We stopped for a quick bite at the newly renovated Taco Time in Marysville. We were greeted by the friendly staff and offered two ways to order now. Ourselves on a kiosk or with one of the staff. We both ordered a taco salad and I have to tell you it was one of the best we have ever received at any Taco Time. We have eaten a lot of them and this was amazing. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, the meat hot and flavorful with the perfect amount of cheese and three beautifully sliced bright red tomatoes. It truly was a great salad. The only thing good out of my dinner was the Tater tots. They were hot and crisp. The regular beef burrito and the beef taco I ordered were terrible. The beef was still cold and was not cooked all the way. they either had it in the middle of the container and didn't microwave it long enough, or when they put it in the burrito, they didn't even try to heat it up. Also, the beef was so bland, I didn't finish the burrito and didn't take another bite out of the taco. This location was a disappointment. The workers were lackadaisical, were more interested in chit-chat with one another, and seemed to be bothered with customers being present. The dining area is clean, with WiFi, but not much else. Even the condiments are minimal. The food was expected of a Taco Time. I ordered the crispy beef burrito and the beef nachos. My grandparents asked me to write this review on their behalf after experience two less than stellar visits to this specific Taco Time location. The most recent was about a week ago. They ordered two beef taco salads and were so upset about the quality of their food that they wanted me to share their experience for them. They said that the lettuce was absolutely disgusting. It looked like it had been frozen and thawed and everyone knows that lettuce does not take to being frozen well. I've found this out in my own fridge when it gets a bit too cold. The lettuce is ruined as soon as it freezes. Why the restaurant staff thought they could still serve lettuce that was past its prime is inconceivable. You can obviously tell when lettuce is no good. If you wouldn't want to eat it yourself, why try to serve it? Although this location is a bit closer to my grandparents house, they will be making the slightly longer trek to the Frontier Village location in the future where they have much higher standards of food quality. My grandparents attempted to reach Taco Time based on the comments section of the receipt but received no response. Since they don't have Yelp accounts themselves, they thought I'd at least be able to help spread the word. Stay away from this location! Taco Time can be a delicious place and I personally love their chicken soft tacos and always plan to pick one up when I'm in town but this is not the location to do so. read more

I don't even remember the last time I was at Taco Time, or if I have ever eaten there, but I think that is going to change. We were up visiting some friends out at Kayak Point, and had our other friends daughter with us when we realized we didn't bring the food with us. Well, that left us in a bit of a quandary as we not only had my son's food allergies to deal with, but we also had our friends daughter with us and she is a vegetarian. Combine that with being in Marysville, and our food choices were myopic. Well, come Taco Time to the rescue! We pulled in out of desperation, and were pleasantly surprised! They had lots of vegetarian options, she ended up getting a cheese quesadilla with mexi-nuggets, and they are very allergy friendly. My son ended up getting their chicken tacos with crunchy shells, and he absolutely loved them. My wife and daughter also had good things to say about their tacos and burritos. The big hit was the mexi-nuggets though! To top it all off, the staff were VERY friendly. When we explained our son's food allergies, they went and grabbed every ingredient label for review, and walked through them with us. I know it is not a five, or even four or three, star restaurant, but the service was top notch and the food was tasty and good quality! read more

As we were on a family road trip headed north on I5 we noticed the drive thru opens at 10 am here. Decided to stop in for our crisp meat burrito fix. The cashier was friendly and even offered our dogs treats. The order was cooked fresh very quickly and our burritos were perfectly crispy and delicious. The food at this Taco Time was good: nothing out of the ordinary for Taco Time. We usually get the baja taco, which is off their "fit hit" menu and is less than 200 calories. The other usual item for us is the white chicken chili, which is really hearty with chicken chunks and white and black beans. It's also on the fit hit menu. Their new corn chowder is surprisingly good. It's rich and creamy with sweet crispy corn kernels. You can also add chicken to it for 50 cents. My concern with this location was the overall appearance and upkeep. At first glance, the floors needed a good mopping, and the fixtures were dusty. As I went to sit down, the booth seats were ripped and popped, with an unsuccessful attempt at duct taping the holes. I couldn't find a booth I felt ok about sitting at. If a restaurant isn't able to perform normal upkeep, it makes me wonder what other things are falling to the wayside. read more

