    Italian sandwich and fries

This place was awesome. Small place Ive overlooked before and decided to try today- and not disappointed; cozy with cool decorations! The owner was the nicest guy ever, so happy and friendly. The sandwich was bomb, fresh , and the bread was toasted but soft. Fries were perfectly crispy, salty and delicious. Went with my co worker and we will be back for sure!

The Chicken Sandwich from Nick's Grill

My co-worker suggested Nick's Grill due to the reviews he's read about this restaurant. I was willing to try something new and we were not disappointed. Nick is the owner operator and a one man show. He's very personable and gave us recommendations regarding the best items to order. We both got the chicken sandwich, and in my minds eye, I pictured a McChicken of some sort. Oh boy was I happy to be oh so wrong. This sandwich is beyond my wildest expectations and amazingly delicious. Bring an appetite cause you will need it. The roll was nice and toasted, which adds to the depth of flavor. The Chicken was fresh and tasted like good quality chicken, well seasoned. The cheese is ample and the way it's melted will blow your mind. The sauce is sweet and balanced the sandwich nicely. The aesthetic of this establishment is very eclectic in a cool way, I felt like I'd entered a neighborhood joint from the east coast. A greasy spoon in the best sense of the word. Show Nick's Grill some love. I'm looking forward to trying other menu items soon.

We always love this place for comfort food when the weather got little chilly. You can order in store or online. Parking is complimentary. The ambiance was family friendly. The owner was friendly and efficient. After you place an order in the store, he would call you when it's ready. Give this place a try if you are in the neighborhood. It hit the spot.

    Greasy chicken sandwich

I guess I should have read the description better when it didn't just say "melted cheese" but instead said "tons of melted cheese" on the chicken sandwich, but what I was served was inedible. Just... grease soaked. Quite literally the greasiest thing I've ever been served. Bread fully soaked in grease, greasy chicken sliding out of a greasy cheese wrapper, sitting in a puddle of grease in the paper serving container, grease everywhere. And two little slices of tomato. Also, it tasted terrible. I had one bite and wanted no more. My partner got a burrito. It wasn't assembled properly so it didn't hold together; it was like they put all the toppings from edge to edge, and THEN rolled it. It was falling out all over the place. It was also incredibly bland. Like a step down from Taco del Mar. But at least I could eat it, as it wouldn't have made me sick the way the chicken sandwich would have. I'm all for supporting small businesses, and was super stoked to try this place due to all the good reviews, but sadly this was just not good.

    Italian with tots

Wow we have been sleeping on Nick's and we seriously regret it! My husband and I went for a late lunch on a Friday. Super quick and friendly service. I have been searching for a good Italian sub in the PNW, and I finally found it! Their house made dressing really puts it over the top! Served with a ton of tots - perfectly crispy and golden. Highly recommend checking Nick's out. Between the awesome decor, friendly staff, and delicious food. You can't go wrong!

First off, love the retro decor! A mix of 80's and 90's memorabilia. There are about three chairs they each seats 4. And I noticed som barstools to the left of the register. They have a menu that consists of burritos, sandwiches, a customizable burger and various sides. This was my first time here and the cool dude manning the register and grill was super nice! The food is made to order, the veggies are fresh, the burger patty was nice and juicy, and the tots are perfectly cooked. I'd totally come back for that burger but I'd like to try their burritos next time! I'll definitely be back!

    Regular Steak Burrito

Went here for the first time for lunch with a buddy. Great spot! The day we were there they were very busy. It still only took 15 minutes to get our food. We sat at the bar and watched the magic happen on the grill. The smells of grilling food were amazing! I had the regular spicy Steak Burrito. It was delicious and exactly the right size for lunch. Great deep flavors and a little bit crispy tortilla. It all comes together for great flavors. Will definitely be going back!

    French Fries, Tater Tots

We ordered two steak burritos, one grande & one regular. You can see the difference in the picture. The burritos had too much beans in my opinion. The fries & tater tots were good though.

