Delicious and fast service. The sauces are amazing! I got the box this time, it was nice to keep my hands clean. The parking lot is pretty easy to navigate (unlike the NB location where this is no parking). Flavor profile could be a little bolder, but maybe that's why they have a lot of sauces. Nice staff.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is always such a great casual eats spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My only thing with it is that they use fattty pieces of chicken sometimes, which most places do! I just got a bit unlucky this time by ordering the pollo pastor because the chicken was a little overdone too so I got burnt pieces along with the fatty :/ but go with the shredded chicken!! It's a much better option. I loveeee the drink options so much and their little salsa bar area which is self serve. Overall a 4/5 for the chicken but if u like steak, pork and Brussel sprouts for a non meat eater, they have a ton of options!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Like all Tacorias, this one is just gorgeously decked out on the inside. Think colorful murals, fun lighting, and that signature funky, artsy vibe that makes you feel like you've stepped into a trendy taco haven with serious personality.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's snuggled into a tiny strip mall, and yep, parking is a bit of a tight squeeze--consider it part of the charm (and a mini warm-up before the feast). If you're lucky, you'll snag a spot out front; if not, embrace the parking-lot shuffle--it's worth it, I promise. Now, let's rewind for a sec--they used to have a self-serve kiosk! Remember those? The touchscreen ordering magic where you'd feel like a tech-savvy taco connoisseur? Sadly, that's gone now, and we're back to good ol' face-to-face ordering. But hey, sometimes it's nice to have a human ask you how spicy you want it, right? As for my go-to order? I'm a loyal, ride-or-die fan of their Golden Avocado Quesadillas. These babies are crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, and stuffed with golden-fried avocado that's basically a hug in food form. Pair it with their sweet, cinnamony Horchata, and you've got yourself a dreamy little meal that tastes like a fiesta in your mouth. Now listen, I'll keep it real--Tacoria's usually on point, but there was this one time (cue dramatic music) when the Horchata had gone rogue. It had definitely turned, and no one caught it until I took a sip and gave them the heads up. Crisis averted--but I still love them, and I chalk it up to a rare hiccup in an otherwise flawless relationship. All in all, this spot is a must-stop for me whenever I'm in the area. Fast, tasty, and packed with flavor and good vibes. I'll be back again and again--preferably with a quesadilla in one hand and a (fresh!) Horchata in the other.
Food is usually good, but it has also been burnt to carcinogenic levels before with stale chips and bland guac. When I left the review regarding that they reached out to me at 9:36PM via TEXT and gave NO resolution. The employees seem mid to be there but are helpful to explain the menu and are accommodating to allergies. So decent service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a nice quiet and clean place inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food price is a little expensive, but not outrageous for a better option than the glorified fast food restaurants in the area.
The food here is solid and definitely worth a try. I have no idea how authentic it is, as I have the impression that most people who talk about authentic Mexican food just has a favorite spot in Cali and uses that as their basis for authentic Mexican food, but the food here is tasty regardless. The Mexican street corn is good, the tacos are great, and the burrito is okay. The horchata is fantastic! Only thing that's not perfect for me is their burrito. Maybe it's too authentic for me, but it's just a lot of rice, like a ton of rice, with a tiny bit of beans and protein, and a dab of sour cream and sauce of your choice. It could definitely use more meat, although to be fair the quality was excellent, and I wouldn't mind some more veggies in there, even if it's like just lettuce and corn. And personally, I'd really love some cheese. If I come back, I'll probably stick to their tacos or try their quesadilla.
PROs - food , service , pricing CONs- hidden gem. Doesn't look like a big restaurant from outside . It's surely a hidden gym . If you pass by this restaurant you will not realize that it is a Mexican restaurant . Wish they had better exteriors . Interiors are awesome . Loved the atmosphere inside . Lots of tables inside to sit and eat. Parking is good outside . Service was good . Loved the smiling guys who helped and did quick work . Ordered a burrito and it was awesome .. it was actually stuffed with so much rice/bean and other stuff. After eating half of burrito , I was almost stomach-full. I specially liked their home made sauces. They had 4 types of sauces and I loved them all. I also had a fried avacado small eats . It was different .. never had it before . With those sauces it tasted good .. Came to this restaurant with yelp recommendations .. I should say , I liked it and will go back again..
Stopped in here with Wifey and my son and had an absolutely delicious lunch. It's a little odd ordering here, but you order up front like it's a fast food place (it's not) and they bring your food back to you. The front area is pretty tight but the back seating area is really open and bright. We kind of all shared each others meals, but we got a chicken quesadilla, a grilled chicken burrito box and a Tinga Burrito. Food was outstanding and their hot sauces are amazingly flavorful. My son graduates soon so maybe I'll make an excuse to drop by campus and take him out to lunch here again.
The BEST fast-casual Mexican spot, by far. Imagine Chipotle but with way better ingredients, bigger portions, and better flavors. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, I usually go with a burrito box and add golden avocado with a side of street corn. They have really nice staff, one time they forgot to add guac on my friend's order and gave her a side of guac and chips to make up for it. They also sell bottled water in store and this sounds crazy but it's really good water. I think there's electrolytes in it and it comes in a fancy metal bottle. If you order delivery from here, things are always packaged well, and because portions are big, there's a good chance you'll have leftovers. Yum!
Had a hankering for some tacos so decided to stop at Tacroia for some lunch! The service was quick. I was in and out within 30 minutes during the lunch rush. The decor at all the Tacoria's are so stunning. Here there were plants hanging everywhere and I am here for it. They also have some light up letters hanging on the ceiling but did not get the chance to see what it spelled out. I got three different tacos with the chorizo one being my favorite then the pastor. The steak was meh to me. The habanero salsa or any one of their homemade salsa is a must on use of any one of your dishes. Looking forward to coming back and finding out the mystery saying on the ceiling while also getting more chorizo tacos.

