Let's start out with I am just a shade tree mechanic and novice handyman. If you are working in your car or home project and you either lost a nut, screw, bolt or anything like that Tacoma Screw has it. I have walked in with a unique fastener for a yard project that nobody had in stock but Tacoma had it in stock. I have come into the store and described what I needed and they were able to help me find the right product. You do not have to be an expert by any means. This place never talks down to you and provides great guidance to find the right fastener. If they do not have the fastener they are always directing you to where you can find what you need. They also have a selection of tools in the store. The only issue I have is that they are closed on the weekends. read more

Compliments to the outstanding staff at the Kirkland location. I had been trying, without success, to find a suitable bolt/(axle) for my wife's suitcase replacement wheel. I love this place. I've now been here 5 times. Each time the staff here has gone above and beyond my expectations for what has amounted to peanuts I'm sure for them. First time was to get a metric screwdriver bit. I ran around all over town trying to find someone who had them. Even online it's near impossible to get high quality metric bits. They had them in stock and gave me just what I needed. Think I ended up spending a little over $3. Second and third times I needed a small collection of random metric nuts and screws for a 3D printer. They spent 5-10 minutes each time gathering up everything I needed from their back-room stock. First time I think the cost was $3.61. Second time they just considered them "samples" and didn't charge at all, and even spent time matching a metric set screw I needed extras of. Fourth time I needed an unusually long metric screw which they ordered from their distributor (a single screw!) and gave it to me later in the week. Again, no charge. Each time I've visited the staff were super friendly and helpful and made me feel important even though I was barely spending anything. Their store has all sorts of neat supplies, tools, and materials too. I'm definitely going to do my best to shop there whenever I can. read more

If I could give these guys a ten out of five I would. I went in on two different occasions. The first time I came in, they went well beyond the call of duty to help me out and get me up and running. I had a part that had been modified and needed some help and expertise. A few of the guys came over to take a look and everyone was more than willing to lend a hand to help out. The second visit was just as great. They helped me out and worked with me to see through getting my work done and for the only part they couldn't do there (welding) they referred me to Keith at Northrup Fabricators to do the work and even took the time to call him up for me, explain what was going on and set it up. He also did a great job and I couldn't recommend these guys more, or be more appreciative. read more

I never wrote a yelp review, but I feel compelled to do so for Tacoma Screw for their exceptional customer service. My 10 year old daughter's favorite pair of roller blades recently had a roller come off due to a missing screw. I took the roller blades in and they spent 10 -15 minutes diligently trying to find a matching screw for it. With some special measuring tool, they were finally able to identify that it was a rare screw (M4.5 x 0.75 x 10) that they didn't have. Not giving up, they found a smaller pin(?) and screw that did manage to hold the roller in place. Yes! And to top it off, they said they would give it to me at no charge! I asked, "really?" to which he replied "knowing that we made a little girl happy today is reward enough." Thank you Tacoma Screw. You made 2 life long fans today: a relieved father and a happy girl who can roller-blade again. read more

These guys are amazing. They quite literally saved my sanity. I had been running around all morning looking for these tiny screws to secure my AC as my apartment has been anywhere from 5-15 degrees warmer than outside since summer started, which is a huge problem for me working from home currently. They were patient as I tried to describe what I needed and for what, they were quick in locating the screws and checking my order out, and just all around extremely friendly while I was flustered and rushing. I can't even begin to brag about the customer service at this location! Mike, the Manager was so helpful and truly went above and beyond to help me find the right screws for the awning on my Van. He not only figured it out but actually put the parts on, which were not easy! The 3 screws were under a dollar and he said he wouldn't charge me......truly amazing! My most recent visit was to find a set screw that I couldn't find anywhere else. Maybe I'll learn to come here first! They had just what I needed. It's been a really long time since I've gone to Tacoma Screw. But I needed a teeny tiny screw for my laptop and Dell's parts department was completely unhelpful. So I brought my laptop and stopped by Tacoma Screw. I showed the guy at the counter what I needed and he disappeared in the back for a minute. He came back with a few screws (not knowing how many I needed, I suppose) and said that the ones they had were a little longer than what I needed but I tried it anyway. There was still a little play in the part I was trying to secure so he ran into the back and came back with some washers, which made the fit perfect! After getting me squared away, I asked how much I owed him - his reply was "nothing" and he sent me on my way with a little baggie with the extra screws and washers he brought out. What amazing service!!! Forget Home Depot or Lowe's. Next time I need a fastener of any type, I'll just get up early and stop by Tacoma Screw on my way to work. Thanks guys!!! read more

Went here to find some replacement screws for an antique spanish pistol. I was greeted by two nice guys at the counter, and after a few quick measurements they had two types of replacement screws to choose from. Best of all, they let me have them as samples!
