Birria Kitchen in Edison is a small, cute place that is clean and quiet, with very friendly staff. We ordered beef birria tacos with cheese, a birria bowl, Mexican street corn esquites, and two passion fruit juices. The food was very flavorful and we enjoyed every bite, but it was a bit salty, so make sure to drink plenty of water. The passion fruit juice was refreshing, but not enough to balance all the salt. Overall, I really recommend this place, and next time I'll just order more water.

Solid birria tacos spot. The taco bowls are a good portion size as well. Fresh ingredient all around. The 4 tacos could have been a bigger portion, was still hungry after eating them. The side of corn was very good, and can put it on everything : tacos, bowls, etc. The warm chips and salsa hit the spot too. Check this place out if your in the Edison area and craving Birria Tacos !!

Hands down the best birria tacos I have tried in Jersey so far. Service was quick. Tacos and consume were extremely juicy and flavorful. There was plenty of seating inside. Will definitely be craving this spot again.

Food and service is amazing. Best Birria I have ever had! The beef is tender and flavorful. Horchata is delicious too.

The food was great, tacos were crispy while the meat was juicy. Consome was flavorful and had a nice kick. Seems like majority of their business is from delivery and takeouts. My partner and I dined in and we have no complaints. This is a quick grab and go place! interior was clean and simple. Would definitely come back.

My new go to Birria and taco place. This place is unbelievable good. I have been trying to find a Birria place that didn't cost an arm and a leg, and I found it! The portions are big, clean, filling, and CHEAP. 4 tacos are about $14, compare to other places where I paid $25 for 3 tiny tacos. There is only chicken and beef, and as a person who only eats halal it made me soooo happy. I didn't have to worry about there being a ton of pork on the menu! This place is super lowkey, hidden from the world but super trendy and spacious inside. Definitely great for meeting up with friends to overeat great food. The consommé was hot and flavorful, and if you needed more of a kick, they had a hot sauce station! The staff was very kind and helpful with all the questions and when we came back for a second round of tacos! This is the type of place to order everything on the menu with your friends and go crazy. I highly highly recommend and I will be back!

This review is pending from July, I went here for lunch on a weekday with a friend around ~2pm and it wasn't busy although they had folks coming for takeout. Service was average - she answered our questions but wasn't super friendly nor mean, just average. Ambiance is fresh and clean. The food was good but felt like it lacked flavor or punch. I will come back again to give it another chance.

I love a restaurant that focuses on one kind of food and does it perfectly. The menu at Birria Kitchen is small and I applaud that! I've eaten in here multiple times and gotten takeout just as many times. Customers order and pay at the counter and can get bottled beverages from the refrigerator case. I'm happy that the restaurant offers Starbucks bottled drinks. The flavors in all the tacos are satisfying and the portions are good. I usually get a Mexican street corn along with my tacos. There's a very small free parking lot. The restaurant is in a little strip mall next to a pizzeria.

Place was decent, more of in a hidden away location and I didn't know this existed in Edison. The store is decently sized and very organized. The one thing I didn't like was that how cold it was inside the actual restaurant, I did bring a jacket but still felt like it was too windy with too many fans on. You order upfront and then sit at the tables and the waitress brings your food, services is decent and the staff cleans right after the customers leaves. Now time for the food, I've had plenty of tacos and I feel like these are decent, taste way better with the spicy green sauce. My husband got the burrito and said it was average. We would be down to come back and try other food items in the future. Hopefully they expand the menu a bit more.

This was an ok place. I got the street corn on the cobb, hot Cheetos corn on the co b, birria tacos, 2 chicken and 2 beef, churros, and a tres leches cake. The tacos lacked flavor, the corn was undercooked in my opinion. The best thing was the churros with the white icning. I can eat that all day. All in all, check this place out for lunch.

This place is a hidden gem serving up some seriously good birria! Everything on their menu is super authentic. You guys have to check it out today! And for my adventurous people, they have hot Cheetos street corn and hot Cheetos esquites !

I feel like since the last time I've been here they downsize the food however the food was good no complaints. They just wish it was a little more for the same price. Luckily, I had pictures from the past to remember my serving size and I was not impressed this to go around. However, the service was respectful and ambience is very welcoming.

I instantly realized how the interior looks identical to Los Tacos No. 1. The Coca-Cola insignia is displayed to the left and right of the restaurant name. The menu is painted on a large wall. Even the employees wear white uniforms and white chef hats. Originally, I was confined this restaurant was going to be a cheap knock-off. Ordering is done through an in-store kiosk. Although I was skeptical using the computer screen, I found it easy to navigate and was able to fulfill my lunch order without requesting any assistance. The meal took a few minutes to arrive, but that was because the servers were freshly making it on the spot. I started to get a good feeling as I witnessed the chefs in action. As soon as I took my first bite, I realized I was mistaken about my initial impression. All tacos are prepared with fresh ingredients with a smoky flavor. The shells are soft and doughy. Juices from the protein slightly compromised the appearance, but the taste is fantastic! There is a salsa bar offering complimentary toppings for your tacos. Limes, pickled onions, and three flavors of salsa are an option. The seating is kind of tight, but it's meant to be eaten in a fast paced atmosphere. Overall, I didn't think I was going to have a great experience, but this location surpassed my expectations by a long shot. I've been here a couple months ago, and it's wild to see how much it has grown in popularity. The last few times we have visited, it has been packed or overflowing with customers. A good sign, if you ask me! The tacos are uniquely curated and not your typical selection. I had a Smashburger taco, because I love ground beef, and also a delicious shrimp taco. Any one you get, it is tasty, fresh, prepared right in front of your eyes, and my best of all- so colorful! There is a salsa/sauce/lime bar, which is constantly refilled and has plenty of to-go cups and boxes. I cannot recommend the Agua de Horchata drink enough. When I see Horchata on a menu, I automatically gravitate towards it. Here, the drink is not too thick or overwhelming in flavor. It is nicely balanced with the cinnamon and milky tastes. If you get the 16 oz, the drink comes in a cute square shaped cup. Love this taco joint and coming by every so often to see what is new on the menu and how well they are doing. There is plenty of parking in the plaza lot. If you are in the area, I highly recommend. Definitely worth a shot!

Due to the long wait (1 hr+) in the fall, we ended up leaving and not trying out this restaurant. This time, I was pleasantly surprised that we were seated within a few minutes in the outside dining area, even without a reservation this go around. The drinks are the focal point! There are so many options, all of which are unique and delicious, and they come out looking so fun. I had the Tamarindo and my husband opted for El Jefe. The Tamarindo had a delicious, sour tajin rim. I was sold from that point on! Before any food came out, we were provided with complementary chips, pico de gallo, and hot sauce. A nice way to ease into the food. Our appetizer was a citrusy shrimp dish, with the seafood plated on avocado mouse. I've never tried avocado in this format and it was so delightful- soft and creamy! The sauce was perfectly citrusy and the presentation made it look like art. My main dish was the spicy shrimp tacos. They were sufficiently packed, not overfilled, which I appreciated. I was full after one taco and had two more to take home. Overall, this is a good energy, lively spot with loud Latin music and good eats. Slightly on the pricier side, but well worth the energetic atmosphere. Staff were so friendly and helpful- couldn't ask for more in this department. Great way to spend a summer evening!