To be honest, my expectations were low coming in. It looks like a normal quick in-and-out American chain for tacos. It is also a chain (I saw other locations in the map). I was pleasantly surprised though, and left with a happy face and a full stomach. The food is fresh (really fresh). The guacamole is very creamy and flavorful, the meats for the salads were delicious, but what really takes the spotlight for me were the sauces. They are all made fresh in store and boy are they good. I tried all 4, and found myself rotating them on my food, I just couldn't pick a favorite. They also have a really good horchata and also other freshly made drinks (lemonade and a guava drink were the options available at the time). The Nutella nachos - wow. They tasted like eating a churro but with a crunchy texture. That extra drizzle of Nutella and powdered sugar was just that little extra oomph it needed to elevate the flavor. The place was sparkling clean, the staff super friendly and plenty of parking to choose from. read more

Have seen Tacoria in other parts of Nj but never been to one . The Yelp Elite experience was my first. It's in the heart of Centennial Ave in a little strip mall with ample parking m. You walk into a cozy dining area with 5 community style tables & bench seating. Typical Chipotle like setting and menu. It was a sumptuous perfect sized meal . A side , entree and a fountain drink for each. Mexican street corn - Topped with shredded cheese & smoky chipotle aioli . I was literally able to sink my teeth into it with ease. Sweet , soft $ delightful. Chips with Guac which was chunky & mellow in flavor. Chips was not oily but could have been more crispy . Fountain drink . Just sampled the Guava Fresca which didn't have any specific flavor name other than sugar. Soft Tacos - Tried with 2 different protein choices 1.Pollo Asada & 2.Pollo Tinga which is supposedly their most popular. - A perfectly loaded taco which came to life by adding the side salsas especially Habenero. Burrito box was also with Pollo Tinga which was served with lettuce , cheese , crema , rice topped with Fresh picco. A good medley of typical Burrito bowl ingredients which was good as is but was even better with the Valentina & Habenero sauces. This is a newer chain & a fresh take on Chipotle , which doesn't take away from Chipotle's goodness . Yet, Tacoria has it going for them with new & affordable menu choices, the variety salsa station, community style setup & most importantly flavorful food . It's like dejavu - wrote a 5-star review for Tacoria New Brunswick back in 2016 and here we are 6 years later! Tacoria is my faaaavorite. The quality of the food has remained consistent over the years with the 3 locations I've tried... flavorful and delicious. There's literally something for everyone here ranging from healthy salads to cheesy quesadillas - AND a large variety of proteins to chose from as well! I cannot visit Tacoria without ordering the nachos - they are to die for. We accidentally ordered the tray instead of the pie... no regrets. Left with full bellies, happy hearts, and a tonnn of leftovers! What made our dining experience extraordinary was the friendly staff, the A1 music (it's allll about the vibezz), and the creative ambiance (the artistic details make for such a welcoming environment!) SO happy that I have another Tacoria in the area. Honestly whichever location you go to the food is sure to satisfy! read more

I've never had Tacoria before so I was excited to see that one just opened up close to home. The soft opening is this week so I decided to stop by. The person who took our order was super friendly and even stopped by to see how we were doing when we got our food. There were several tables for dining in. I got the mission style burrito with carne asada. We also shared a side of Mexican street corn. The Mexican street corn is a must try! The sauce was very flavorful. I also really enjoyed my burrito, everything tasted fresh. I had the guava lime refresca and it was refreshing. I'll definitely be returning to try other things on the menu. read more
