My friends and I decided to come here after work one evening because people said this restaurant was good. Ambience: The restaurant has dim lighting but enjoyable with the music playing in the restaurant. The music is not too loud, and the people's chatter is distinct as well. Juan's Buffalo Wings - The wings were cooked to the correct temperate and was not dry at all. It tastes better than most restaurants that serve buffalo wings. Americano Burger: The burger was cooked to perfection with the request of medium well. The burger was not dry and was delicious, but I wish they had added ketchup to the burger itself. Enchiladas Banderas: This entree was delicious, and my friend devoured it with every bite. Island Coconut Martini: This definitely had the coconut taste as well as the rum. The rum is a little strong and they could have used a little more coconut flavor to it to even it out. Overall: I would come back here only if my friends wanted to come here again. The lack of communication among the staff here is honestly frustrating. I asked for a pitcher of margaritas and was given three completely different answers: first I was told they don't have it, then that they don't make it because only one person is working, and then that they've never made it at all. That's three completely different responses for the same simple request. I even spoke with a manager, who told me they don't make pitchers--but I've been here multiple times and have ordered a pitcher before with no issue. It makes no sense. At that point, I was so confused I had to double-check the menu myself (which clearly lists it). It shouldn't be the customer's job to prove what's on your own menu. The inconsistency and lack of basic communication between staff is disappointing. It makes the experience feel unorganized and unprofessional. If you're running a business, your team should at least be on the same page about what you offer. Honestly, you're better off just going to Jose Tejas, which is only about 5 minutes away. I had an incredibly painful experience at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant. Near the end of our meal, I calmly asked a waitress named Annie for a glass of water. She rudely refused and said the kitchen was closed, even though other staff members were still actively walking in and out of it. When Annie went back inside, the staff loudly mocked and made fun of us from the kitchen--which we could easily hear since we were sitting right next to it. When we asked to speak to the manager, Anitha, she was just as hostile. Instead of sorting the situation, she refused to give us water, claimed we were trespassing, and threatened to call the police if we didn't leave immediately. We never raised our voices or argued. There was absolutely no excuse for this aggressive, unprofessional behavior. Avoid this place! read more

Stopped in here for a quick bite on an early Friday afternoon and enjoyed my experience. I wish I remembered the bartenders name however she had to be awesome as she was very welcoming and also mentioned she was at the Kendrick Lamar concert the night before! Was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. We went for Saturday Brunch, but ended up ordering from the regular menu. I haven't been here since this place was a Famous Dave's when I was little. First impression, great music and we were greeted by a host right away and brought us to be seated. One issue I noticed right away was one of the menus we got was dirty which was very off-putting to say the least. But our server came to greet us right away and was super nice. She was new so while some of our questions didn't have answers she made the effort to ask others or check to give us answer. As for the food, it was decent. I ordered the Birra Tacos but they got entered as a Quesadillas which was okay. They offered to remake it but I wasn't interested in waiting. The birria consume was very fatty and the dish it was in was chipped. It should be a common practice that any chips or breaks in tbqleware should be thrown out. The Birra Quesadilla plate was not worth the price of $19. It didn't even come with rice and beans! My fiancé got the Big Supreme Burrito which was "meh" in his words. The "super" burritos were the size of 2 Taco Bell burritos so definitely don't order them if you feeling really hungry. To conclude, nothing to write home about. I definitely got the vibe that this place was more for people to drink during a happy hour and enjoy their wide range of appetizers. So if that's something your looking for I say come give this place a try, otherwise I think there are better places that offer the full dinner experience. read more

