A coworker brought me to this place. We arrived in the middle of lunch hour and it was packed. Parking was tough but I got lucky with a spot out front. There is also parking around back. I was worried about getting a table so I sat down and my coworker ordered. That was unnecessary. The tables flip frequently. People are not in there long and the staff gets the tables cleaned quickly. I got a Spicy Chorizo taco and a burrito. Both were excellent. I really liked the taco. But... Fighting World Hunger One Taco At A Time. That's quite a slogan and a challenging mission. Today I did my part to that end. After reading multiple reviews from different sources, I was anxious to check it out. I went in about lunch time on a Saturday and the place was starting to get busy. When you walk in, it's immediately clear how the place is set up so there in no confusion about where to go or what to do. As you enter on the right, you see the huge menu on the wall and the line to enter to place your order. You pay and get a plastic disc with your number. When you sit down, there is a small metal disc holder where you place it and the Server will bring it out. It took less than 10 minutes to get through the line, place my order and pay, find a table and fill my cup at the self-serve fountain zone. I did the meal deal that gets you two tacos, a side and a beverage. I had a Korean Steak and a Mahi Mahi both on flour tortilla. They were both excellent, packed with goodness, fresh and tasty. The Mexican Corn was good but not as much flavor as I have had before. There are several side choices so I will try something else my next visit, After about 20 minutes, the place was buzzing and tables and booths were filling up and the line was forming. It was organized, efficient and very clean. It was clear everyone was well trained and knew their job and there was a focus on Customer Service. There are several booths and mostly 4 tops scattered throughout. I was sitting in a booth near the door and there was a steady stream of people coming in to pick up their 'go' orders. There was a family of 5 who were standing by the door, all looking at menus for about 10 minutes. At one point a gentleman came over to ask if they had any questions about the menu. He answered all their questions and they immediately were in the line to order. The bathroom was very clean, the dining room was large and well lit and decorated. The food comes on a small serving tray so when I was done, I was looking for a place to dump my trash and store the tray. A nice young lady named, Keisha, I may miss the spelling there. Came up to me and offered to take the tray and we chatted briefly about their stated mission and how she liked working there. She was very enthusiastic and it was clearly genuine. They have a great thing going on here and it seems they are meeting their goals of feeding hungry children which is an honorable cause. As of my visit they have donated 363,349 meals! I hope they locate one in Fort Mill or Rock Hill, it would be a welcome addition. Black beans that were not what I ordered (not refried). My girlfriend's cold rice with a dollop of pesto. Their version of pesto rice was disgusting . We love every time we come to this place! Delicious food options and great service. I try something different each time because everything is so good and I want to try it all. Recently got the pimento chicken with honey taco. It's better than the chick-fil-a version! I also loved the side of corn! We got the small side of chips and queso. So I whipped in and had some delicious tacos that you could get in flour or corn tortillas and then had a flour puffy shell option which was like eating a taco salad in taco shell.