This has to be the first elite experience in 21 months for me. It's nice to feel somewhat in the norm to be invited to this event. Though this wasn't your typical Elitist round-up, it certainly a step toward normalcy. The manager and staff were very receptive on my arrival. Intros not withstanding, music prevailed throughout my experience. The decor was quite artistic with its Latino theme. There are 6 benches that can seat 4-5 each. Most were filled. Take out looked very brisk too with shelves to help customers pick up their phone orders. Tacos and quesadillas were excellent and fresh. The horchata was delish. Ample parking and clean restrooms made it a delightful experience. Since this branch has been open for a few weeks, they seem to have gotten most of the "kinks" out. Good Luck. read more
Hands down the service was exceptional! I came here for a yelp event and they offered a meal, a side, and a drink for you and a guest. The person who took my order was so patient with me as I was deciding what to order. I ended up getting mexican street corn, chips and guacamole, two burrito boxes - one with rajas and the other with golden avocado. They have really good lemonade too, which I tried along with the horchata. They also have a sauce station on the side where you pick up your order from. It's self-serve and they have a good variety of sauces. Everything was pleasant and I was happy with the portions and quality of ingredients. Also note the sides are shareable so try their mexican street corn and chips and guac. read more
Tacoria has really tasty and extremely filling burritos/ bowls with different options for toppings and protein. My go-to is a vegetarian bowl with all the toppings and golden avocado as the protein (10/10). There are great sauces with varying levels of spice to top it all off. The service is usually quick. You can get the food to go or sit in at some of the tables inside. The food tastes great either way! read more
I was so excited to try out this taco place! When I first walked in , I definitely was not expecting the atmosphere , it's like a young cool modern vibe. The cashier was very nice and helpful with selecting menu items ! I decided to get the burrito box with carne asada with a side of Mexican street corn. First I wanna start off with the burrito box and how the flavors really came together, as for the street corn, it was definitely super tasty I recommend trying that out! They offer three special flavored drinks on the side , I did try all three as they were really good but the one that stuck out the most was the limonada flavored one. They also offer different sauces some spicy and a basic one all very good too! I did like that they offer gluten free options and they do specify it on the menu which is awesome for gluten free consumers ! Overall I definitely had good experience, I'd recommend trying this place out ! read more
I would 100% recommend. It's a really cute decorated place with good music and a fun and relaxing environment. The food is absolutely delicious I wish they filled the bowl up, but maybe I'm just greedy for good food. They make everything for you in the kitchen. You can order at the register and for those who don't wanna interact with people there are screens you can order from as well. The house made lemonade was light and refreshing. They have an amazing variety of sauces. The employees were really nice and accommodating. read more
**this is a new location in Piscataway. There is a lot of parking space in the lot. Right now the hours are between 4pm-9pm** Service: everyone that worked there was super friendly. While we were eating, two different staff members came over to ask us how's everything. We ordered the food and it came out within 5 minutes. The place started to get pretty busy around 5:30-6pm, however they were still very accommodating to everyone. The seating area is small, so on a busy night I would suggest to come for an early dinner or to do pick up. The interior is very trendy and everything was self service. Food: we ordered the spicy chorizo burrito, which was not a favorite of mine, but it was very flavorful. Personally, I thought there was too much beans. The burrito boxes are my usual go to. This was the first time I tried their Mexican corn and it is so flavorful and buttery. The corn comes right off the cob!! Also you can't go wrong with getting chips and guac. The bag of chips was very thick and crunchy as well. I enjoyed the drinks very much! Both the horchata and the guava drinks were delicious! Price: $9-$10 for the entrees - there is an additional cost for some proteins. $2-$4 for the small bites. About $3 for the drinks. read more