OMG. Horrible. We don't have these on the East Coast, so we decided to try it after seeing all the signs at every exit on I-5. We figured it had to at least be as good as Taco Bell given that there are so many. NOPE! Not even close! The food was bland, no flavor at all. Highly caloric for no reason other than just using dumb ingredients and putting way too much cheese and sour cream on everything. My weird chimichanga/flauta thing was disgusting. The ground chicken taco was a little better. Everything else we tried was mostly gross, and the decor in the place was sooooo outdated and dingy. I tried taco time for the first time. I'm being generous with the second star. I should have gone to taco bell. the cashier was pleasant. she earned a star for this place. the food, I ordered a #1 combo, which is a beef burrito, pretty much all it was, with a little cheese. the burrito was dry, bland and not good. I chose the chicken chilli for my side. I forced myself to take a bite, to give it a chance. the chicken does not look at all appealing, I skipped the chicken and tried it. the beans were not cooked and once again, tasteless. Now, I'm hungry and out $10.00. next time I want fast food of this style, I will go to taco bell, half the price and ten times the taste. I recommend skipping this place. We have probably visited this location one or two times a month since moving back to the area in June 2018. It was fine at first, but during the past three months, 3 out of 5 our drive thru orders have been wrong. The most recent from last night was ridiculous. We ordered three items - simple, right? Nope. We were told to pull around so they could cook a fresh crisp chicken burrito which can sometimes take just a bit. The wait was roughly 20 minutes. We the mistake of not looking in the bag until we got home - about a 10 minute drive. The "fresh" crisp burrito they made us wait for was barely warm. The hard beef taco we got was lukewarm - not the normal temp it would be, given our drive home and ordering this item in the past. Instead of a veggie soft taco, we received beef. It was obviously old and sitting out, as the tortilla was completely dried out and crumbling. After unrolling the cracking soft taco, I discovered that the beef was not warm at all - pretty much cold. It wasn't worth the drive back, so we threw it away. Sad that this location has gone downhill. I tried to call and talk to a manager but it went to voicemail. Not worth leaving a message. Of the two prior visits, we caught one mistake. Missed hot sauce. We used the drive thru so I popped inside after we went though to ask for hot sauce at the counter - explaining we asked in the drive through and the person forgot it. The person at the counter was barely responsive (no apology). He pointed away and said you can get hot sauce over there - the self service station. Well typically Taco Time is my go to when I want a Taco Salad for a meal. It's a lot quicker than me having to make the meat and prep it if you ask me! Well normally the ones I go to are fantastic! The customer service is the best and the food is great! However this place is not the case! I've come here a few times now and think driving the extra miles up North to the next one is what I will do from now on. Not only did I get what you could call a taco salad.. Ugh. This location is super ran down in terms of appearance. Half the booth seats are ripped or torn and not repaired. It is not dirty in here but it is not clean either, just meh. No pride in upkeep at all. Not the Taco Time that I am used to. They had a lot of staff on hand and there was only one other person in the place at dinner time...that says something. The guy that helped us out seemed to be more interested in the paper that he was reading then listening to our order...I am not sure if he was new and was trying to make sure he got everything right or what but when you pause after everything I say and look uninterested...that is an issue. Mexi fries were old and not very hot. Yes, I could have taken them back up but ugh. Son and Husband both said there food was fine. I would not go out of my way to come back to this location. This must be a corporate store because the prices here are much higher than the other 3 locations I go to in the Portland/Vancouver area (which I love and frequent often). My $2.30 soft taco becomes $4.59 here! The food does not seem fresh, either. And why is there no sour cream? This makes no sense to me at all. Instead they offer something called Baja sauce, which is just ranch dressing. Not good in a taco. The meat is minimal, which is okay because it is basically mush. I have patronized this Taco Time restaurant since the first of the year on an almost daily basis. I have never been disappointed by the food or establishment. The employees have been polite, and well-organized. The food has met, or exceeded my expectations every time. I had minimal time to get dinner for me and my coworker, I ordered 2 chicken taco salads and the wait began.....I watched car after car come thru the drive thru while I was left standing in an empty lobby waiting on my food....but at least the entertainment and side comments from the cook were helpful in my decission to not eat there again when I heard the only person actually working tell his coworker, that he didnt think the tomatoes were fit for using....Out of the 5 employees I saw working, only the male cook and 1 other young girl were actually working while another worker was yelling orders from the back, but not offering any team work. This is truly an amazing establishment. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about menu items. Steve made a great recommendation of the Natural Soft Taco instead of the classic Soft Taco. The food came out quickly and beautifully assembled. The house made hot sauce is delicious and pairs nicely with the tacos and the Mexi fries! Also, the decor and ambiance was very inviting and provided me much comfort during my visit.
