80/each--still a great deal) are only $1.25 on Tuesdays, and you can pick from carne asada, carnitas, adobada, grilled chicken, and fish. My boyfriend ordered 10 carne asada tacos, and I ordered a fish. We also ordered a carne asada plate (#11) for $10.95, which comes with a side of tortillas, beans, rice, and guacamole. The portion size was large, and the food was tasty. I can't say this is the best Mexican food I've had, but it was prepared extremely quickly, and it hit the spot nicely. Aceituno's is a fast food Mexican joint in the Totem Square Mall, Kirkland at the same location as the former KFC. Aceituno means "olives" in Spanish. This was my first visit. Here is my experience: Went with a friend on the slowest day in the restaurant business (Tuesday) evening. I quickly noticed a new paint job with minimal decor, about 8 occupied tables (@ 6:30 pm) and the oily aroma in the air. Was warmly greeted by the owner. . Lucky for us, it was Taco Tuesday ($1.25 tacos). We ordered the half order of chips and salsa, 2 chicken taco hard shell, 2 fish taco soft shell, veg bowl, adobada mulitas and strawberry churro. Good: Very inviting condiments bar (red salsa, green salsa, marinated veggies and quartered limes). Salsa was slightly on the spicy side. Fish tacos was as small as the price but flavorful. Pork Mulitas was adobo flavored ...So good I wanted more of it. Great service at the counter, quick food delivery (under 3 min), clean tables and convenient parking. Room for Improvement: Chicken tacos was bleh...could use some marinade. Hard shell tortillas was a little dry. Tortilla chips and Mulitas needs to be less oily. Veg bowl should have more been veggies than just lettuce. Ventilation please...a couple of hours later, my shirt still smells like I was on a rig...