We got the grande chicken burrito which was delicious and pretty grande. Hard for one person to finish, though not enough for two. While we liked it, it can be a bit hard to handle. We also got the steak sandwich, which I liked even better and a side of fries. The fries weren't my favorite, I prefer when they are cut thicker and more crunchy. I noticed that they cut a little hole in the take out box to let the steam out to avoid making the sandwich bread and fries saggy which is always appreciated.

This is supposed to be a burrito. Ordered to go, pretty sloppy when I opened it up to eat it. Disappointed.

Decided to try this place due to recommendations. 2 regular burritos, one drink and a side of tater tots for $35 The burrito was not wrapped right, there was rice everywhere. It was a mess to eat. The flavors are ok, but it just felt like a bunch of ingredients wrapped together, not a cohesive burrito. The tater tots were so oily. Every bite was half potato half oil. I understand these are deep fried, but they were literally soaked in oil. I cannot recommend this food. Service was great, the guy was nice.

It's a very casual,…read morewelcoming, and relaxed spot that is perfectly set up for families and large groups looking for a comfortable meal. The food here is good for what it is, but it's definitely more on the Americanized side of Mexican cuisine. If you are hunting for strictly authentic, traditional Mexican street food or regional dishes, you will probably want to look elsewhere. But if you are craving that classic American-Mexican style, think big portions, melted cheese, and familiar favorites, this is a very solid spot that hits the mark. The service here was really good, attentive, and incredibly welcoming to families. The absolute biggest highlight for us was how family-friendly the environment is. Our kids had a great time, and the staff made dining with children completely stress-free. While the food isn't necessarily my personal style, you can't beat how accommodating they are for a family night out. If you are looking for an authentic culinary journey, I'd suggest checking out other options. However, if you have kids in tow and are just looking for a friendly, easy, and reliable spot to enjoy some classic American-Mexican comfort food, this is a great option.

Most of the time I'm dining solo, and this place just has a great vibe. The music is always on point, the artwork and decor throughout the restaurant are awesome, and it's one of those places where you can relax, enjoy a good meal, and feel comfortable whether you're by yourself or with a group. Daniel (I believe that was his name) was outstanding. He made sure I was taken care of the entire time, stayed on top of drinks, and checked in just enough without ever being overbearing. Great service like that doesn't go unnoticed. As for the food, I always order the Carne Asada (steak) Burrito and have them add guacamole inside. It's become my go-to and has never disappointed. Great food, great atmosphere, great people. Matador has become a regular stop for me whenever I'm in town, and I look forward to coming back every chance I get.

I've had their street tacos, habanero enchiladas, California burrito... everything is great. The burrito is huge and full of fries, beans and meat. The meat is super tender and flavorful. The enchiladas have a super spicy, luxurious sauce that I couldn't get enough of. Their guacamole appetizer is also awesome. The inside has like three zones - a darker, moodier corner with booths... then high tables near the bar that are airy, with a ton of light... and then an outdoor area with umbrellas to keep the sun from beating on you too bad. They're all a great vibe -- just different. This is a beautiful, modern, clean restaurant that fits perfectly into Bellevue's scene -- but it almost has too much 'corporate polish,' like a Microsoft high-rise tower. My only mildest of criticisms is that this polish kind of obfuscates how soulful eating Mexican food can be.

The menus and water took a while to get to us, but we were given a basket of chips and salsa pretty quickly. After receiving our menus, we eventually had a server who seemed to give us pretty prompt attention. Party got the steak fajitas ($29), chicken enchiladas, vegan vegetable fajitas ($23.99), and the California burrito ($29). For the most part, all the food was good. The steak fajitas were the worst dish as the steak was dry and overcooked. But otherwise everybody enjoyed their food however, the price did not seem to match the quantity or service provided. I'm shocked at How expensive all the dishes were! it's crazy!