Came here with a large group of people (we reserved ahead of time). They accommodated us well and the service was friendly and attentive. The food satisfaction was a mixed bag. Some people really enjoyed their food and others not so much. If spice level is a problem for you, I do suggest asking your server what the spice level is for any dish you order. One of our plates needed to be sent back because the guest didn't know it was going to be spicy and couldn't tolerate the spice level. It didn't mention in the menu that it would be spicy. I am not sure how spicy it actually was but it was enough that she needed to send it back which she has never done before in my company. The salsa that they start you off with with the chips is also spicy for anyone with a low tolerance to spice, so that's something to keep in mind. I love spice so I enjoyed it. I did not care much for my meal. I ordered the taco salad and found it bland and uninspired. I was excited about the tortilla bowl it comes in but that's about it. I wish I would have ordered the steak, which was my other choice, a friend ordered it and she was very happy with it. The lava cake was a bit too dry especially for that type of cake and the fried ice cream a bit chewy. Overall, I wasn't too pleased with the food but because others were and the service was good I would consider going back, but I wouldn't be the one to suggest it. read more

We celebrated a birthday with a big group of 15 so we decided to try this restaurant. We made a reservation in advance for Saturday at 5pm. There were no issues with parking or seating. We had two little kids with us and the wait staff was accommodating with seating. One con I felt was that it was really dark and loud in the restaurant I thought there would be better lighting. I got the Margaritas famous taster which was a sampler of three items: the chicken burrito, beef taco, and beef enchilada. And it came with a side of rice and beans. The food came out really fast and fresh so I was really impressed. My food was great; the taco shell was hard and tasted a little stale but otherwise everything else was fine. We told our waitress that it was our friends birthday and they came out with a dessert and sang happy birthday: they even gave her a sombrero to take home! It was so unexpected and such a nice surprise. Dessert was amazing. The tacos came out quickly every time I asked for another helping, which was really appreciated. To start the meal, chips and salsa were served. The chips were standard while the salsa was appetizing with a slight spicy factor to them. As I mentioned, I ordered all you can eat tacos ($15.95) which was offered on Tuesdays. Beef or chicken can be chosen as the protein. The first order came with three tacos with rice and beans while the following orders came with two and no sides. To my surprise, every order of tacos was filled to capacity. I had a total of thirteen tacos and had each combination except chicken in a soft flour tortilla. Both chicken and beef were seasoned very well with a slight kick to each. They came with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. I came here with some friends while celebrating a bachelor party. We called to make a reservation, and the service on the phone wasn't the best. However, once we arrived our table was ready nonetheless. There is plenty of parking in a private lot. The decor of the place is similar to that of many other Mexican places. The service was decent throughout, but not the best. The food was also just average. Also, my order wasn't made correctly even though i confirmed it with the waiter. The most confusing thing about this place was the music. At one point it was country music, then rap, and the music in the bathroom was completely different then the music in the dining area. It was a bit confusing and made the vibe a bit weird. It seems like a good place to go with a group since they did have margarita flights. Visited Margaritas over the weekend for dinner. We only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. It offers a casual ambiance with tasty Mexican food. Our server was kind and evenly attentive to our table which was much appreciated. Complimentary chips and salsa are always a plus. For apps, we ordered the guac and fried pickles. The guac itself was extremely fresh. My only critique there would be to have enough pico included to spread evenly to the amount t of guac. The fried pickles had great texture but a bit on the salty side. My husband enjoyed his "Margaritas Famous Taster" entree where he was able to sample a little of everything. So I remember when this place was a famous dave's but im just saying that this is way better than famous dave's. I ordered a burger from the kids menu because I was not that hungry and when I ordered the fries were amazing they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside also I tried some of the street corn and it was spicy but still amazing! Also the fried ice cream was amazing the breading was sweet pretzel and the ice cream tasted like cinnamon a bit, Now onto the service. Right on the bat the service was amazing the lady that took our order was nice and even offered us some more chips when they ran out! Next the ambiance of the restaurant it was awesome! Not very vegan-friendly. The menu is marked, which is helpful, but I ordered a taco bowl without sour cream and cheese. I didn't expect a discount for removing them, but I also didn't choose one of the listed proteins (chicken, beef, or carnitas). Instead, I asked for grilled veggies. I was charged a $2 fee for adding the grilled veggies, even though the meat was removed. Upcharged veggies were a few peppers and a some thin slices of squash. Disappointing choice by the restaurant, and unfortunately, we probably won't be returning. read more