SO happy that another location opened in the area!! You really can't beat the quality of food and customer service at Tacoria and this location is no different! We came on a Sunday evening when it was starting to get busy. There was no line to order and the staff were very friendly and patient as we decided what to order. Our food was ready in about 15 min. My go-to order is the burrito with Pollo Tinga, which has the perfect amount of spice for me. Do not underestimate the burritos--they are huge and super filling! My friend got the nacho pie, which were also delicious. The nachos are really crunchy and loaded with meat, veggies, beans, and cheese. If you're looking to try a new side dish, I highly recommend the Mexican street corn! And their specialty drinks here are SO good! They'll definitely cool you down after each some of their spicier food. My favorite was the Guava and Basil and the Horchata was delicious, too. Overall, a very lively environment and a great place to catch up with friends. They also play the best throwback hits! read more

I recently had the pleasure of trying the Tacoria Piscataway location. These were some of my favorite nachos in central Jersey, they were absolutely delicious! The came with Al pastor, sour cream, jalapeño, pineapple slaw, black beans & of course chips. The Al pastor was tender and flavorful, while the sour cream added a creamy and tangy element to the dish. I'm lactose intolerant, but I let it slide just this once. The jalapeño provided a nice kick of heat, which was balanced out by the sweetness of the pineapple slaw. The chips were crispy and held up well under the weight of all the toppings, and the black beans added a nice texture and earthy flavor. I paired all this deliciousness with their smokey roja salsa & their verde salsa. Both were good but the smokey roja was absolutely my favorite. Lastly, their drinks are to DIE for. The horchata was amazing for all those who can enjoy dairy. For me, I love guava. So, the fresh guava basil juice paired perfectly with my meal & made me feel like I was on vacation somewhere with a drink in hand. Maybe next time I'll bring a flask of tequila to mix it with. Just KIDDING.....haha....unless.... I also really appreciated the staff, who was very friendly in helping us take advantage of the BOGO promo that was going on. Overall, these nachos were a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors. The additional sides of salsa & delicious drinks put this meal over the top. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the mood for some delicious Mexican food in Central Jers. read more

This place is great. I just thought it was a bit pricy for being a fast casual type of place. Orders can get placed at a kiosk inside, and after a brief wait they call your name to pickup. My taco trio tasted amazing but was cold. I loved all the different types of hot sauce they had available. read more

