Jayne is as solid of a human as humans get!…read more My interaction with her stemmed from a post I made on an Airstream forum. I had never heard of Relic Trailers or Jayne (owner). My axle broke on my 16Ft airstream in Seattle while towing and I was trying to locate an axle to get my home on wheels fixed asap. A little Background... I've lived full time on the road in my Airstream for almost 7 years. Panic stricken by finding out the news that axles take 4-6 weeks to replace because Airstream likes to use custom axles was not the news I'd hoped for. Then this lady named Jayne responded to my facebook post and said to call her. She took time out of her day to help me navigate and try to locate an axle quickly through her networks and contacts. Through talking, she told me a little about her business and how she restores, renovates and sells super rad retro trailers. I half jokingly said, "we should trade", because she had some trailers slightly bigger than my tiny 16ft tiny tin can. I asked to come check out her inventory and was amazed by all the cool things she does at her little space in Tacoma. The next part of this story caught me by complete surprise. I had just met Jayne an hour ago and she asked "would you like to take this retro 19 foot airstream off the lot"? She offered up her trailer to me, a complete stranger so I could have a comfortable place for my dog and I to cruise up to Mt Rainier with. I looked at her wide eyed, and was like "ummm yesss, but come again".lol I'm a full time landscape photographer so not having a home on wheels(or a home in general) presents some challenges. Long story short... Jayne let me borrow her trailer for a whole month. Asked for nothing in return, all while doing the leg work to find me a discounted axle that we customized and got me the work done to my trailer for cost. I don't know how I got so lucky to cross paths with Jayne and Relic Trailers but if this story doesn't speak volumes of the person behind the business then I don't know what does. Forever grateful!!! Attached are a few photos I took during the time I borrowed her trailer. I was able to get to all these places and witness some of the best Astro Photography of my life that month thanks to her generosity.

I cannot express how much gratitude I have for Jayne at Relic Custom Trailers. I was searching high…read moreand low for a company to convert a 1955 vintage trailer into a mobile cocktail trailer. I could not find anyone local, so we traveled all the way to AZ for the renovations and this guy totally messed up my siding and all of the wiring was wrong. The siding was literally falling off on I-5 coming home and we had to stop and buy duct tape to hold it on, I was so upset! On the trip back home, I was looking up local places that worked on vintage trailers and Relic Custom Trailers popped up. To say I was shocked is an understatement. I cannot believe that it did not pop up in my search. To top it off, one of Jaynes concession trailers was one of my inspiration trailers off Pinterest! I contacted Jayne and she got us in right away and fixed all of the issues that the trailer had, and she went through all the plumbing and everything to make sure that everything is to code. She has gone above and beyond to also did an appraisal for the trailer that the other guy was supposed to do but never gave me. After I get this trailer up and running, I have another idea to add a Beer Truck, and you better believe you know who I'm calling. I 100% recommend Jayne and Relic Custom Trailers.

I did quite a bit of digging for a center that specializes in RV electrical repair. We had a project that involved my replacing our old lead acid system with a much more capable and lighter LiFePo4 system. Now we are experiencing issues with the battery not getting fully charged and so I reached out. When the phone rang and the gentlemen picked up the phone, all he said was hello. I introduced myself, explained what I was looking for and asked if I called the right place. He said yep. I asked him his name and that's when it felt like it was going down hill. I should have excused myself and called elsewhere. Who sounds exasperated to have to say their own name at their own business? Anyway, I went on to explain my issue in detail, what I had done on my own to try and solve the issue and his reply was, do I want to fix it or him to do it. Again I'm thinking, sir, I came to you for help, what's with the attitude? So again, trying to be as sweet as pie so as to not upset Capt Cranky, I further explained that my vehicle, a brand new vehicle that he assumed I bought used and told me as much may not be putting out enough amps to activate an onboard charger and if this could be examined as well. His answer after learning it was a new vehicle was to take my truck back to the dealership and make them fix it. BUT! This was after asking condescending questions about why I didn't consider this variable and mitigate that. I told him that I just didn't know anymore. I've reached the end of my ability to problem solve and I wanted an expert to help at this point and that's why I was calling him. That's when he tells me that I need to bring my RV to his shop in Marysville (not Redmond), and that he needs actual time to solve the issue in its entirety and to make sure I allow for that at $160/hr. I'm thinking, ok, steep, but probably worth it....until he said this....and if you have a budget of about $300 which it sounds like you do, I'm not gonna look at it. At this point I told the gentlemen I'm done being berated and talked down to and this was a huuuge mistake calling his shop much less staying on the phone with this jacka$$. He hung up the phone and then texted me saying the call got dropped. Ok buddy. Save your money folks. There are other shops willing to make you feel like you called the right place. Clearly not Pacific RV.

Spoke to the owner, worked with a manager. If you need a general cleaning, they do fine work. The parts of the car that weren't really dirty look good. I took my car in because the dogs had tracked mud or something on the backseat. I specifically told them that was what I wanted worked on. If they did the rest, whatever, but I wanted those spots gone. 2 hours and $300 later, you can still see some of the spots. Couldn't tell until the fabric dried. The main reason for the ratin is that they threw away personal items they deemed "trash". Didn't ask, even though I was sitting in the lobby. Just threw away multiple items and didn't return others to my vehicle. The items weren't expensive or difficult to replace, but it is a lack of respect for someone else's property, especially when they are paying you for a service. I had to go back and make them look around the work area for what was missing. Still didn't get everything back. The owner apologized "for the inconvenience". Also, if you still decide to give this place your business: Make an appointment and do drop off. Don't wait. They don't have a comfortable waiting room.
