Not authentic but that's ok! It's really good and the remodel looks amazing. My only complaints are.. they changed the beef recipe and THE CHEESE NEEDS TO GO ON THE BEEF. I'd rather have lettuce falling off my taco then cheese. I feel stupid requesting this in the store so I dont. Definitely not anything worth knocking off a star. It's really fast and easy. Food was somewhat like we remember. Changed a little but it's as you expected. The cook blatantly told the lady wanting to take our order not to take it tell he caught up but there was only two of us in line. We were with family but paying separate and they got there food by the time we sat down and had to wait for us to finish. Not cool. read more

I grew up in Great Falls and have been going to Taco Treat my whole life. I have never in my 34 years thought I would ever say this but I don't like Taco Treat. The new owners completely ruined it. Nothing tastes the same and the last time I went in, my friend and I both got sick. The cashier looked like she hadn't showered in a week, the toilet was gross (they just opened that day), the music was WAY too loud and it was horribly hot in there. Thankfully the fan above us was off cause there is a thick layer of dust on the blades. Oh and don't forget the food that we saw on the wall 3 months ago was still there. I hear the ones in Great Falls are still good...Guess I will just have to wait to go there if I want real Taco Treat food. read more

Should be zero stars! Horrible experience and rude staff! We went through the drive thru, got our food and drove off. Several miles later we realized they had forgotten a burrito. So we drove all the way back and waited 15 minutes to be helped. They didn't apologize for their mistake and handed us a sloppy gross looking burrito. We asked if they could compensate us and they said "we don't do that here" but if we wanted to speak to the manager we could. The manager, Paul, came out with his arms crossed and asked very rudely "what do you want?" We asked again for some sort of competition for our lost time and gas and he told us that they would only refund the burrito and then he took the burrito back. So we wasted time and gas and only got half our order which was disgusting and tasted nothing like other Taco Treat we've had. We have been long time customers and this was the worst experience we have ever had. We won't be going back. read more

I love Taco Treat food but the the way patrons get treated in the drive thru is deplorable. I waited for almost 30 minutes (with only 4 cars ahead of me) only for when it was my time to order, the guy told me to wait and then proceeded to mock me after I ordered only one taco. He said "ONE TACO? You waited ALL that time to only order ONE ITEM?" ONE taco." Well, asshole, guess what? It ended up being 0 tacos. read more

Food is always great but the last few times we've been there the music is horrible. It's played super loud and is heavy metal. Awful dining music, I don't want to hear that mess when I'm trying to relax and eat lunch. Won't be back until they change their choice in music. read more

Well, we finally tried Taco Treat. Our first visit got off to a so-so start. When my partner asked if she could substitute a cheese enchilada for a chicken one on a combo plate, she was told, not very nicely, that changes were not allowed. Well, ok, lots of places don't allow substitutions. So she ordered one separately. I ordered a chicken enchilada combo. When the food was brought to the table by the guy who had taken our order, he dropped it so hard the plates bounced and he just turned and walked off. A slip, maybe. But a half-hearted apology would have been nice. Just out of curiosity, we watched him deliver the next order. He sat that one down nicely on their table. Hmm. Well maybe he just doesn't like dykes. So now for the food review. The 'cheese' enchilada had no cheese INSIDE, just melted American cheese over the top. The rice was barely acceptable, and had a dab of cheese-like substance on top. The chicken enchilada did have chicken in it, although it was probably canned. It was topped with what seemed to be canned broccoli cheese soup. It was so salty that it was nearly inedible. I did like the bits of broccoli though. I will have to do that next time I make enchiladas at home. Good ones. The cheese crispy that came with the combo was a weird mix. Again, melted American cheese, but I don't think it was on a tortilla. It seemed more like a sopapilla. Taco Treat is now off the list of places to try...and definitely off the list of places to go back to. YUK. read more

Just overpriced Tex-mex. Cheap meat, rice, beans, and cheese; nothing is "excellent". Not as good as Taco Bell but more expensive. Other nearby Mexican places are much better. Service is what you would expect from a normal chain fast food place. No reason whatsoever to eat here. read more

We went here on our way through town. We ordered a chicken enchilada and a chicken burrito. The meat reminded us of cafeteria meat, and the enchilada sauce was melted nacho cheese. The guacamole tasted like it was 10% avocado and 90% filler. Also, the restaurant was dirty. Gross. Better to eat at a chain like Taco John's. read more

ever since the new ownership happened the food has been awful compared to before...the enchatreato sauce has a bad flavor to it as well. the meat reminds of taco bell meat on a bad day. not worth the time or money. which is very sad. read more
