Food was seasoned well and the serving size was abundant. Tortillas were very fresh along with the veggies they served with the meal. The staff members were very warm and kept checking on me; they even let me know about upcoming specials. Really happy with this place and the service I was given. We ordered via DoorDash since you were staying at a friends house for our trip there in New Jersey . The tacos were great however I was expecting to have the two corn tortillas instead of flour tortilla. My boyfriend liked his burrito so I assumed that's decent. The main thing that needs to be worked on is the Sopes. The tortilla was super super super super dry and it just didn't taste like anything. I was actually disappointed because sopes are my favorite. Hiya Adventurers! Grabbed takeout from here this past Friday. We ordered the shrimp salad, chicken flautas, and beans with rice. I don't think I've had this great of flauntas in a while. They were crispy, covered in lettuce, crema, avocado, and crumble cheese. I wish they'd added white onions to kick the flavor up, but still delicious. I ended up with two for breakfast LOL. The shrimp salad was really good--came in a crispy tortilla bowl, reminded me of the fried crisp noodles from a Chinese place. The shrimp were baby shrimp and plentiful, also served with lettuce, Italian dressing, and of course spicy salsa dressing. This is my go to place on my lunch break when I am craving Tex Mex Food! I phone in my order, and by the time I get there 10 minutes later, it is ready for pick up. My favorite thing is the huevos Mexicana, which is scrambled eggs with bell pepper and hot peppers, served with rice and beans, and 4 fresh hot tortillas. It is less than $10 and it's more than I can even eat in one sitting. It's so flavorful, good, and satisfying! The woman who works there, Anna, is friendly and always seems to be in a good mood, which I appreciate! I like that everything is packed up for me to go, including napkins and plastic utensils, so I can head on over to the park and enjoy my lunch outside. This cafe has a big refrigerator case with a nice selection of diet and regular Snapple, sodas, and lemonade. I've always found free street parking within a couple of blocks of the restaurant. The menus online for this business have a price difference of approximately $2 (or worse) from the actual price, e.g., the panini is not $8, it's $10. My fault was not looking at grubhub's menu since a copy of their menu came up first when googled. They even put up a sign inside saying, sorry the current menu does not reflect the new prices.... (see photo). I hope this is temporary, but my suggestion is... please update your menu, and everyone will be happier and every expectations are matched. I'm still leaving a 4-star review mostly for the food though. Now that I got that out of my system :-) I can focus on the food. Which is, actually very, very good! I didn't feel that hungry and ordered a plain quesadilla with mushroom, and it's overflowing with mushroom and it tastes very fresh. The Tex-Mex flavor was kickin' hard when you bite into their TM burger. The same with the TM taco -- fresh and delicious. The El Paso panini is similarly good and the steak well-cooked. We grabbed our food and drove 5-7 minutes away to the Riverview Park, which gives a majestic view of the Raritan river and the bridges! read more

We had visited this spot early this year and enjoyed every bite of our meal. It was our first time, and we didn't know what to expect of the food, but we weren't disappointed. The rice and beans, as well as the beefiness of the empanadas, were cooked to such a warm, homemade level that we've dreamed about it ever since. I got a delicious hibiscus drink as well which was something I was wanting for years since I had last visited Guatemala and had pure hibiscus. I would've loved to see a bit more decorations or interior design upgrading, but maybe one day this can happen so it can be even more exciting to eat here. Definitely coming back! read more

This little place is a real find! Craving some Tacos I decided to give this place a try and what a delicious surprise and treat for the taste buds. I'm a vegetarian and as always expected everything to be loaded with beans rice lettuce cheese the usual but what I got was the freshest veggies and super yummy home made tasting tortilla. Chimichanga and mini tacos were amazing. Unusual and fresh tasting veggies were the real hero perfectly flavored and without the usual suspect covering of generic cheese sour cream etc. Everything was cooked fresh and worth the wait. I am not sure why this place is getting some of the negative comments that it has been getting. It is a no frills place that seems to cater to takeout. The burritos my daughter and I had there were tasty. My daughter has asked to return there numerous times. The burritos were big enough that I got lunch out of them the next day. Maybe people are expecting something higher end? My advice to them would be to add a little more personality to the place. There was no music playing while we were in there either time we visited. The decor is serviceable and clean, just no personality. The family running the place seems nice but it is hard to really gauge that since they are pretty quiet.