I am so happy there is now a Tacoria in my town! We no longer have to drive to New Brunswick and find a parking -- le struggle. Tacoria is my favorite mexican chain fast food! Beats Chipotle by far! The workers here are super nice and you just order up front and they call your name once your order is ready. Pretty simple. I always get the carne asada burrito, the steak is made to perfection each and every time. I've tried the bowl and tacos before but nothing beats the burrito! The chips here are thicccccc & crispy. Very flavorful and delicious, however, they only have guac and no queso :(. Maybe in the near future? Please? Aside from that, they do offer I believe 4 homemade salsa and they all are delicious! The spiciest one has a kick to it but it's not crazy hot. I would for sure suggest going here for your cravings! read more

If you are dining in do yourself a favor and sit in the back during the colder winter months ;if not you will freeze like I did especially on Saturday they were exceptionally busy! I can see why they had so much traffic amazing options choose tacos nachos burritos and much more then choose a protein or for our vegans or vegetarians an impossible option as well as just veggies. Great soft drink selection and agua frescas that we're delicious. The staff was super inviting so I can see why it is a hot spot ! read more

This new location looks great and the service was very fast! We ordered tacos (Al pastor and carne asada and golden avocado), burrito box with Al pastor, Mexican corn, and chips and guacamole. My favorite out of the tacos was the golden avocado which was very well fried. The burrito box was also really good and I like that they have different hot sauces to eat with. The mexican corn was also really moist. My friend doesn't usually like corn but she finished hers and went to order another after! I would definitely recommend! read more

The tacos are great. They even have vegetarian/vegan options. I've been here a few times and I always get chorizo, golden avocado, and Brussels sprouts. I don't know how it happens, but they somehow manage to make Brussels sprouts taste absolutely delicious. I'm not a fan of the "Chipotle aioli" though- it's like a seasoned mayonnaise, kinda gross. I prefer to get it taken out. One thing that is really awesome about this place is that you can use a touchscreen to order and make sure they don't put anything you don't want on your stuff. I never have a great outcome when trying to order through an employee. Another good thing is that there is also an employee washing tables as soon as people leave. One thing that really bothers me about this place is that the gender neutral bathroom does NOT have a lock on it. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW they operate without fixing it. It's been over 3 months and it's still broken. I had a really uncomfortable encounter with a stranger walking in twice!! If you need to use the bathroom, have a friend stand watch, otherwise it's not safe. read more

5 stars all around for this Tacoria! It was a casual eatery with some street art and cozy lighting as their interior decor. For food we got the tacos, burrito bowl, street corn, and guacamole. For the tacos, we tried the al pastor and the chorizo - personally I enjoyed the al pastor more than the chorizo. They also had 4 different kinds of homemade salsa that we were able to try. Everything came out quick and tasted fresh so no complaints . The horchata, limonada, and the guava basil juices were the perfect drinks to go with our food. The horchata and guava basil were my favorites especially. I would choose to go here over any fast food place for some quick casual bites . read more

As expected Tacoria was busy for a Saturday evening. Stopped in for a quick bite to take home and was pleasantly surprised by the well mannered staff and cleanliness of the new hot spot. Limited menu made your decision easy. Decided to skip the carbs and grabbed a salad while my BF scored a pie of nachos. Was hoping for big flavor in the carne asada (steak) but was disappointed by its flavor and chewy texture. Opted to skip the pineapple/cilantro dressing and used the habanero sauce (was mild in my opinion) and sour cream. As a side the corn was good and just as I remembered. Agua fresca limonade is a must. Would stop by if I'm in the area or a quick lunch but not if I'm looking for authentic Mexican food. read more

I love Tacoria! Love it. The decor is awesome. It's very Instagrammable if you're into that. The staff are so kind and sweet. All the salsas are homemade in house; the salsa bar is awesome! You can try them all! They also have horchata :) I am a huge fan of the chicken quesadilla and the Mexican street corn. My mom also loves the Brussels sprouts and trust me she never eats them! Have been twice now and looking forward to more visits with friends and family in the near future. read more
