Delicious quesabirria. And omg that arroz con leche is on point. Worth the drive from downtown Denver. The service was really good, our waitress was very friendly and also made sure we had our drink within the first few minutes of ordering them. She explained everything to us and we were fascinated to see that the menu also had different foods in the menu as well. The bathrooms were clean and the music in the restaurant was not too loud so we can have a conversation. That arroz on leche though is something we'll come back for. Forgot to mention the queso dip with chorizo. The best in town! Forgot to take picture because I ate it all.

I was so excited to find Guatemalan style tamales in Denver! So tender and delicious! We went here for lunch of a weekday and it was rather quiet. Service was pleasant and quick. Easy parking in their own lot. I would definitely come back here for lunch or pickup some tamales to go!

The food is here is so fresh. Combination Mexican and Guatemalan. Amazing salsa. The breakfast is outstanding. I always have the same friendly waitress during weekday lunch. She's so lovely and the service is always prompt. The dining room is small with a few booths and a couple of tables. Definitely worth checking out.

Friendly staff and great authentic food. My husband and stopped here on a whim and were really pleased with our meals and the service.

Absolute gem! Tacos are amazing. Margs are on point. Highly recommend this place. Just off of federal and Mississippi tucked away in a small shopping area. This is the type of place if it was on the main road you would have to wait in line. Atmosphere is great with great service.

A lot to love about this restaurant! Stopped by based on other reviews/photos. I decided on 4 tacos(steak, chicken, Lengua, barbacoa) and agua de Pina. No disappointments! Everything was individually delicious and had me wanting to try more menu options. I appreciated the way the tacos came(onions/cilantro) and both red/green sauces without having to request or choose! Also the chips were fresh with a nice salsa. Agua de pina you already know was refreshing. This place is really clean, owners/staff definitely taking pride in the business. I noticed they had a low $ menu for high school students - love this!

This was all fun until my 2 year old pointed out two cockroaches on the wall. Then we noticed them on our booth. Sorry but no thank you.

Place is cozy, right on the corner, very natural earthy interior design, makes it feel like vacation and very different from rest of Denver vibe. Foods are beyond just tasteful, feels like a whole experience with every bite. You typically need 4 to 5 plates for a party of two, each plate is elegantly designed and crafted. It comes out as a pure perfection, the house cocktails are unique above all is the avocado margarita, which is one of the exotic cocktails of all. Staff are extremely professional, not too friendly, not too cold, just the right amount of politeness to make one comfortable. For my fellow Denver folks, you have to visit this place to experience contemporary Mexican dishes, which, by the way, most of them taste more towards a comfortable level of spicy.

Our server was very knowledgeable without being too pushy or over explanatory. We tried the big eye tuna ceviche, the scallops and the classic braised lamb shank. We loved two of the three however the big eye tuna was a bit of a flavor bomb and the tuna did not stand out. There was way too much going on and we kind of just felt like it was a salty mess. Denver is lucky to have a culinary gem like this and we look forward to returning to try some of the new creations!

The food was delicious! We got $2 chips and salsa off the happy hour menu and the queso con soyrizo (not on HH menu) which was served with warm tortillas. Honestly we probably didn't need all that because the tacos were so good I could've just filled up on more of the tacos, but still was a great meal! I ordered the lengua, pastor, and taco special (breaded shrimp). They were all so good. Think taco quality of a good street taco spot but with the ambiance of a cute tex mex bar. The bartender was great and made a solid marg ($8 on happy hour). You get a great deal on taco Tuesday but I'm sure you'd get great service and quality any day of the week!

Good meal but a lot of work and hassle!…read more Very limited parking. Left side of the building are a few parking spots shared by several businesses. Good luck getting a spot. Then you are driving the neighborhood hoping to find a spot. Finally parked and walked to the restaurant. Host told me it would be 30 minutes but the actual wait was 50 minutes. Spend so much time parking and then waiting, at what point do you give up and leave empty handed? Restaurant is VERY LOUD. Finally got a table and ordered OFF MENU. Server agreed to substitute shrimp for my enchiladas and they were good! Fresh corn tortillas were the highlight. Ordered tres leches cake and enjoyed it too. Was a nice meal but just not worth all the hassle.

But this was Monday evening and we were seated immediately. Our server said that we had 5 minutes left for Happy Hours--thank you!!--so ordered Caliente Margaritas and appetizers. The nachos were delicious--and messy! The Margaritas were as well. I had a nonalcoholic Athletic Brewing Company Cerveza Atletica (Mexican style copper). There were several other NA cocktails and beers available as well. We were all very pleased with our entrees. They were all luscious. Two of us are vegetarian and there were plenty of choices. I had Crispy Avocado Tacos, which came with black beans, and a side of Street Corn--both great choices. My friend had quesadillas and Potato Flautas , which I tasted and almost wish I had ordered as well. Our carnivore gentleman partners were also very happy, with one of them choosing a sampler, "Perdida's 'Best Of' Plate." Perdida is a great new addition to the Wash Park area.

We had arrived just in time for Happy Hour- Monday-Friday, 3-5pm . Perdida has a worthwhile Happy Hour as several main menu appetizers as well as cocktails are discounted. I selected the classic marg to sip on. It was a good, standard margarita for $6. We also had to try the mini chile rellenos. These were tasty and the dipping sauce paired well with the chilies and cheese. Perdida was good. I think I'll revisit to try some main dishes. The fajitas smelled amazing!
